Abstract

Reading is important so that we can understand the reading and be able to describe it. To be able to understand the content of reading language students must often understand the book being read, identify the content of the book, find new knowledge that has not been known before, and be able to understand the intention of the author of the book. The research was written with a correlational design based on the percentage of results from the acquisition of research on the relationship of reading ability in learning achievement Indonesian grade VI students at UPTD SDN 125543 Pematangsiantar. This shows that the reading ability of elementary school students at UPTD SD Negeri 125543 Pematang Siantar is included in the good category because it shows that the frequency is the most. Based on information, the results of research and discussion show a significant correlation between reading ability and learning achievement Indonesian grade VI at UPTD SD Negeri 125543 Pematang Siantar in the 2023/2024 school year. The magnitude of the relationship between the variables of reading ability and the learning process Indonesian 0.3691. At the significance level of 0.05, the results of 0.3691 > 0.3494 were obtained, so it can be concluded that there is a significant correlation between the two variables. So if students have a high reading point then the achievement of learning Indonesian.

Abstract

This research aims to assess the extent of the role of Koran teachers towards children in Bonan Dolok village in situations of community service. This research involved various individuals from various communities who were involved in this KKN service effort. The role of a Koran teacher is the same as a teacher at school, except that Koran teachers have a certain schedule which is held based on agreement with parents, which is different from public schools where there is a special schedule. The method used in this research is the Participation Action Research method. The results of this service research show that Koran teachers have a very important role for children, because the presence of Koran teachers can improve children's ability to read the Koran, increase religious and moral development in children, and also increase children's understanding of the Islamic religion. . From the data analysis activities carried out there are several things that hinder and implement this Koran teacher. This research also suggests that there should be further steps taken by the community to provide recitation for children.

Abstract

The personality of a child is determined by several factors: genetic and environmental factors. Parents who are the first environment a child encounters provide a great contribution in shaping the personality of a child. Families have models of parenting as well as methods of providing education. There are three kinds of parenting that parents can apply to children, namely: democratic parenting, permissiveness and authority. Democratic parenting gives children freedom responsibly, while authoritarian parenting is a way of educating children by using authoritarian leadership, that is, parents determine all policies, steps and tasks that must be done. Authoritarian parenting reflects the attitude of parents who act hard and tend to discriminate. Permissive parenting patterns have the characteristics of parents to give full freedom to children to do so that sometimes children do actions that are against the rules. In providing parenting to children, some strategies provide education with exemplary methods, familiarization, attention, advice and methods of punishment.

Abstract

Technological advances which result in children being lazy about reading books and preferring to play games on gadgets have a very bad impact on the intelligence of the nation's children. Reading is one of the most difficult things for many people, including children. Reading is essential for success in education. The benefits of reading are increasing intelligence and having broad insight, training critical thinking, improving memory and concentration. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method, with literature review collection techniques. Literature review is scientific writing which includes identification, reading relevant research, taking notes, making summaries, conducting library research, and writing general opinions. The aim of this research is to determine the importance of reading literacy and the strategies used to increase reading interest. The results of the research are the strategies used to increase interest in reading in 3 stages, namely the habituation stage, development stage and learning stage. The inhibiting factors in its implementation are lack of motivation from teachers so that students become lazy, limited funds which result in a lack of adequate facilities and infrastructure.

Abstract

Learning is an activity that involves many different elements such as: students, teachers, curriculum, facilities and infrastructure. Before starting learning, teachers should pay attention to various elements of the learning system, such as: This includes learning preparation, planning, preparing relevant material, developing methods that are adapted to students' situations and conditions, as well as providing learning resources and other media. Learning tools play an important role in the success of the learning process, so learning tools must be created and followed by teachers. Data was obtained through instruments in the form of observation sheets, interview guides and questionnaires, followed by descriptive analysis. Based on the results of the validator evaluation, the learning device is declared valid. Proven to increase learning activities and improve students' creative thinking abilities. The learning tools developed in this research can be used by Aqidah Akhlak teachers and become motivation to always develop professional competence, especially in the learning process. The thinking skills that need to be developed by students are divided into two types, namely higher order thinking skills and lower order thinking skills. High-level thinking skills in the cognitive realm include students' abilities to analyze, evaluate, and create, all of which are advanced stages of low-level thinking skills which consist of students' skills in remembering, understanding, and applying. A directed process of critical thinking for mental activities using reason in solving problems, analyzing opinions carried out scientifically. Critical thinking is the ability to express opinions in a systematic way that enables students to form their own opinions with a deep understanding of an issue.

