Kasyafa: Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam is a peer-reviewed journal published by Penerbit Hellow Pustaka in Collaboration with Pascasarjana Institut Agama Islam Tasikmalaya. The journal is aimed at spreading the research results conducted by academicians, researchers, and practitioners in the field of Islamic Education and Teaching. In particular, papers which consider the following general topics are invited: Islamic Education Research, Islamic Teaching in Schools, Islamic Learning in Madrasah, Islamic Learning in Islamic Boarding Schools, Learning Islamic Religion in Higher Education, Islamic Education Philosophy, Teaching Preparation and Performance, Curriculum in Islamic Education, Islamic Education Management, Tafsir Tarbawy, Hadith Tarbawy, and Innovation in Islamic Teaching and Learning, Teacher Professional Development. Kasyafa: Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam is publish 4 (four ) times annually (February, May, August, and November). Each of the issue has articles both on conceptual article and research article. Kasyafa: Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam in Bahasa Indonesia, English or Arabic written articles are also welcomed.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal and analyze the various obstacles that arise in the learning process of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at the Junior High School (SMP) level, as well as formulate appropriate solutions to overcome them. The approach used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The research findings show that the main challenges in PAI learning include low student motivation, limited technology facilities, lack of parental involvement, and teachers' difficulties in adjusting learning methods to the characteristics of today's students. However, this study also identified a number of solutions that can be applied, including understanding individual student characteristics and needs, applying innovative approaches, utilizing educational technology media to create a more interesting and interactive learning atmosphere, and consistently giving appreciation to students to increase their motivation. Support from the school and good collaboration with parents are also important factors in supporting the success of PAI learning. This study recommends that schools strengthen technology facilities and organize training for teachers to be more proficient in using technology-based learning media. In addition, it is necessary to build closer cooperation between teachers and students, schools, parents, and the surrounding community to create a conducive learning environment. With these steps, it is expected that the PAI learning process at Al Fajar Islamic Junior High School in Maleber can take place more effectively and have a positive impact on strengthening students' religious values.

Abstract

Microteaching is a small-scale teaching practice designed to enhance the pedagogical competence of prospective teachers. Through this activity, education students develop skills in lesson planning, material delivery, and learning evaluation. One critical aspect of microteaching is the selection of appropriate and engaging learning media tailored to student characteristics. This article aims to examine the use of animated videos as a medium in microteaching and its effect on students’ learning interest. This study employs a descriptive-reflective method based on the direct experience of students conducting microteaching in a guided academic setting. Observations revealed that the use of animated videos created a more interactive, visual, and enjoyable learning environment. Students showed higher focus, enthusiasm, and participation during lessons delivered with animated content compared to conventional methods. Beyond its positive effect on students, animated video media also increased the confidence and creativity of student-teachers in delivering learning materials. This type of media allows them to present abstract concepts more concretely through easily understandable visual illustrations. These findings align with previous research, which indicates that visual media significantly improves student motivation and academic performance. Therefore, animated videos are not only effective in microteaching contexts but also serve as innovative instructional tools in actual classroom practice. This article recommends the use of animated videos as a modern learning innovation that integrates technology with student learning needs effectively.

Abstract

Discipline in an educational institution is an element that is very much needed as well as the most effective means in the learning process. A disciplined attitude provides many benefits to maintain a balance between the tendency and desire of children to do something with the regulations needed in the environment. And efforts that can be made in instilling a disciplined attitude in children are to provide good examples and habits for actions carried out every day. This study focuses on the discipline of female students and the supporting and inhibiting factors of the discipline of female students at IDIA Prenduan Sumenep. This study uses descriptive qualitative research with a case study research type. The data sources in this study were obtained from leaders, naibah, ustadzah and female students. using interview and observation methods. From this method, the researcher analyzed the data and information obtained from informants, by reducing data, presenting data and finally concluding it so as to produce information that is in accordance with the focus of the study. The discipline applied in the IDIA environment is divided into 3 parts, namely the Sharia field (worship) such as congregational prayer, tahajjud prayer, tadarus muajjah and other worship activities. The language field such as female students must use the official language (English and Arabic) as their daily language, and the qonun field (orderly clothing that can be used both inside and outside the dormitory, and time to study. Supporting factors are the awareness that grows within female students, the character or personality that is formed within female students, motivation that can raise the spirit of female students, and the tazwidul mufrodat agenda. Inhibiting factors are inherited from home or bad behavior, lack of knowledge of nahwu and sorof, and wrong and socializing or wrong in choosing friends.

Abstract

The STAD type cooperative learning model is one of the simplest learning methods that emphasizes student activity and interaction to motivate each other and understand the subject. In the learning approach, the teacher of class one intensive A still relies on the conventional approach, namely lectures. Teachers may not realize that students feel less enthusiastic because there is no change in the situation in the classroom. The causal factor is the lack of motivation of students in class one intensive A in learning in the classroom which is triggered by the learning model applied by the teacher of fiqh in class one intensive A, resulting in active teachers and passive students. Qualitative research is a non-statistical and intersubjective research in understanding phenomena (events, conditions) in depth about the subject being studied in a natural context. The research approach reveals a problem or event that exists now. The results of the study emphasize an objective description of the actual state of the object being studied. In this study, the researcher attempted to identify efforts to improve student learning motivation through observation, interviews and documentation of fiqh learning in class one intensive A at MTs TMI Prenduan. The results of this study are. 1). STAD type cooperative learning can increase students' learning motivation such as (a) they have great hopes and ideals; b) interesting learning and c) a conducive learning environment so that students can learn well and comfortably. 2.) Three factors that cause the learning process to be hampered such as: taking a lot of time in preparing learning, the number of students is too many so that teachers are less than optimal in observing learning activities and require special skills for teachers.

