Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how the effect of the TMR model assisted by flipbook and liveworksheets LKPD liveworksheets on student learning outcomes at SMA Negeri 2 Waingapu. Student learning outcomes are low because the teacher has never tried to vary never tried to vary other learning models and media used during the learning process used during the learning process. This research is a quantitative research with an experimental approach and random sampling. Samples used in this study were used in this study were class XI IPA 1 as the experimental class, totaling 33 people and class XI IPA 3 as the control class, totaling 33 people. Which amounted to 33 people and class XI IPA 3 as a control class which amounted to 67 people. 34 total sample size of 67 people. The results of the research average pretest score the control class was 49.09 and the average posttest score was 66.66. While for the experimental class the average pretest score was 59.11 and the average posttest score was 72.35. posttest score is 72.35. With an asym sig (2-tailed) value of 0.001 <0.05, the hypothesis test shows that the TMR learning model that is used in the experimental class is more effective than the control class. Hypothesis test shows that the TMR learning model assisted by the flipbook and LKPD liveworkshseets have an effect on student learning outcomes students. Abstrak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi bagaimana model TMR yang dibantu oleh mdeia flipbook dan LKPD liveworkhseets berpengaruh pada hasil belajar siswa di SMA Negeri 2 Waingapu. Hal ini disebabkan karena guru tidak pernah mencoba memvariasikan model pembelajaran lain serta media, yang berdampak pada hasil belajar siswa yang rendah. Penelitian ini merupakan kuantitatif dengan pendekatan eksperimen dan pengambilan sampel secara acak. Kelas XI IPA 1 dan XI IPA 3 berfungsi sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Hasil menunjukkan nilai pretest dan postest untuk kelas eksperimen 59,11 dan 72,35, sementara nilai kelas kontrol 49,09 dan 66,66. Dengan nilai asym sig. (2-tailed) 0,001<0,05, uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran TMR yang dibantu flipbook dan loveworkhseets LKPD memengaruhi hasil belajar.

Abstract

This study aims to identify students' misconceptions on growth and development in animals and humans using the Three-Tier Multiple Choice instrument. This research uses a literature study approach with descriptive qualitative research methods. The results showed that the percentage of students' correct answers varied from 35% to 60%, with misconceptions ranging from 15% to 20%. Factors causing misconceptions included a lack of basic understanding, ineffective delivery of material, and environmental and cultural influences. To overcome these misconceptions, a more interactive learning approach that emphasizes in-depth understanding of concepts is needed. Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi siswa pada materi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan pada hewan dan manusia dengan menggunakan instrumen Three-Tier Multiple Choice. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan studi literatur dengan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persentase jawaban benar siswa bervariasi antara 35% hingga 60%, dengan miskonsepsi berkisar antara 15% hingga 20%. Faktor-faktor penyebab miskonsepsi termasuk kurangnya pemahaman dasar, penyampaian materi yang kurang efektif, dan pengaruh lingkungan dan budaya. Untuk mengatasi miskonsepsi ini, diperlukan pendekatan pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif dan menekankan pada pemahaman konsep secara mendalam.

