Abstract

Menopause is a natural phase experienced by every woman, marked by the cessation of menstruation and significant hormonal changes. The perimenopausal process can affect both physical and psychological conditions, often causing symptoms such as hot flashes, sleep disturbances, and feelings of anxiety. In Mantang Village, Batukliang District, this community service program aims to provide holistic support for women aged 40-55 who are experiencing perimenopause. A participatory approach is used to actively involve the community in education about physical and psychological changes, as well as symptom management. Activities include group education, individual counseling, and workshops on symptom management using relaxation techniques and healthy eating habits. A total of 26 participants took part in this program, and evaluations through pretests, posttests, and in-depth interviews showed a significant improvement in participants' understanding of perimenopause and their ability to manage symptoms. The educational calendar provided was also proven effective as a daily reminder tool. These results indicate that structured interventions can improve the quality of life for perimenopausal women and provide essential emotional support in navigating this transition.

Abstract

The Real Work Lecture (KKN) students have successfully implemented the Desa Aek Siansimun, Kec. Tarutung, Kab. Tapanuli Utara, North Sumatra. Despite a number of challenges, successful outcomes have been made possible by effective community and student participation. Cleaning the environment, solving trash issues, and raising awareness of the value of cleanliness are all part of this cooperative activity. Students and inhabitants of Aek Siansimun, Tarutung District, North Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra, develop a familial bond through this program in addition to its tangible effects. The success of this program depends on the active participation of the community. This curriculum for mutual cooperation helps students learn how to be socially and leadership-savvy. It is hoped that the program's success would serve as a motivational model for KKN's upcoming events and that it will continue to benefit the environment and society.

Abstract

Early childhood education plays an important role in building the foundation of a child's character and potential. Ethnoparenting, which combines cultural values, is an effective approach to achieving this goal. This socialization aims to increase parents' understanding of the concept of ethnoparenting and its application in educating young children. Through this activity, it is hoped that parents can understand local cultural values that can be integrated into the childcare process, as well as improve the quality of childcare at TK Islam Qonita. This socialization was carried out through several stages, namely the preparation stage, implementation stage and evaluation stage. The results of the ethnoparenting socialization activities at the TK Islam Qonita have succeeded in increasing parents' understanding of the concept of ethnoparenting and its application in educating young children. This activity also succeeded in improving the quality of care at TK Islam Qonita through the integration of local cultural values in the learning and care process for children.

Abstract

Local wisdom has great potential as a source of relevant and contextualized history learning for students. Historical materials do not have to be limited to textbooks, but can be obtained from the surrounding environment which is rich in local historical values. However, the enrichment of historical materials in schools, especially in public high schools, is still relatively minimal. This community service activity (PKM) aims to increase the knowledge of students and teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Galing through the integration of local wisdom as additional material in history learning. The PKM implementation method includes five stages: (1) location observation to understand the condition of the school and the number of participants, (2) confirmation with the school for scheduling activities, (3) implementation of material socialization by the team according to scientific fields, (4) evaluation through direct and indirect guidance related to the application of teaching materials, and (5) closing activities. The results of this activity showed an increase in students' and teachers' understanding of local history, and contributed to the enrichment of history subject matter in schools. Thus, local wisdom not only enriches learning materials but also strengthens students' cultural identity.

Abstract

Embacang Baru Ilir Village has potential land for yam, also known as purple yam or the Latin name Ipomea batatas, which can be processed into a high-value product, namely flour. Ipomea batatas flour has nutritional content and benefits, such as being useful for diabetes sufferers because it is free of gluten, osteoporosis, prevents high blood pressure and is easy to produce. Apart from that, it is hoped that the processing of Ipomoea batatas flour can increase the productivity of the people of Embacang Baru Ilir village, thereby improving their economy. Methods in activities, namely: observation, socialization, training and continued direct practice in making Ipomea batatas flour, as well as providing assistance in production and business management. The results of the activity showed that there was an increase in community skills through observations in terms of material selection, manufacturing processes and product results, namely from 25% (initial skill value) to 95% (final skill value). It was concluded that this activity was beneficial for the people of Embacang Baru village in processing the abundant local potential in their area into products that have marketable value and are useful in the future

Abstract

Dari hasil nilai rata-rata siswa yang semula 53 dan setelah diberlakukan Media Audio Visual naik menjadi 82. Hasil perhitungan dengan tes diperoleh thitung sebesar 19,040 yang kemudian dibandingkan dengan ttabel sebesar 1,797 dengan df=29 dan taraf signifikan 0,05. Jika thitung > ttebel maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima, dan jika thitung > ttabel maka Ho diterima dan Ha ditolak. Berdasarkan data ternyata thitung > ttabel(19,040 > 1,797) pada perhitungan uji beda mean hasil belajar dengan menggunakan test. Dengan demikian dapat dinyatakan bahwa skor mengalami peningkatan hasil belajar siswa signifikan sehingga Ha hasil belajar diterima. Kriteria pengujiannya adalah hipotesis Ho diterima dan Ha ditolak jika thitung > ttabel Sebaliknya, hipotetis Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima jika nilai thitung > ttabel, artinya ada pengaruh terhadap media audio visual.

