Abstract

This study’s goals were to determine the impact of teaching kids certain fundamental football skills through play and how it interacted with cooperative and reciprocal exercise approaches. Additionally, to determine which of the two approaches is more effective in teaching pupils fundamental football skills. The research community and sample were represented by the first-stage students in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Babylon for the academic year 2022-2023, numbering (128 students), because these skills selected for education are within the vocabulary of the educational curriculum prescribed for this stage. We chose a sample of (22 students), as (11) students were selected for each group, and those who failed, practiced football, and were not regular in attendance were excluded, as well as what the nature of the research requires in order to simulate the independent variable (playing style). The two experimental groups were determined by (11) students in each group. The first experimental group used the play method with the interaction of the cooperative exercise method, while the second experimental group used the play method with the interaction of the reciprocal exercise method. We used the experimental method for equivalent groups. After processing the data statistically by using the (t) test for the corresponding groups in the skill tests, and the (t) test for independent samples between the two groups. We concluded that the group of the play style combined with cooperative training was more developed than the second experimental group in the skills of passing, put down and rolling. We recommend the necessity of adopting the play style and cooperative training in learning the skills of passing, put down and rolling.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategic management of SMPIT (Integrated Islamic Junior High School) An Nahl Percikan Iman Jambi in building relationships with the community, using the Nine-Step Strategic Planning theory and Gitney’s Hierarchy of Needs. This qualitative research employs a phenomenological approach, with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that SMPIT An Nahl Percikan Iman implements a series of well-planned and directed strategic management efforts to strengthen relationships with the community, including: (1) fostering connections through social service activities, (2) collaborating with educational institutions, and (3) actively engaging parents in school activities. A key strength of the communication efforts at SMPIT An Nahl Percikan Iman lies in the involvement of middle-class parents, who actively support the school’s programs. The school’s public relations initiatives are also supported by: (1) the utilization of social media, (2) participation in special events, and (3) backing from the Integrated Islamic Schools Network (JSIT). In the Islamic educational institution management context, these efforts demonstrate a comprehensive strategic approach, involving in-depth analysis of internal and external conditions, reinforcing an Islamic values-based curriculum, and collaborating with the community, government, and parents. Supporting factors include strong leadership, social acceptance, and adequate infrastructure, while challenges encompass perceptions of high education costs and social dynamics. This strategy reflects a modern, adaptive, and values-based approach to Islamic education.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of drug availability, service quality, and brand image on consumer purchase intention at Wahana Medika Pharmacy. Employing a quantitative descriptive method with an explanatory approach, the research involved 295 respondents selected using non-probability sampling. Data was collected via a Likert scale questionnaire distributed through Google Forms and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results reveal a positive and significant influence of all three independent variables on purchase intention (R² = 0.657). Drug availability (coefficient 0.407), service quality (0.339), and brand image (0.419) individually contribute to increased purchase intention, with brand image exhibiting the strongest effect. The regression model explains 65.7% of the variation in purchase intention, with the remaining variance attributable to factors outside the model. The study concludes that adequate drug availability, excellent service quality, and a strong positive brand image are crucial factors driving consumer purchase intention at pharmacies. Wahana Medika Pharmacy is advised to maintain drug availability, enhance service quality through staff training, and strengthen its brand image through digital marketing strategies and customer loyalty programs. Future research could incorporate additional variables such as price and customer loyalty for a more comprehensive understanding.

Abstract

This study examines law enforcement practices and their effectiveness in addressing illegal gold mining in Jambi Province, with additional analysis from the perspective of Fiqh Jinayah (Islamic criminal law). Employing an empirical juridical approach, the research was conducted in Sarolangun, Merangin, and Bungo Regencies. Informants included police officials from each region and individuals involved in illegal gold mining. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis, and analyzed via data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. Findings reveal that law enforcement efforts begin with public education on environmental protection and the legal consequences of illegal mining. However, these efforts remain largely ineffective due to legal, structural, and socio-economic challenges. Contributing factors include the misalignment between laws and local realities, vague legal formulations, limited outreach, inadequate sanctions, and resource constraints faced by authorities. From the perspective of Fiqh Jinayah, illegal gold mining is categorized under Jarimah Ta’zir, allowing judge’s discretion in sentencing. Punishments can include imprisonment, fines, corporal penalties, or warnings, guided by principles of justice for both society and offenders. The study suggests that integrating Fiqh Jinayah may offer a culturally relevant alternative to enhance the deterrent effect and improve the overall effectiveness of law enforcement in this context.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse teacher resource management in improving the quality of graduates of Islamic boarding schools in Riau Province. This study reveals that effective teacher management is a key factor in producing quality graduates. The results showed that the boarding school leaders have carried out various managerial strategies, such as improving teachers’ welfare, providing fair compensation, continuous professional development, creating a supportive work environment, and conducting regular performance evaluations. In addition, collaboration with the government, community institutions, and the private sector is also carried out to support optimal human resource management. The quality of graduates of Islamic boarding schools in Riau Province is characterized by a deep understanding of the Qur’an and Hadith, mastery of religious and general knowledge, and basic skills coupled with noble character. The dual curriculum approach that combines religious and general education, supported by a mastery learning-based learning system and periodic evaluation, has proven to be able to produce graduates who are not only academically proficient, but also have strong character and readiness to face global challenges. This finding emphasizes the important role of teacher resource management in creating a holistic and highly competitive boarding schools’ education.

Abstract

This study examined and analyzed community compensation from the perspective of maslahah (public benefit) by reviewing Regent Regulation No. 62 of 2013 regarding the construction of the Jambi-Rengat toll road in Batanghari Regency, Jambi Province. The selection of this regulation serves as the basis for determining the fundamental value of community compensation for land acquisition, which constitutes the primary object of this dissertation. This study employs a qualitative research design, adopting a sociological approach that integrates positive legal and religious perspectives. The methodology is based on field observations and a literature review, providing a comprehensive analysis of the legal provisions in force and their impact on society. This approach is developed and applied to analyze justice and fairness in the implementation of laws within the community. The findings indicate that Regent Regulation No. 62 of 2013 is no longer suitable for determining the base price of community compensation for land acquisition, particularly in the construction of the Jambi-Rengat toll road in Batanghari Regency. The issue lies in the discrepancy between the regulated compensation values and the actual market prices, which have significantly evolved over time. Although the local government has introduced a revised regulation, Regent Regulation No. 52 of 2021, the delay in its issuance rendered it ineffective, as compensation agreements between the community and toll road developers had already been settled. As the policy-making authority, the government must ensure that its regulations align with principles of justice and public welfare, rather than merely focusing on administrative convenience and national economic benefits. Consideration should be given to protecting the rights and well-being of affected communities.