Abstract

The development of the mangrove forest ecology story book was motivated by the critical nature of the mangrove forest ecosystem in Indonesia. Mangrove forests have great benefits both ecologically and economically. If the population of mangrove forests becomes smaller and smaller, it will have negative impacts on living creatures and the environment. Storybooks are the right media to increase children's understanding of the importance of protecting mangrove forests. Therefore, this research aims to develop learning media in the form of story books to foster the character of loving the environment in elementary school students about the importance of preserving and protecting mangrove forests. This research is development research (R&D) with a 4D model (define, design, development, and disseminate). Based on the results of interviews with teachers at SD Negeri 3 Teluk Pandan, information was obtained that the school had never used storybooks in the learning process. From this problem, a story book was then developed to provide a broader understanding of natural science for elementary school students. The storybook development was made using the Procreate application version 5.3.7. The mangrove ecology story book succeeded in getting "very decent" validation from material expert validators with a percentage of 87.5% and from media expert validators with a percentage of 93.75%. The test results of this product also showed a "very good" qualification according to teacher responses of 92.5% and student responses of 93.3%. These findings lead to the conclusion that the created storybook satisfies the requirements to be a useful substitute teaching tool in primary schools.The contribution to the development of this storybook can be used as a fun learning medium, providing elementary school students with an understanding of the management and preservation of mangrove forests. Abstrak. Pengembangan buku cerita ekologi hutan mangrove dilatar belakangi oleh kritisnya ekosistem hutan mangrove di Indonesia. Hutan mangrove mempunyai manfaat besar baik secara ekologi maupun ekonomi, bila hutan mangrove semakin lama semakin sedikit jumlah populasinya, maka akan mengakibatkan dampak negatif bagi makhluk hidup dan lingkungan. Buku cerita merupakan media yang tepat untuk meningkatkan pemahaman anak tentang pentingnya menjaga hutan mangrove. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menciptakan sumber belajar dalam bentuk buku bergambar yang akan mengajarkan anak-anak sekolah dasar tentang nilai-nilai melestarikan dan menjaga hutan mangrove serta membantu mereka memperoleh apresiasi terhadap lingkungan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (R&D) dengan menggunakan model 4D (define, design, development, dan desiminate),. Selama wawancara dengan guru di SD Negeri 3 Teluk Pandan, diketahui bahwa buku cerita belum pernah digunakan di kelas. Dari permasalahan ini, kemudian di kembangkan buku cerita untuk memberikan pemahaman lebih luas mengenai ilmu pengetahuan alam untuk siswa sekolah dasar. Pengembangan buku cerita dibuat dengan menggunakan aplikasi procreate versi 5.3.7. Buku cerita ekologi mangrove berhasil mendapatkan validasi "sangat layak" dari validator ahli materi dengan presentase 87,5% dan dari validator ahli media dengan presentase 93,75%. Hasil uji coba produk ini juga menunjukkan kualifikasi "sangat baik" menurut respon guru sebesar 92,5% dan respon siswa sebesar 93,3%. Kesimpulan dari hasil tersebut adalah bahwa buku cerita yang telah dikembangkan memenuhi standar untuk menjadi media pembelajaran alternatif yang efektif di sekolah dasar. Kontribusi pengembangan buku cerita ini dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran yang menyenangkan, memberikan pemahaman kepada siswa sekolah dasar dalam pengelolaan dan pelestarian hutan mangrove.

