Abstract

Kegiatan sosialisasi "Pentingnya Pendidikan Bagi Anak, Remaja, Dan Pemuda" dilakukan dengan tujuan meningkatkan pemahaman tentang pentingnya pendidikan di kedua desa. Narasumber dari universitas dan pendamping LSM memberikan wawasan yang mendalam kepada peserta, yang terdiri dari anak-anak, remaja, dan pemuda. Hasil dari kegiatan ini mencerminkan peningkatan kesadaran peserta akan pentingnya pendidikan dalam meningkatkan kualitas hidup, memajukan ekonomi keluarga, menghindari perilaku negatif, dan menciptakan masa depan yang lebih baik. Peserta juga berkomitmen untuk mengutamakan pendidikan daripada kegiatan-kegiatan lain. Kegiatan sosialisasi ini penting dalam meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat terkait peran pendidikan dalam mengatasi tantangan sosial dan ekonomi. Diharapkan bahwa dengan pemahaman yang lebih baik ini, anak-anak, remaja, dan pemuda di kedua desa akan lebih termotivasi untuk mengejar pendidikan tinggi dan meningkatkan peluang mereka untuk masa depan yang lebih cerah.

Abstract

The workshop “Digital Articles for Sustainable Tourism: Integrating Literacy Culture, Green School, and Technology” at SMKS Bakti Luhur Tambolaka aims to enhance teachers' digital literacy and article writing skills, with a focus on sustainable tourism. This activity is designed to equip teachers with an understanding of the essential role of digital literacy in disseminating information on sustainability issues, particularly in the tourism sector. In the digital era, this literacy is increasingly relevant in helping teachers convey messages about the importance of environmental preservation through responsible tourism practices. In addition to digital literacy, the workshop introduces the Green School concept, an educational approach focused on environmental sustainability. This concept emphasizes reducing paper usage and promotes technology-based learning to support eco-friendly educational processes. Through the Green School concept, teachers are encouraged to integrate digital technology into their daily teaching, including publishing educational articles on sustainability on school blogs or social media. Thus, teachers are not only trained in writing but are also taught how to leverage digital platforms as interactive learning media. The workshop consists of material sessions, writing practice, and group discussions. Teachers are divided into groups to write articles related to sustainable tourism. They practice crafting messages about eco-friendly tourism into informative and engaging digital articles. The results of this activity show that the teachers not only gained technical skills in digital writing but were also able to create content that promotes environmental awareness among students. With these skills, the teachers are expected to become agents of change, spreading the values of sustainable tourism and environmentally friendly education to students and the wider community, aligning with the needs of education in the digital era.

Abstract

This workshop aims to enhance the critical thinking skills of teachers at SMKS Efata Omba Rade to effectively support the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. The main focus of this activity is to develop the teachers' non-technical or soft skills, particularly in critical thinking and contextual pedagogy. The three primary objectives of this workshop include: (1) increasing teachers' understanding of critical thinking skills in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum, (2) strengthening pedagogical skills to support more contextual and meaningful teaching methods, and (3) guiding teachers in training students to think critically within the context of the tourism industry. This workshop is expected to enrich teachers' ability to apply innovative and effective teaching methods. The anticipated outcomes include enhanced critical thinking skills for teachers, a deep understanding of pedagogy relevant to industry demands, and teacher readiness to guide students toward becoming a creative and analytical generation. Thus, this activity contributes to preparing SMKS Efata graduates to face challenges and opportunities in the workforce, particularly in the tourism sector

Abstract

Hypertensive retinopathy is a type of eye disease where microvascular changes occur in the retina experienced by high blood pressure sufferers. The arterial and venous ratio (AVR) in the retina of the eye is an indicator used to determine the presence of high blood pressure, which is measured by the ratio of the width of the retinal arteries and veins. Traditionally, ophthalmologists use fundus images or retinal images of the eye to diagnose hypertensive retinopathy's physical symptoms and determine the phase of evolution. Still, traditional methods have limitations because, in the case of borderline stages, the early symptoms of hypertensive retinopathy will be difficult to identify manually, so they are often ignored. Referring to these problems, early diagnosis is needed for accurate prevention and treatment of hypertensive retinopathy. Based on the abovementioned issues, this service activity aims to implement a hypertensive retinopathy disease detection model using a local dataset from a regional general hospital in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). It will compare the model detection results with those of three eye disease experts. Classification model testing results using the Messidor training and NTB Regional Hospital datasets. In models using the Messidor training dataset, the highest accuracy is a comparison with the results of the most senior expert's observations. The results of the classification model are only a tool to assist ophthalmologists in diagnosing hypertensive retinopathy, while the final decision remains with the expert or ophthalmologist.

