Abstract

Coastal communities are those who live and dwell in coastal areas, which are transitional areas marking the transition between land and sea. Most coastal communities live by managing coastal and marine resources, either directly or indirectly. Coastal communities have a strong, tough, and open social characteristic. They live as fishermen who depend on freely accessible resources, namely the sea. Dependence on the sea as the main resource for catching fish is influenced by irregular and high-risk climate.

Abstract

Community service activities are expected to provide understanding to the local area. The main focus of this action is educators and teachers at SDN Cibatu 02. Generally, they do not have enough understanding of child protection and law enforcement and have not received consultation or training on child protection laws. Therefore, sufficient knowledge is needed through legal counseling to address partner issues regarding efforts to prevent violence against students as legal protection based on the Child Protection Law. Legal consultation efforts aim to provide legal knowledge about child protection to students and teachers. Then continued by asking and answering questions, using learning activities and essay discussion methods at local schools and offering quizzes, pre-tests, and post-tests. The results of this activity are expected to demonstrate the importance of increasing awareness of child protection in improving teachers' legal knowledge and awareness as educators of their duties, rights, and obligations to the school in protecting their students.

Abstract

Jambi TV is a television station that plays a crucial role in broadcasting media in the Jambi Province, Indonesia. The general aspects of Jambi TV include various elements that influence its operations and its contribution in providing information, entertainment, and services to the people of Jambi. This writing will discuss several key aspects related to Jambi TV, including the station's profile, flagship programs, contribution to broadcasting news and information, as well as its social impact on the local community. This report will also address the trends and challenges faced by Jambi TV in the current era of Industry 5.0, as well as its strategic role in meeting the needs of the audience in the Jambi region. Through a deeper understanding of the general aspects of Jambi TV, we can appreciate its important role in regional broadcasting and its impact on the local community.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the social interaction of religious inmates in the class IIA Pematang Siantar penitentiary, and to find out about the religious life of the inmates in the institution. Qualitative methods were used to obtain data through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used data reduction techniques, data presentation, and conclusion drawing through source triangulation and technique triangulation. The results showed that the religious social interaction in the institution involved social activities, religious activities, religious studies, tolerance among religious communities, and mutual respect. The religious life of the inmates was also categorized as good, with positive interactions and good implementation of religious guidance. However, new inmates tend to have difficulty adapting to the regulations set by the prison officials, and even show resistance.

Abstract

Accidents often happen to individuals or groups of people. This can happen anywhere, anytime, and to anyone, including at school. In formal education, teaching first aid in accidents to children can be taught so that they have enough knowledge. Teaching this knowledge to children will improve the quality of society from an early age. The method used in this research is Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to summarize, assess, and analyze relevant studies to answer the research questions that have been set and to identify relevant literature, including studies related to the display of first aid in accidents at school. The aim of this research is to find strategies that help overcome problems and identify different perspectives related to the problem being studied and to reveal relevant theories with the case in this study that examines the importance of First Aid knowledge in School Accidents. Based on the results of this study, it is found that many factors cause accidents in schools such as bruises, injuries, wounds, fractures, etc. However, teachers lack understanding of first aid methods and techniques in school accidents even though this knowledge is important. In various schools, there are many ways to improve these skills and knowledge, including establishing a School Health Unit (UKS), educational counseling, and training on first aid for accidents at school. It can be concluded that in the delivery of material on first aid, teachers and students can actively participate and directly practice first aid for accidents at school. After conducting educational counseling and training for first aid in school accidents, the knowledge and skills possessed by teachers and students are increasing.