Abstract

Socioscientific issues in biotechnology are an educational context that can be implemented in the classroom. Teaching socioscientific issues in biotechnology can develop students' argumentation and critical thinking skills. Examples of socioscientific issues in biotechnology include the production of insulin from animal (pig) pancreases, cloning, and genetically modified organisms (GMOs). One way to teach socioscientific issues in biotechnology is through the debate method. This study employs a systematic review method to examine the implementation of the debate method on socioscientific issues in biotechnology. Technological innovations in teaching that can be utilized include the Padlet platform for visualizing ideas and debate concepts and Voice Typing technology to support the learning process through the debate method. The review results indicate that implementing the debate method on socioscientific issues in biotechnology with the assistance of Padlet and Voice Typing technology can be a technological innovation in teaching methods. Abstrak. Isu sosiosaintifik pada materi bioteknologi merupakan salah satu konteks pembelajaran yang dapat diimplementasikan di dalam kelas. Pembelajaran yang mengangkat isu sosiosaintifik pada materi bioteknologi dapat mengembangkan keterampilan literasi sains pada siswa. Beberapa contoh isu sosiosaintifik pada materi bioteknologi adalah isu produksi insulin dari pankreas hewan (babi), kloning, dan tanaman transgenik atau genetically modified organism (GMO). Salah satu cara membelajarkan isu sosiosaintifik pada materi bioteknologi adalah menggunakan metode debat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode systematic review yang mengkaji implementasi metode debat pada isu sosiosaintifik materi bioteknologi. Adapun inovasi pembelajaran berbasis teknologi yang dapat digunakan adalah platform Padlet sebagai media visualisasi ide dan gagasan debat, serta teknologi Voice Typing untuk mendukung proses pembelajaran dengan metode debat. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode debat yang dibantu platform Padlet dan teknologi Voice Typing dapat menjadi salah satu inovasi metode pembelajaran berbasis teknologi untuk mengajarkan isu sosiosaintifik materi bioteknologi.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are essential for students, particularly in biology learning, as the material requires more in-depth thinking. The purpose of this research is to investigate the impact of game-based learning on the critical thinking skills of class XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Tasikmalaya. The research method used is a quasi-experiment with a non-equivalent control group design. The population in this study includes all class XI students learning biology. The sample was taken using purposive sampling, resulting in class XI-4 as the control group and XI-10 as the experimental group, with a total of 82 students. The instrument used in this study is a critical thinking skills test question that has been validated by experts in both construct and empirical aspects and analyzed using the Anates application with a validity value greater than 0.5 and a reliability value of 0.76, which falls within the range of 0.60 < r < 0.80, indicating that this instrument has a high level of reliability. The data analysis technique used is the ANCOVA hypothesis test with a critical thinking skills significance value of 0.07, meaning that the significance value is less than 0.05, and with a confidence level of 95%, it can be concluded that game-based learning simultaneously affects critical thinking skills of class XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Tasikmalaya in the 2023/2024 academic year. Abstrak. Keterampilan berpikir kritis penting dimiliki oleh peserta didik terutama dalam pembelajaran biologi karena materi yang dipelajari memerlukan pemikiran yang lebih. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh game based learning dalam pembelajaran biologi terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Tasikmalaya. Metode yang digunakan adalah quasi experiment dengan desain penelitian the non-equivalet control group design. Populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu seluruh peserta didik kelas XI yang mempelajari mata pelajaran biologi. Sampel yang diambil dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling dengan hasil kelas XI-4 sebagai kelas kontrol dan XI-10 sebagai kelas eksperimen sehingga jumlah sampel adalah sebanyak 82 orang peserta didik. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berupa soal tes uraian keterampilan berpikir kritis yang sudah divalidasi secara konstruk oleh ahli instrumen dan empiris oleh ahli pembelajaran sistem koordinasi serta telah dianalisis menggunakan bantuan aplikasi Anates dengan nilai validitas > 0,5 dan nilai reliabilitas sebesar 0,76 yang berada pada rentang 0,60 < r < 0,80 sehingga dapat dikategorikan instrumen ini memiliki tingkat reliabilitas yang tinggi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji hipotesis ANCOVA dengan nilai signifikansi keterampilan berpikir kritis sebesar 0,07 artinya nilai signifikansi < 0,05 sehingga dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95% dapat disimpulkan bahwa secara simultan game based learning berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Tasikmalaya tahun ajaran 2023/2024.