Abstract

Viktor E. Frankl believes that the key for a person to survive and live in times of crisis is to find and have a good meaning in life. However, when squeezed by difficult conditions such as the loss of a family member due effect of broken home, not everyone can find the right meaning in life, so they need professional help from a counselor to be able to find meaningful meaning in life. Therefore, this paper aims to describe Viktor E. Frankl's counseling approach regarding the meaning of life and its relevance in the current crisis. Using the literature review method on various sources (articles and scientific books) related to the topic of discussion. This research found that to help troubled individuals (depressed, anxious, useless) due to loss of meaning in life during the current crisis, a counselor can use individual counseling with the Viktor E. Frankl logotherapy approach with the help of several techniques such as paradoxical intention, dereflection, questions Socrates.

Abstract

Currently, the world is undergoing a shift to the age of society 5.0, where all aspects of human life depend on information technology. The paradigm of education has changed in the era of society 5,0, which is centered on the creation of knowledge and the innovative use of knowledge. Students are required to have critical thinking skills, communication, collaboration, creativity, adaptive skills, and technological skills. Therefore, to address the technological challenges of learning models also undergo increases. One of them with project-based learning is a learning model that prioritizes students as subjects or centres of learning. Students are called student centers and teachers are called facilitators. In this learning, the ultimate goal to be achieved is to be able to produce a real product. The aim of this research is to identify concepts and analyze the impact of Project Based Learning (PBP) on the development of creativity and collaborative skills. This research is expected to be motivating in learning. This research is qualitative descriptive research using the methodology of literary study. Research results show that student creativity is significantly influenced by project-based learning. Project-based learning teaches students to think luwes, think creative, innovate, collaborative, evaluative, and communication skills.

Abstract

Sociocultural change is a complex phenomenon that has a significant impact on various aspects of human life, including the education system. This research aims to describe the impact of socio-cultural changes on education and identify the implications that arise in the context of modern education. This study uses a qualitative approach by analyzing relevant literature and empirical data to understand how changes in cultural values, norms, and social structures influence educational practices. Sociocultural changes have a complex and multi-dimensional impact on education. Changes in cultural values ​​can influence educational goals and curricula, while changes in social norms can influence the dynamics of teacher-student relationships and between students in the classroom. Additionally, changing social structures can create new challenges in achieving inclusivity and equality in education. The implications of these changes require adaptation of education systems to ensure that education remains relevant, inclusive, and empowers future generations.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of supervision carried out by madrasa heads for teachers and the need for appropriate strategies to support its success. The aim of this research is to find out what the madrasa head's supervision strategy is for teachers and what the supporting and inhibiting factors are. The type of research used is field research with a qualitative descriptive approach. The research subjects were the head of the madrasa, deputy head of the madrasa for academic affairs and teachers. Furthermore, data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation. Then data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions/verification. The research results show that the Head of MTsN 4 Tabalong develops and guides teachers, provides information to teachers, and also builds a working network with stakeholders to collaborate to improve teacher quality. The madrasa head explains the role and targets to the maximum, carries out monitoring well and continuously, provides good support, provides motivation and inspiration to teachers, makes efforts to solve problems and provides solutions to teachers as a whole, so it can be concluded that the madrasa head's supervision strategy for teachers has been implemented well. The supporting factors are the teacher's condition, strong desire, and cooperative stakeholders. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are time, social jealousy, and low willingness to move on the part of some teachers.

Abstract

The progress of a country is very dependent on the progress of its education (including Islamic education), and education is closely related to the use of approaches and methods used during the teaching and learning process. Approaches and methods should be mastered by a teacher in order to achieve the goals that have been set. The use of approaches and methods that are appropriate and appropriate to the subject matter as well as the existing situation and conditions will lead students to mastery of the expected lesson content. The importance of approaches and methods in education is so important that educators are required to be professional in developing these approaches and methods. Educators must know the advantages and disadvantages of each approach and method that will be used and determine the most appropriate choice so that students are more active and critical in the learning process. And the most important thing is that with this approach and method, students reach their desired goals.