Abstract

This study aims to examine digital transformation and innovation in the management of Islamic education as strategic efforts to prepare the Indonesia's Golden Generation 2045. The research employs a literature review method by analyzing various sources related to the implementation of digital technology and managerial innovation in Islamic educational institutions. The findings indicate that digitalization of the Islamic Education Management Information System (SIMPI), the utilization of e-learning platforms, and the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) play vital roles in improving management efficiency, learning quality, and accessibility of education. Additionally, technology-based innovations that strengthen communication among stakeholders and expand educational reach especially in remote areas are essential. However, the implementation of digital transformation faces multiple challenges, such as infrastructural deficiencies, low digital literacy, and unequal access to technology in certain regions. Therefore, ongoing innovation and comprehensive strategies are required to ensure that Islamic education remains relevant, adaptive, and capable of supporting the national vision of Indonesia's Golden Generation 2045.

Abstract

As a nation that has a variety of diversity, Indonesia has the potential to cause conflicts among citizens, both in the smallest scope and on a large scale. The diversity of languages, cultures, tribes, and even religions is a gift that must be recognized as a form of noble heritage of our predecessors. One of the triggers for the emergence of intolerance behavior is the existence of differences in religious beliefs, an exclusive attitude in understanding religious problems in society. Islamic educational institutions have a responsibility that is not light in providing an inclusive understanding of society and teaching tolerance and noble religious values. The substance of religious teachings such as tolerance and religious harmony towards school residents should be internalized as early as possible. This paper explains the importance of religious harmony, tolerance, and for Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the application of the innovative Flipped Classroom learning model to improve critical thinking skills in elementary school students. The Flipped Classroom model reverses the traditional learning sequence by providing learning materials to students before face-to-face sessions, allowing class time to be used for discussion, collaboration, and problem-solving. Through this approach, students are encouraged to be more active, independent, and reflective in the learning process. The research method used was a descriptive qualitative study using observation, interviews, and documentation techniques with teachers and fifth-grade students at an elementary school in Indonesia. The results indicate that the implementation of the Flipped Classroom significantly improves indicators of critical thinking skills, such as the ability to analyze, evaluate, and summarize information. These findings contribute to the development of learning strategies that align with the demands of the Independent Curriculum, which emphasizes differentiated learning and the strengthening of critical thinking skills.

Abstract

As a teacher, it is important to pay attention to the right learning media. Learning media can support the optimization of learning in the classroom. Good learning media will certainly make it easier for students to understand the lesson. Some previous research explains that learning media is very important to be presented in every learning. Based on the point of view of hadith science itself, learning media must be realized actualization in the scope of education. So that educators themselves are not only expected to have intellectual and moral competence but must also have strategic competence in determining learning media. Today some points of view assume that learning media in the scope of Islamic learning, especially al Hadith, is still far behind. This is motivated by several factors. Among them, 1) lack of innovation regarding the development of al Hadith learning media. 2) lack of attention from some parties on the issue. 3) the absence of awareness of some educators regarding the urgency of developing al Hadith learning media. This research uses qualitative research methods with literature study data sources in the form of scientific journals, previous research, documents, magazines, newspapers and books with related problems. This research is aimed at knowing how the development of al Hadith learning media. This study found that the media development of learning media al Hadith is important to improve. The development of learning media can be realized by utilizing several aspects such as through visual learning media that include movement, images or demonstrations.

Abstract

This study is designed to examine the impact of the ability to read the Qur'an on the achievement of learning Arabic at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Asy Syifa Balikpapan. With a cooperative quantitative approach, a population of 200 students was studied and 35 students were randomly selected as samples. To collect data, this study used a questionnaire consisting of ten questions using the Likert Scale. Data analysis was carried out by applying reliability tests directly through SPSS 25. The R Square value obtained at 0.590 indicates that there is a significant correlation between the ability to read the Qur'an and the achievement of learning Arabic. This means that the ability to read the Qur'an contributes by 59% to the variation of Arabic learning outcomes. Furthermore, a reliability coefficient of 0.785 indicates that every 1% increase in Qur'anic reading ability will increase Arabic learning achievement by 0.785. In conclusion, the ability to read the Qur'an has a positive impact on Arabic learning outcomes, so it is very important to integrate the teaching of reading the Qur'an into the Arabic curriculum in madrassas to improve student achievement.

Abstract

This study aims to theoretically describe the role of Tolang teachers in building authority and transmitting Islamic educational knowledge in Madura. Using a library research method, this study aims to provide a detailed explanation of the research objectives. The results of this study demonstrate that the role of Tolang teachers in building authority and transmitting Islamic educational knowledge in Madura involves several important stages, starting with identifying and building authority and spirituality, transmitting Islamic educational knowledge, developing Islamic character, and contributing to community development, as well as challenges and opportunities.