Abstract

Project-based Learning is a learning model that has been proven to be effective in fostering students' active involvement in learning and developing abilities and skills. This research aims to determine the improvement in science process skills of class X students at SMA Negeri 1 Langsa through applying PjBL in biology learning. This research uses a pre-experimental approach, with a one-group pretest-posttest design involving 35 students. Data collection instruments include pretest-posttest questions and observation sheets to assess students' science process skills. Pretest-posttest data analysis was carried out using the N-gain test. In contrast, the assessment of science process skills data was analysed based on the percentage of achievement of each indicator. Research findings show a significant increase in students' science process skills, with an N-gain score of 0.76, which is in the high category. In particular, students showed excellent skills in the indicators of observing (87%), classifying (84%), formulating hypotheses (88%), conducting experiments (95%) and communicating (94%). This research provides convincing conclusions and evidence that applying PjBL in biology learning positively impacts the science process skills of class X students at SMA Negeri 1 Langsa. Abstrak. Project Based Learning  merupakan model pembelajaran yang terbukti efektif dalam menumbuhkan keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam belajar dan mampu dalam mengembangkan kemampuan dan keterampilan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa kelas X di SMA Negeri 1 Langsa melalui penerapan PjBL dalam pembelajaran biologi. Penelitian ini menggunakan Pendekatan dengan metode pre-eksperimental, dengan design one group pretest-posttest design dengan melibatkan 35 siswa. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa soal pretest-posttest dan lembar observasi untuk menilai keterampilan proses sains siswa. Analisis data pretest-posttest dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji N-gain, sedangkan penilaian data keterampilan proses sains dianalisis berdasarkan persentase ketercapaian setiap indikator. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan adanya hasil peningkatan yang signifikan pada keterampilan proses sains siswa, dengan skor  N-gain sebesar  0,76 termasuk dalam kategori tinggi. Secara khusus, siswa menunjukkan keterampilan yang sangat  baik pada indikator  mengamati (87%), mengklasifikasikan (84%), merumuskan hipotesis (88%), melakukan eksperimen (95%) dan mengkomunikasikan (94%). penelitian ini memberikan kesimpulan dan bukti yang meyakinkan bahwa penerapan PjBL dalam pembelajaran biologi memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan keterampilan proses sains siswa kelas X di SMA Negeri 1 Langsa.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the quality of the Presseisen taxonomy decision-making test instrument and students' abilities using Rasch analysis. This research method is descriptive with a quantitative approach. The results showed item validity (item fit) and 12 valid questions. The question's difficulty level (item measure) shows that three questions are very difficult, three are complex, four are easy, and two are straightforward. Reliability shows that the Cronbach alpha value is excellent (0.89), the person reliability value is good (0.85), the item reliability value is excellent (0.98)—the person separation value is 2.41, and the item separation value is 6.85. The individual ability level shows a high category of 124 people, a medium of 49 people, and a low of 190 people. The level of individual suitability shows the fit criteria totalling 237 people, misfit 12 people, and outliers 114 people. Based on the analysis results, it can be concluded that the questions are valid and suitable for use. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas instrumen tes pengambilan keputusan taksonomi Presseisen dan abilitas peserta didik menggunakan analisis rasch. Metode penelitian ini deskriptif dengan pedekatan kuatitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Validitas item (item fit) menunjukkan 12 soal valid. Tingkat kesulitan soal (item measure) menunjukkan 3 soal sangat sulit, 3 soal sulit, 4 soal mudah, dan 2 soal sangat mudah. Reliabilitas menunjukkan nilai alpha cronbach bagus sekali (0.89), nilai person reliability bagus (0.85), dan nilai item reliability istimewa (0.98). nilai person separation 2.41 dan nilai item separation 6.85. Tingkat abilitas individu menunjukkan kategori tinggi berjumlah 124 orang, sedang 49 orang, dan rendah 190 orang. Tingkat kesesuaian individu menunjukkan kriteria fit berjumlah 237 orang, misfit 12 orang, dan outlier 114 orang. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, dapat disimpulkan bahwa soal dinyatakan valid dan layak untuk digunakan.

