Abstract

Road on Simpang Kumpulan–Simpang Taman section at Km. 102+100 in Agam Regency is one of the vital transportation routes in West Sumatra that frequently experiences disruptions due to landslides. This study aims to evaluate the stability of the existing slope at the location. The evaluation was carried out using two approaches: manual calculation using the Fellenius Method and numerical analysis using Plaxis 2D software. Research data were obtained from field soil testing (N-SPT) and the geometry of the existing slope. The analysis results indicate that the existing slope is in an unstable condition. The Factor of Safety (FS) of the existing slope using the manual Fellenius Method was 0.9, while the analysis using Plaxis 2D yielded 1.167. Both values are below the minimum requirement specified by SNI 8460:2017 (FS ≥ 1.5). This study also compares the results of manual calculations and numerical analysis, which show reasonably good agreement. The findings of this research are expected to provide recommendations regarding the safety level of slopes in landslide-prone areas and serve as a consideration for slope stabilization efforts in Agam Regency.

Abstract

Running speed is influenced by various physiological and biological factors, but empirical evidence regarding the role of simple genetic indicators such as blood type and age in young adults still shows mixed results. This study aims to analyze the relationship between blood type and age on running speed as an important component of physical performance. This study used a quantitative design with an observational analytical approach. The study subjects consisted of 129 respondents aged 20–32 years who were selected based on certain inclusion criteria. Blood type was determined through serological testing, while running speed was measured using a 60-meter dash test with a digital timer. Data analysis was performed using One-Way ANOVA and Kruskal–Wallis tests to examine differences in running speed based on blood type and age. The results showed that blood type had no significant relationship with running speed (p > 0.05), although there was variation in the mean between groups. Age also showed no significant relationship with running speed (p > 0.05), but there was a tendency for decreased performance in respondents aged over 30 years. These findings indicate that blood type and age in the young adult range are not dominant factors in determining running speed, so other factors such as training, physical condition, and lifestyle need to receive more attention in developing physical performance

Abstract

Maternal and infant mortality remain significant public health challenges in Indonesia. The tiered referral system is one strategy to reduce maternal and infant mortality. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the tiered referral system in efforts to reduce maternal and infant mortality cases in Sukabumi Regency. This qualitative research used an observational case study approach with 10 informants selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Analysis used SWOT (IFE and EFE matrices). The total IFE score was 2.142 (strengthdominated) and the total EFE score was 1.488. The main strength was the quality of health services (0.920), while the main weakness was the capability of health workers (0.222). The main opportunity was the availability of transportation equipment (0.465), and the main threat was the availability of SOP (0.291). The tiered referral system has not been implemented effectively. The government must be fully committed to improving maternal and child health by strengthening the referral system at all levels.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively analyze technology-based innovations in Social Studies learning through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The research employed an SLR design based on the PRISMA guidelines, involving the processes of identification, selection, and synthesis of scientific articles published between 2020 and 2025. Data sources were obtained from relevant SINTA-indexed journals and analyzed using qualitative content analysis techniques. The findings reveal that technology-based innovations in Social Studies learning encompass various approaches, including blended learning, project-based learning, and the use of interactive media, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and artificial intelligence. The results also indicate that technology has a positive impact on student engagement, digital literacy, and critical thinking skills. This study contributes theoretically by strengthening the integration of the TPACK framework in Social Studies learning and practically by providing recommendations for educators and policymakers in developing innovative and adaptive technology-based learning. The limitation of this study lies in the SLR approach, which depends on the quality of the literature analyzed. Future research is recommended to examine the empirical implementation of technology in Social Studies learning through qualitative or mixed methods approaches.

Abstract

This article comprehensively examines educational evaluation and language testing as strategic instruments for improving the quality of Arabic language learning in the global era. Through a systematic literature review of recent research from 2021 to 2026, this article identifies various evaluation models, testing techniques, and implementation challenges faced by language education institutions at national and international levels. The findings indicate that effective evaluation does not merely function as a tool for measuring students' abilities, but also as a feedback mechanism that promotes continuous improvement in the learning process. The integration of digital technology in language testing systems, the application of authentic assessment, and the development of educators' evaluative competencies are key factors in modernizing Arabic language education. This article also offers strategic recommendations for policy makers, institutional administrators, and educators in designing quality, inclusive, and globally responsive evaluation systems

Abstract

Caffeine is an ergogenic substance often used in sports to improve physical performance, particularly in cardiorespiratory endurance. This study aims to analyze the ergogenic effects of caffeine on athlete performance as measured by VO₂max capacity. The study used an observational design with a prospective study approach on 25 athletes. Data collection techniques were carried out through direct measurements of the research subjects. Data on athlete characteristics were collected by recording basic identity and initial physical condition, while VO₂max data were obtained through fitness tests using standard measurement procedures before and after caffeine administration. The intervention in the form of caffeine administration was carried out before physical activity according to a predetermined dose, then the athletes underwent VO₂max measurements after treatment. Data analysis used the Shapiro-Wilk normality test and paired t-test. The results showed that the average VO₂max increased from 41.02 ± 5.89 ml/kg/min to 44.85 ± 5.96 ml/kg/min with a significance value of p < 0.001. These findings demonstrate a significant effect of caffeine administration on improving athletes' cardiorespiratory endurance. Physiologically, caffeine works through adenosine receptor antagonism, increased fatty acid mobilization, and central nervous system stimulation, which contribute to delayed fatigue. Recent literature also supports that moderate caffeine consumption (3–6 mg/kgBW) effectively improves endurance performance. The conclusion of this study confirms that caffeine has a significant ergogenic effect in improving athlete performance, particularly on cardiorespiratory endurance components

Abstract

The expansion of digital gaming has transformed mobile games into psychological and economic spaces that shape players’ emotions and consumption behavior. Otome games, characterized by romantic narratives and intense emotional interaction, exemplify this shift. This study investigates the relationship between fanaticism and consumptive behavior among players of the otome game Love and Deepspace. Using a quantitative correlational design, data were collected from 100 active players with a minimum of one year of gameplay experience. Instrument validity was assessed through expert judgment and statistical testing, while reliability was confirmed using Cronbach’s Alpha. Due to non-normal data distribution, Spearman’s rho correlation was employed for analysis. The results reveal a positive and significant relationship between fanaticism and consumptive behavior (ρ = 0.583, p < 0.001), indicating a moderate correlation. These findings suggest that emotional attachment, immersive gameplay, and romantic interactions with virtual characters encourage players to engage in in-game spending. This study provides empirical evidence that emotional fanaticism toward virtual characters acts as a pivotal catalyst for repetitive in-game spending. It highlights how the character-centered narrative architecture of otome games effectively reconfigures digital consumption behavior among players

Abstract

The delivery of healthcare services in Regional General Hospitals (RSUD) across Sumatera Utara Province faces significant challenges due to dynamic population growth. This study aims to analyze the relationship between nurse workload and service quality within these hospital environments. The methodology employed is a quantitative analysis based on secondary data from the 2025–2026 regional statistical reports and empirical literature reviews of various hospitals in Sumatera Utara. Research findings indicate a significant negative correlation between excessive workload and the quality of nursing care (p = 0.000). The nurse ratio in Sumatera Utara (144.35 per 100,000 population) remains below the national target of 158 per 100,000, triggering physical and mental fatigue (burnout). Decreased concentration due to administrative and temporal burdens increases the risk of Adverse Events (KTD) . The conclusion of this study emphasizes the necessity of accelerating medical record digitalization and workforce redistribution using the WISN method to maintain minimum service standards and patient safety.