Abstract

The crime of human trafficking is a transnational crime. Human trafficking is generally carried out by violating human rights, such as in the form of cruel treatment and slavery-like practices. The issues in this research are how the law regulates the enforcement of illegal migrant workers abroad who are victims of human trafficking, how the implementation of law enforcement for illegal migrant workers abroad who are victims of human trafficking is carried out, and what are the obstacles and solutions for law enforcement for illegal migrant workers abroad who are victims of human trafficking by conducting a research study at the Nongsa Police Station in Batam City. Meanwhile, this research aims to determine the regulation of law enforcement for illegal migrant workers abroad who are victims of human trafficking, to understand how the implementation of law enforcement for illegal migrant workers abroad who are victims of human trafficking is carried out, and to identify the obstacles and solutions for law enforcement for illegal migrant workers abroad who are victims of human trafficking in the research study at the Nongsa Police Station in Batam City. This research uses a descriptive method with a normative approach (legal research) to obtain primary data through field research. The results of the study show that the enforcement of law for illegal migrant workers abroad who are victims of human trafficking in the research study at the Nongsa Police Station in Batam City has been carried out well, although there are still many challenges in the field, especially the lack of legal awareness among prospective migrant workers/Indonesian migrant workers, weak law enforcement, and inadequate supervision system for Indonesian migrant workers abroad. It is hoped that the Government (BP2TKI) or PPTKIS should not only provide education and training for competency and language, but also provide guidance and advocacy to increase legal awareness and legal protection for prospective migrant workers/Indonesian migrant workers.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the Cooperative Learning Model in Fostering Student Engagement in Social Studies Learning. This research uses qualitative descriptive research with literature study, which collects information and related scientific writings. This research also presents data without any manipulation and additional treatment. The main source of this research is previous scientific writings closely related to literature study, such as research method books, journal articles, internet articles, and other relevant writings. The results of the study show that the use of cooperative learning models is expected to improve the quality of education without making students bored and tired of the learning process, especially in increasing students' engagement with the material presented in class.

Abstract

Classic figures such as Adam Smith, David Ricardo, Thomas Robert Malthus, John Stuart Mill, and Jean Baptiste Say have put forward the basic concepts of understanding economics in the last century and in today's economy. Its application to the economic system includes Family Planning Programs, Entrepreneurship ideas, and the existence of free markets in international trade. The goal of this application is to fill job vacancies, improve the efficiency of economic activities, and maintain economic stability. However, in the application of these classic economic concepts, there are still some obstacles, one of which is food crises. Therefore, this article aims to provide an understanding of how the application and obstacles of classic economic theory are applied to today's economic system, so that classic economic theory can be adapted to address the obstacles in today's economic system.

Abstract

Indonesia is an area with thousands of islands scattered with different characteristics, resulting in a diverse range of ethnicities and cultures. The customs, culture, and traditions of the Indonesian people are always evolving with the times. Modernization aims to create a prosperous society and is a cause of social and cultural change. It is a process of transitioning from traditional to more advanced or modern ways of living. However, not all regions prioritize modernization and forget their traditions. This is evident in some areas of Indonesia that still preserve their customs and culture from outside influences and modernization. For example, the Baduy tribe in the Lebak Regency, Banten, which still maintains and preserves their original culture. The rapid development of modernization has also impacted the Baduy tribe, particularly the Outer Baduy community. The purpose of this writing is to explain the influence of modernization on the Outer Baduy tribe using the Literature Study Method.

Abstract

In today's digital era, social media has become an inseparable part of daily life, especially for the younger generation. Among the various social media platforms, Instagram has become one of the most popular, especially among Untirta students. This media is not only used as a place to share photos and videos, but also as a space for social interaction, self-expression, and the search for information. However, behind its diverse functions, there are deep questions about the extent of Instagram's influence in shaping the social reality of the Untirta student community. This research uses a phenomenological approach, which is a way of building understanding of the reality experienced by someone, and that understanding is built from the subjects who live their activities in their lives. The focus of the phenomenological approach is how the subject interprets their personal experiences related to certain phenomena, experiences that are not just ordinary experiences, but experiences related to the structure of individual consciousness both directly and indirectly. Based on the research results and discussions conducted by the researcher, categorized into fan identity on social media, the construction of female fan identity of F.C. Barcelona, and fanaticism of F.C. Barcelona fans show that as a female fan of F.C. Barcelona, the interviewee wants to be seen as someone who truly supports F.C. Barcelona.
