Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of regional cooperation in improving public service delivery in Jembrana Regency. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, documentation, and observation. The findings reveal that regional cooperation has contributed positively to enhancing public service accessibility, responsiveness, and institutional capacity. However, its effectiveness remains moderate and uneven across sectors. Several challenges were identified, including weak coordination among institutions, sectoral ego, limited financial and infrastructural resources, and inadequate monitoring and evaluation mechanisms. Furthermore, some cooperation initiatives tend to be formalistic and lack strong operational implementation, resulting in a gap between policy objectives and actual outcomes. The study also finds that improvements in public service quality are not solely driven by regional cooperation but are also influenced by internal bureaucratic reforms. Therefore, regional cooperation should be positioned as a complementary mechanism within a broader governance framework. Strengthening coordination, institutional capacity, and evaluation systems is essential to optimize the effectiveness of regional cooperation in supporting sustainable public service improvement.

Abstract

Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are central to local economic activity, yet village-based businesses often face limited digital promotion, non-cash payment readiness, and online business visibility. This community service program assisted MSMEs in Bojong Kulur Village through e-catalog development, Google Maps registration, Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) implementation, and business-branding media. A participatory approach involved Village-Owned Enterprise managers and MSME actors in observation, planning, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up. The program produced an e-catalog containing 15 featured products, activated QRIS for one MSME, registered one business location on Google Maps, and delivered a new branding banner. Google Maps recorded more than 20 location searches during the first two weeks, while several non-cash transactions were reported during the first week of QRIS use. The intervention strengthened initial business visibility, digital transaction readiness, and promotional capacity. However, long-term sustainability requires a designated digital administrator, regular content training, periodic catalog updates, and continued support from the Village-Owned Enterprise and village government.

Abstract

The increasing prevalence of fraud cases and ethical violations within corporate environments indicates that internal control systems and corporate governance have not yet been fully effective. One mechanism believed to be capable of detecting and preventing unethical behavior is whistleblowing, whose effectiveness is strongly influenced by corporate governance culture and individual characteristics. This study aims to analyze the effects of whistleblowing mechanisms and corporate governance culture on employees’ ethical behavior, while considering the role of Machiavellianism in the context of companies in Indonesia. This study employs a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. Primary data were collected through questionnaires administered to employees of private companies and state-owned enterprises (SOEs), selected using purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that whistleblowing mechanisms and corporate governance culture have a positive and significant effect on employees’ ethical behavior, whereas Machiavellianism has a negative effect and weakens the influence of both variables. These findings underscore the importance of integrating reporting systems, governance culture, and the management of individual characteristics to promote ethical behavior and prevent fraud within companies.

Abstract

The small-scale tofu industry Tahu Sumedang Putri Deli generates large volumes of wastewater that have been discharged directly into the drainage channel without treatment, causing odor, turbidity, and blockage that disturb the surrounding settlement. This community service program aims to implement an eco-wetland phytoremediation technology using water lettuce (Pistia stratiotes) and water jasmine (Echinodorus palaefolius) equipped with a coarse screen, as well as to strengthen the partner's capacity in wastewater management and cleaner production practices. The method consisted of socialization, training, technology implementation, mentoring and evaluation, and sustainability planning, supported by the environmental group Klinik Reboisasi. Results showed a 77.8% plant survival rate on day 7, with all water jasmine plants surviving while water lettuce reached 66.7%. Over six days of operation, wastewater pH increased from 4.76 to 7.3–7.4, TDS decreased by 43.3–49.9%, and dissolved oxygen increased by 29.6–48.1%. Partner knowledge scores rose from an average of 55.0 to 86.25, with 87.5% of partners able to operate the system independently. These improvements were also supported by routine cleaning of the channel and plants, as well as the selection of water jasmine seedlings with well-developed root systems. The program indicates that eco-wetland is one of the least expensive and viable solutions for small-scale tofu industries, though it requires source reduction for wastewater management to remain sustainable.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze service quality, patient satisfaction, and patient loyalty at Bethesda Hospital Tomohon. A quantitative approach was employed, with a sample size of 100 respondents. Data analysis involved both descriptive and verificative methods, specifically path analysis. Descriptive analysis revealed that respondents rated service quality, patient satisfaction, and patient loyalty favorably; however, certain shortcomings requiring attention and improvement were identified. Meanwhile, the verificative analysis (path analysis model) showed positive path coefficients between variables. Furthermore, the path coefficient for the indirect effect exceeded that of the direct effect (62.5% > 52.1%), indicating that patient satisfaction acts as an intervening variable that mediates the relationship between service quality and patient loyalty. A correlation coefficient of 0.968 indicates a strong relationship between the variables, and a coefficient of determination (R²) of 67.5% demonstrates a substantial influence of service quality on patient satisfaction and patient loyalty. The statistical hypothesis test results (partial t-test) indicate that service quality has a positive effect on patient satisfaction (t-statistic > tα: 12.115 > 1.98) and a positive, significant effect on patient loyalty (t-statistic > tα: 13.498 > 1.98); patient satisfaction has a positive, significant direct effect on patient loyalty (t-statistic > tα: 10.289 > 1.98); and service quality has a positive indirect effect on patient loyalty mediated by patient satisfaction (t-statistic > tα: 9.016 > 1.98). Overall, the research findings demonstrate the implications of service quality and patient satisfaction for patient loyalty.

Abstract

The quality of healthcare services is a crucial factor influencing patient satisfaction and loyalty, particularly in outpatient care. High patient satisfaction can increase trust and the likelihood of patients returning to healthcare services and recommending them to others. Therefore, a comprehensive study is needed to examine the relationship between healthcare service quality and outpatient satisfaction and loyalty. This study aims to analyze the relationship between healthcare service quality and outpatient satisfaction and loyalty through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. This study used a Systematic Literature Review method by searching for scientific articles obtained from various databases such as Google Scholar, PubMed, and ScienceDirect. The article selection process was carried out based on predetermined inclusion and exclusion criteria, including articles discussing healthcare service quality, patient satisfaction, and outpatient loyalty, and published within a specific timeframe. The results of the review indicate that healthcare service quality has a positive and significant relationship with outpatient satisfaction. The service quality dimensions that most frequently influence patient satisfaction include reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangibles. Healthcare service quality is a major factor influencing outpatient satisfaction and loyalty. Improving service quality across various quality dimensions can increase patient satisfaction, ultimately driving patient loyalty to healthcare facilities. These findings can serve as a basis for healthcare facility managers in designing service quality improvement strategies that are oriented toward patient needs and expectations.