Abstract

Media pembelajaran adalah segala bentuk alat atau bahan yang digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran untuk membantu peserta didik dalam memahami dan menguasai materi pelajaran. Sering ditemukan bahwa guru mengajar kurang berfariasi contohnya terlalu berpacu pada buku, terlalu menggunakan metode ceramah, kurangnya guru dalam menyiapkan materi, kurang memadainya sarana dan prasarana di sekolah. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam membuat dan mengembangkan media pembelajaran, yaitu dengan menggunakan media interaktif adobe flash cs6.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menggambarkan penerapan pembelajaran inovatif STEAM di sekolah dasar kota Serang. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode naratif dengan teknik wawancara. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru kelas V di UPTD SD NEGERI 122345 Pematangsiantar Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran inovatif STEAM sebagai berikut: 1) perencanaan pembelajaran STEAM yang dikembangkan dalam memandu pendidik untuk melaksanakan tugas sebagai pendidik dalam melayani kebutuhan aktivitas belajar peserta didiknya; 2) Perencanaan pembelajaran dipandang sebagai suatu alat yang dapat membantu pendidik lebih berdaya guna dalam melaksanakan tugas dan fungsinya secara lebih efektif, tepat waktu, dan memberi peluang untuk lebih mudah dikontrol dan dimonitor pelaksanaannya; 3) Setiap topik yang dibahas harus sesuai terkait dengan komponen diantaranya science, technology, Engineering, art dan mathematics; dan 4) Penilaian harus benar-benar sesuai dengan tujuan performa yang telah ditetapkan. Dengan demikian peserta didik melalui pembelajaran inovatif STEAM memiliki pengalaman langsung sehingga membangun pemahaman materi pembelajaran lebih bermakna. Pendidik menjadi fasilitator yang memfasilitasi pembelajaran dengan pengorganisasian bahan ajar, strategi penyampaian dan pengelolaan kegiatan dengan memperhatikan tujuan, hambatan, dan karakteristik peserta didik sehingga diperoleh hasil yang efektif dan efisien.

Abstract

Tren inovasi peningkatan kemampuan berbahasa Inggris menjadi salah satu kebutuhan penting di era globalisasi, terutama bagi masyarakat yang terlibat dalam sektor pariwisata. Desa Wisata Sait Buttu, yang terletak di Pematang Sidamanik, Kabupaten Simalungun, memiliki potensi besar untuk menarik wisatawan domestik maupun internasional. Namun, kemampuan berbahasa Inggris yang terbatas di kalangan anggota Kelompok Kerja (Pokja) menjadi tantangan tersendiri. Dalam konteks ini, inovasi berbasis digital seperti SmartGuide diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa Inggris masyarakat setempat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tren inovasi dalam peningkatan kemampuan berbahasa Inggris melalui platform digital, serta dampaknya terhadap pengembangan desa wisata.

Abstract

Eksistensi guru khususnya pada sekolah dasar dalam memahami teori pembelajaran belum sepenuhnya. Apalagi yang mendasarkan pada pengelolaan kelas berbasis karakter. Oleh karena itu, masih banyak guru-guru yang masih menerapkan metode yang membuat siswa kurang tertarik untuk mengikuti pelajaran yakni metode ceramah, untuk itu pengabdi melakukan kegiatan dalam memberikan pelatihan guna menjadi masukan untuk meningkatkan minat belajar pada siswa. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini adalah merupakan Pengabdian berbasis pemberdayaan masyarakat dengan guru-guru sebagai sasaran pengabdian agar kualitas pembelajaran semakin meningkat. Kegiatan pengabdian ini merujuk pada pembangunan kebiasaan pengelolaan dengan tahap Rencanakan-Lakukan – Koreksi – Aksi. Dengan adanya kegiatan ini, guru-guru Sekolah Dasar Negeri 095135 di Sipolha Horisan Kabupaten Simalungun dapat lebih terampil dalam menjalankan kegiatan belajar mengajar sehingga dapat berpengaruh baik pada potensi dan prestasi para siswa
