Abstract

This study aims to explore the influence of social media on the formation of students' self-identity and interpersonal skills. In a social context, social media offers opportunities for students to express themselves and network, but it also brings challenges such as social pressure and a decline in face-to-face interaction. This study was conducted with a descriptive qualitative approach in State Islamic universities, using interview, observation, and documentation techniques to collect data. The results show that social media allows students to form digital identities through tailored content, but it often raises unrealistic social expectations. In addition, reliance on social media reduces the intensity and quality of face-to-face interactions, which impacts interpersonal skills such as empathy and listening. This research makes an important contribution to understanding the dynamics of social media in the socio-cultural context of Indonesia, but it has limitations in population coverage. These findings are expected to serve as a basis for further research and the development of more thoughtful social media use strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the impact of smartphone use on students' social behavior. This study was driven by the phenomenon of increasing smartphone use among teenagers that affects the way they interact, both in cyberspace and in face-to-face communication. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with a case study type. Data were collected through interview techniques, observations, and documentation from students, teachers, and school staff. Data analysis was carried out using the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The findings show that although smartphones help students maintain long-distance relationships and expand social networks, excessive use also causes a decrease in face-to-face interactions, which impacts their social skills, such as direct communication and empathy. The limitations of this study lie in the limited scope of only one school, so the results cannot be generalized to the entire population. The contribution of this study provides insight into how smartphones change students' social communication patterns and provides recommendations for education regarding the wise use of technology. This study also opens up opportunities for further studies on the impact of smartphone use on adolescent mental health and their social development.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how the application of a machine learning-based learning system to students' learning psychology. This study focuses on improving the quality of learning that not only pays attention to cognitive aspects, but also to students' emotional aspects that often affect their academic achievement. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type to explore students' experiences in using a machine learning-based system in the learning process. Data collection techniques are carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation, with data analysis using the Miles and Huberman model. The results of the study indicate that the application of this system is effective in reducing academic anxiety (Academic Anxiety Reduction), increasing students' self-confidence through positive reinforcement (Increased self-confidence through positive reinforcement), and developing students' emotional resilience (Positive Resilience to Emotional Learning). The contribution of this study is to provide new insights into the role of technology, especially machine learning, in supporting the development of students' emotional intelligence which can ultimately improve their academic well-being.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of implementing AI in improving the quality of religious learning and students' moral achievement at madrasas. This research is driven by the challenge of increasing the effectiveness of in-depth religious learning, which requires a broad and contextual understanding, amidst the limited access to education. The research method used is a case study with a qualitative approach, involving observation and interviews with students and teachers, the results of which are then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman approach. The research findings show that the application of AI in religious learning can provide relevant and personalized materials, increase accessibility, and support flexible learning. In addition, positive reinforcement has been shown to increase students' self-confidence which contributes to increasing their participation and academic achievement. Emotional resilience supported by an empathetic approach from teachers has also been shown to increase students' mental resilience, help them cope with academic and social pressures, and play a role in achieving better morals. The contribution of this research is to provide insight into the importance of integrating AI, positive reinforcement, and emotional resilience in improving the quality of religious education and students' moral achievement, which can be used as a model for the development of religious education in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implications of teacher certification policies in realizing teacher welfare. The research uses a qualitative approach. Data was collected through in-depth observation and interviews with certified, non-certified teachers, and school principals, which were then analyzed through the stages of data condensation, data presentation, and verification. The results of the study show that the certification policy has a positive impact on the fulfillment of economic welfare through professional allowances, encouraging teacher professionalism through competency recognition, and improving social welfare through community recognition. However, this study also found that there is an imbalance in access to certification programs, so that policy effectiveness is not optimal. The implication of this study is the need to improve the accessibility and inclusivity of certification programs to ensure that the benefits of the policy are felt equally by all teachers. This result is expected to be the basis for developing more effective and equitable policies in supporting the welfare of teachers.

Abstract

21st-century learning requires students to master the skills of 4C (critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration). For this reason, teachers need to choose the right learning model to accommodate the needs and characteristics of students so that learning goals can be achieved optimally. This study aims to explore the implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) learning model contextualized with the local wisdom of Kudus culture in improving understanding of concepts and problem-solving skills in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah students. The approach used in this study is qualitative with a case study method. This research was conducted at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, and the research subjects consisted of principals, teachers, and grade V students. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using interactive model data analysis techniques from Miles, Huberman, and Saldana, including the stages of data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion. The study results show that science learning using the PjBL model contextualized with the local wisdom of Kudus culture has a positive and practical impact in improving the understanding of concepts and problem-solving skills of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah students. The contribution of this research is to provide insight into the application of a project-based learning model that integrates local cultural values, which can be used as a reference in developing learning strategies that are more contextual and relevant to the needs of students in the era of globalization.

Abstract

This research explores the challenges faced in implementing edutainment in elementary schools as an alternative method for increasing student motivation and involvement and honing their problem-solving skills. This research is based on the increasing need to create an engaging and effective learning atmosphere and problems related to low student motivation and monotonous learning methods. The research method used is a qualitative approach with the type of case study research. Data collection techniques are carried out through in-depth interviews with teachers, direct observation in the classroom, and documentation of learning activities. The findings show that although edutainment succeeds in increasing student engagement, the main challenge is balancing the entertainment element and the educational objectives. In addition, efficient time management and selecting appropriate educational games are key in optimizing the benefits of edutainment. The contribution of this research is to provide insight into how the implementation of edutainment can be optimized at the elementary school level, as well as identify obstacles that need to be considered by educators. The recommendation of this study is to create the right balance between entertainment and learning and to provide training to teachers to choose and apply educational games that are relevant to the learning objectives.
