Abstract

This study aims to improve mathematics learning outcomes in fractions material for grade 3 students of MIN 1 Jombang by using concrete object teaching aids. The use of teaching aids is expected to help students understand the concept of fractions more easily through real learning experiences. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is carried out in two cycles, where each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of this study were grade 3 students of MIN 1 Jombang. Data collection was carried out through observation, learning outcome tests, and interviews with students and teachers. The results of the study showed an increase in students' understanding of the concept of fractions after the application of concrete object teaching aids. This is indicated by the increase in the average value of student learning outcomes from the first cycle to the next cycle. In addition, the use of teaching aids also has a positive impact on students' interest and motivation in learning mathematics, so that students are more active and enthusiastic in participating in learning. Thus, the use of concrete object teaching aids can be an alternative effective learning strategy to improve student learning outcomes, especially in understanding fractions material

Abstract

Early childhood is an important stage in the formation of their personality and creativity. Creativity needs to be stimulated early on so that children are able to think flexibly, imaginatively, and innovatively. However, observations at RA Latisya showed that the creativity of group B children had not developed optimally. This is thought to be caused by the lack of teacher creativity in providing appropriate stimulation. Many children tend to hesitate to draw and color without examples, so their imagination skills are less honed. This study aims to improve the creativity of children aged 5-6 years through the application of the picture story method. This method allows children to develop their imagination and creativity by connecting the stories they hear with the pictures they make. In addition, this approach also contributes to improving children's language and fine motor skills. This study used a qualitative approach with observation, interview, and documentation methods. The results of the study showed that the application of the picture story method consistently can improve children's creativity in drawing, coloring, and expressing their ideas freely and confidently. This is in line with Law No. 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System which emphasizes the importance of stimulating early childhood education to support optimal development. Thus, the picture story method can be an effective strategy to increase the creativity of early childhood in educational environments

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in Islamic religious education learning by using the scaffolding method. This study is a classroom action research that uses four steps, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study were junior high school students. The data for this study were obtained by test and observation techniques. Tests are used to measure learning outcomes and observations are used to analyze teacher and student learning activities. The data analysis technique used in this study is descriptive statistics by comparing the results obtained with research success indicators. The results of the study indicate that the scaffolding method can improve student learning outcomes in Islamic religious education learning. This can be seen from the increase in the percentage of student learning completion in each cycle with details of the pre-cycle 48.81%, the first cycle 66.39% and in the second cycle it increased to 89.66%. Thus, the use of the scaffolding method can be used as an alternative to improve student learning outcomes in Islamic religious education learning

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the improvement of children's cognitive ability in sorting patterns through the use of Flannel bags in group B RA Al Islam Pitoro. The ability to sort patterns is an important aspect in the cognitive development of early childhood, because it helps children think logically, systematically, and builds a foundation for understanding mathematical concepts such as number patterns, shapes, and colors. Therefore, innovative and interesting learning methods are needed so that children can more easily understand the concept of patterns. The research method used is quantitative with a quasi-experimental design involving two groups, namely the experimental group using Flannel bags and the control group learning with conventional methods. Data collection was carried out through cognitive tests, observations, and interviews with teachers and parents to determine children's development before and after the intervention. The results showed that the use of Flannel bags significantly improved children's ability to recognize, arrange, and predict repeating patterns compared to conventional learning methods. In addition, observations and interviews showed an increase in children's motivation, enthusiasm, and active participation in learning activities. In conclusion, Flannel bags are an effective learning tool to improve children's cognitive abilities in sorting patterns. Therefore, it is recommended for educators to adopt this media as an innovative, interactive, and fun learning strategy for early childhood.

Abstract

The formation of good morals in elementary madrasah students is one of the main goals in Islamic education. This study aims to analyze the effect of the implementation of the scaffolding method in a value-based learning model on students' good moral attitudes at MI Al Fattah Darussalam, Malang City. The scaffolding method is a learning strategy that provides gradual assistance to students until they are able to learn independently, while value-based learning focuses on instilling morals and character through meaningful learning experiences. This study uses a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach with qualitative and quantitative methods. The subjects of the study were students of class [mention class] MI Al Fattah Darussalam. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, then analyzed using qualitative descriptive techniques and simple statistics. The results of the study showed that the implementation of the scaffolding method in a value-based learning model significantly improved students' understanding and application of good moral attitudes. In the first cycle, students showed an increase in understanding of the concept of good morals, but there were still several obstacles in its application. After further intervention in the second cycle, there was a more significant increase in students' attitudes of discipline, honesty, responsibility, and empathy in everyday life. In addition, this method also increases students' active involvement in the learning process, both in class discussions and reflective activities. The conclusion of this study is that the scaffolding method in value-based learning can be an effective strategy in shaping students' character and improving their moral attitudes. The application of this method can help teachers guide students gradually until they can understand and apply moral values in everyday life. This study is expected to be a reference for educators in developing more innovative and value-based learning strategies

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the application of animated video media in increasing students' interest in learning the subject of Islamic Cultural History at MTs Maradekaya. One of the main obstacles in SKI learning is the low interest of students, which is caused by monotonous teaching methods and the minimal use of interesting learning media. As a result, many students are less motivated in participating in SKI learning. To overcome this problem, this study applies animated video media as an innovative strategy in the learning process to increase student involvement, understanding, and interest in learning Islamic history material. The research method used is Classroom Action Research with the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which consists of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were grade VIII students at MTs Maradekaya. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and learning outcome tests to obtain an overview of the effectiveness of the use of The results of the study showed that the use of animated videos significantly increased students' interest in learning. This can be seen from the increase in student participation in the learning process, increased enthusiasm in thinking, and better learning evaluation results compared to conventional methods. Animated videos help students understand the concept of Islamic history more clearly, interestingly, and interactively. In addition, this media is also able to improve students' memory of the material presented because the visualization is more concrete and easy to understand. Thus, the application of animated video media has proven effective in increasing students' interest and understanding of SKI subjects. Therefore, it is recommended for educators to use more technology and interactive learning media to create a more interesting learning atmosphere.
