Abstract

Indonesia is known for its diverse culture and also has a large expanse of water territory. Most of Indonesia's territory consists of oceans and has great marine potential. This potential should be able to improve the welfare of the community, especially the fishermen who rely on this marine potential. However, the reality is that fishermen's lives are often plagued by poverty. Fishermen, especially laborers and traditional fishermen, are among the poorest groups in coastal areas. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research design. The research population is all fishermen in the coastal area of Pantai Labu, Palu Sibaji District. The research sample was taken using accidental sampling. Data was collected through interviews using prepared questionnaires. The research respondents totaled 30 people who work as fishermen. The findings of this research show that most fishermen still use traditional fishing gear and also make efforts to preserve the marine ecosystem, such as building fish houses and strongly prohibiting sea bombing.

Abstract

One of the factors that can affect a child's lack of confidence is an unsupportive environment. From the religious competition held in Lalang Village, it was apparent that some children lacked confidence when participating in religious competitions. Lack of skills can also be a cause of a child's lack of confidence. Therefore, motivation from parents and support from the environment are very important for the development of a child's confidence. Confidence is an attitude or belief in one's own abilities. One way to boost a child's confidence is through group guidance. Through group guidance activities, individuals can experience positive changes or effects. It is proven that students' confidence increases after participating in group guidance.

This research was conducted in traditional and modern markets in the city of Medan, especially in Jl. Jamin Ginting, North Sumatra. The aim of this research is to identify the types of medicinal products made from algae (microalgae or macroalgae) available in traditional/modern markets in the city of Medan. The sampling method used was cruise methods with Purposive Sampling Technique. The results of the research show three types of medicinal products in traditional and modern markets in the city of Medan that are made from algae, namely Ever E 250 (Seaweed Capsules), Algae Calcium (Red Algae), and Brown Seaweed. Some health benefits of red algae include maintaining thyroid function, lowering cholesterol, and being a healthy diet option. The benefits of brown algae include algin or alginate acid from brown algae used in making ice cream, pills, ointments, toothpaste, and lotion. Abstract

The production of shallots has been increasing among the community from year to year. The large amount of shallot skin waste can cause new problems that affect environmental pollution if not handled immediately. The purpose of this research is to provide knowledge about making liquid organic fertilizer from shallot skin waste. Compounds found in shallot skin contribute to soil fertility and have a positive impact on plants. The research methodology used is an experimental approach by applying a method of making liquid organic fertilizer from leftover shallot skin. The research findings show that leftover shallot skin can be used as liquid organic fertilizer that has many benefits in plant growth. In line with previous findings, chili plants can utilize liquid organic fertilizer made from shallot skin application to grow faster. In addition to chili plants, liquid organic fertilizer can also help the growth of okra, mustard greens, spinach, tomatoes, and ornamental plants.

Abstract

A material given to plants to increase nutrient availability is called fertilizer. This research project aims to find a solution to the environmental pollution problem caused by the accumulation of dry leaf litter. Compost is made using dry leaf litter waste as the main component and EM4 as an aid. EM4 is responsible for breaking down the organic material in the leaves. The finished dry leaf compost is odorless, in the form of loose granules, has a brittle and somewhat rough texture, and is dark brown in color. The research method used is literature research, or research derived from books and print journals accessible on Google Scholar. This type of research uses descriptive studies and several works of researchers with relevant fields of study. Data collected through inductive methods are then analyzed using one or more initial data sets. The obtained data is examined using a descriptive analytical approach. By transforming dry leaves into more useful and economically valuable compost, this research also aims to develop and enhance the creative abilities of the community and the local economy. Bright colors indicate composting that is too dry or moisture levels below 30%. One determining factor of compost maturity is its aroma. The compost fermentation process will produce various strong aromas.

Abstract

One of the most common places found is the beach. The beach is where the tide meets the land. Beaches are one of the rapidly growing tourist destinations and have strategic potential, such as the mangrove beach. The most common environmental problem is waste. High waste production will definitely have an impact on the environmental health involving communities and other living creatures. The purpose of this research is to understand the behavior of the community that causes environmental damage. This research uses a quantitative descriptive method where data is collected through questionnaires with simple random sampling techniques. The results show that coastal community behavior tends to be less favorable because it causes environmental damage at the mangrove beach. The conclusion of this research is that community behavior falls into the less favorable category, causing environmental damage at the mangrove beach. This is supported by the overall results, where the activities of the population (50%), natural resource conditions (80%), and mangrove conditions (53.3%) all fall into the less favorable category.

Abstract

The universe or universe aside from Allah SWTconsists of the firmament, sky, earth, stars, mountains and plains, rivers and valleys, plants, animals, humans, objects and their characteristics, as well as material and immaterial forms. He also said that some late Islamic scholars divide this world into four parts: spirit, matter, space, and time. Humans are one of the elements of the universe, a new creation with the mission to prosper the universe and continue its development, shows that for people who are involved in the world of education, its connection with the process of creating the universe is that people who already have the potential, Allah SWT, to develop this potential cannot be realized spontaneously, but must be realized through a long process and stages in all their nature, means and tools, tools to help people get as much information as possible. Islamic education is that the universe was created for humans as something special to fulfill the mandate of Allah SWT as the caliph who guides, maintains, guards and transforms this nature into a way of life by obtaining various things to create this character. Based on this, humans know the essence of what is the purpose of creating the universe for themselves, which in essence makes humans become loyal and pious servants of Allah SWT.