Abstract

This research aims to determine whether implementing the independent curriculum can improve the learning outcomes of MAN 2 Langsa students. To find out how implementing the independent curriculum improves the learning outcomes of MAN 2 Langsa students. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive, using interviews, observation, and documentation instruments. The sample in this study consisted of two biology teachers who taught in class X and eight students in class X at MAN 2 Langsa, who were divided into two classes. The research results show that implementing the Merdeka Curriculum in Improving Student Learning Outcomes at MAN 2 Langsa can improve student learning outcomes significantly, namely increasing by 100% from class XB, and student learning outcomes from class XE also increased significantly by 95.6 %. Implementing the Independent Curriculum in Improving MAN 2 Langsa Student Learning Outcomes is carried out by planning learning based on the independent curriculum; the teacher has prepared a Flow of Learning Objectives (ATP) and teaching modules. The implementation of the independent curriculum in the results of this research has two answers namely where the answers from students are that they are ready with the independent curriculum with P5 activities, they are happy to take part in these activities and according to them, apart from the lessons they like, they can improve their learning outcomes, P5 activities can also improve their learning outcomes. Meanwhile, the teacher stated that the independent curriculum had been implemented well, but there were still weaknesses. The weakness is that the school still lacks the facilities and infrastructure to implement the independent curriculum at MAN 2 Langsa. Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah implementasi kurikulum merdeka dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa MAN 2 Langsa. Untuk mengetahui bagaimana implementasi kurikulum merdeka dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa MAN 2 Langsa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan instrumen wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 2 guru biologi yang mengajar di kelas X dan 8 siswa kelas X MAN 2 Langsa yang terbagi menjadi 2 kelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka dalam Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa MAN 2 Langsa dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa secara signifikan yaitu meningkat sebesar 100% dari kelas XB dan hasil belajar siswa dari kelas XE juga mengalami peningkatan secara signifikan sebesar 95,6 %. Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka dalam Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa MAN 2 Langsa dilakukan dengan perencanaan pembelajaran berdasarkan kurikulum merdeka guru sudah menyiapkan Alur Tujuan Pembelajaran (ATP) dan modul ajar. Implementasi kurikulum merdeka dalam hasil penelitian ini memiliki dua jawaban yaitu dimana jawaban dari siswa bahwa mereka sudah siap dengan adanya kurikulum merdeka dengan kegiatan P5 mereka dengan senang mengikuti kegiatan tersebut dan menurut mereka selain pelajaran yang mereka sukai dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar mereka, kegiatan P5 juga dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar mereka. Sementara itu, guru menyatakan bahwa implementasi kurikulum merdeka ini sudah terlaksanakan dengan baik namun masih terdapat kelemahan. Kelemahannya yaitu pada implementasi kurikulum merdeka di MAN 2 Langsa masih kurangnya sarana dan prasarana di sekolah.

Abstract

The pandemic has changed many aspects in all areas of life, especially in the world of education. Learning during this pandemic makes the learning and teaching process online (in the network). This requires a learning innovation with an online contextual approach. One of the innovations is the contextual learning approach through the google site, which is expected that students can relate concepts about climate change to real life, even though learning is carried out online. One example of material that must be explained in accordance with real conditions in the surrounding environment is climate change material. Students are required to be able to solve problems and find understanding and ideas from what is learned and then construct their knowledge. The research method used is experimental with pre-experimental design and the type of research is one group pretest-posttest. The subjects in this study were class IX SMP in Bandung City for the even semester of the 2020/2021 academic year, because each class in the school has the same characteristics, therefore the sample was taken by simple random sampling. The test instrument selected was a description test, totaling 12 questions to measure students' critical thinking skills. This description test is given to students before and after learning activities. The test instrument was tested first to students who had studied the material on climate change. After the trial, instrument analysis was carried out which aims to determine the feasibility of the research instrument. The analysis used is validity test and reliability test. Abstrak. Pandemi telah mengubah banyak aspek di segala bidang kehidupan, terutama di dunia pendidikan. Pembelajaran di masa pandemi ini menjadikan proses belajar mengajar secara online (dalam jaringan). Untuk itu diperlukan suatu inovasi pembelajaran dengan pendekatan kontekstual secara online. Salah satu inovasinya adalah pendekatan pembelajaran kontekstual melalui situs google, yang diharapkan siswa dapat menghubungkan konsep-konsep tentang perubahan iklim dengan kehidupan nyata, meskipun pembelajaran dilakukan secara online. Salah satu contoh materi yang harus dijelaskan sesuai dengan kondisi nyata di lingkungan sekitar adalah materi perubahan iklim. Siswa dituntut untuk mampu memecahkan masalah dan menemukan pemahaman dan gagasan dari apa yang dipelajari kemudian mengkonstruksi pengetahuannya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan desain pre-experimental design dan jenis penelitiannya adalah one group pretest-posttest. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX SMP di Kota Bandung semester genap tahun ajaran 2020/2021, karena setiap kelas di sekolah tersebut memiliki karakteristik yang sama, maka dari itu sampel diambil secara simple random sampling. Instrumen tes yang dipilih adalah tes deskripsi yang berjumlah 12 soal untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Tes deskripsi ini diberikan kepada siswa sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan pembelajaran. Instrumen tes diujicobakan terlebih dahulu kepada siswa yang telah mempelajari materi tentang perubahan iklim. Setelah uji coba, dilakukan analisis instrumen yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan instrumen penelitian. Analisis yang digunakan adalah uji validitas dan uji reliabilitas.