Abstract

The problem in Wee Kura Village is that elementary school age children consider mathematics to be one of the most difficult subjects. Many elementary school age children are afraid of mathematics. One approach that can be used in learning mathematics is PMRI using the Dragon Ball Learning Model. The aim of this community service is to increase the understanding of elementary school age children through the PMRI approach using the Dragon Ball learning model. It is hoped that this community service activity will be able to overcome the problems of elementary school age children. Methods for carrying out activities include observation, preparation of service instruments, implementation of mathematics learning, evaluation and reporting. Learning activities are carried out outside school hours. The pretest results obtained the highest score of 75 and the lowest score of 45, while the average score was 60. For the posttest score, the highest score was 100 and the lowest score was 70, while the average score was 85. There was an increase in understanding abilities for elementary school age children. The interview results show that children are enthusiastic about learning mathematics, they can learn mathematics with fun approaches and method

Abstract

Students of the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program at the University of Mataram still do not understand the material on elementary school PJOK warm-up and cool-down movements before and after the core activities. In addition, they have never received socialization about the e-module for elementary school PJOK warm-up and cool-down movements. Through the e-module for elementary school PJOK warm-up and cool-down movements, students not only learn the description of the material in the form of text and images but students are also facilitated in the form of learning videos. The purpose of this community service is to provide socialization of the e-module for elementary school PJOK warm-up and cool-down movements. The methods used consist of 4 stages, namely identifying partner problems, collecting data and planning solutions, and implementing solutions. The results of this activity are that the participants' knowledge and motivation to learn about elementary school PJOK warm-up and cool-down movements are increased.

Abstract

Sama Guna tourist village in North Lombok Regency has great natural and cultural tourism potential. However, limitations in promotion are a major challenge for the village to attract more tourists. One solution that can be done is to make an informative and interesting village profile video. This community service activity is in the form of mentoring and making a video profile of Sama Guna Tourism Village. This activity actively involves the local community to explore the potential of the village, build promotional narratives, and produce profile videos that authentically represent the village identity. The service method adopts the Participatory Action Research (PAR) service model, with stages including preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The results of the activity show an increase in community understanding of the importance of digital promotional media, as well as producing profile videos that are ready to be used to promote tourist villages on various platforms.

Abstract

The use of technology in the learning process has become an important need to improve the quality of education in the digital era. This service activity aims to integrate technology in learning to improve the basic literacy skills of Buti Merauke State Middle School students. The method used includes three main stages: planning, implementation and evaluation. The planning stage is carried out through observation to understand student needs and design appropriate technology-based learning strategies. At the implementation stage, students are actively involved through the use of digital devices and interactive learning applications that support collaboration. Evaluation is carried out by observing the learning process and collecting feedback from participants to measure the effectiveness of the program. The results show that the use of technology is successful in increasing student engagement, basic literacy skills, and learning management efficiency. Although there are obstacles such as limited access to devices, this is overcome by teacher training and the provision of shared devices. This dedication proves that technology, if used strategically, can support inclusive and relevant learning.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are critical to driving economic growth, particularly by creating jobs, increasing household incomes, and reducing poverty. In Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB), 786 registered MSMEs operate across various sectors such as trade, agriculture, and industry. However, many MSMEs face challenges due to a lack of legal business status, which limits their access to financing, market opportunities, and consumer trust. To address this issue, the Sahabat UMKM NTB Community, in collaboration with the government, organized a workshop focused on establishing Individual Limited Companies (PT Perseorangan). This initiative aimed to raise awareness about the importance of business legality, provide technical guidance on registration procedures, and offer hands-on assistance in obtaining legal business status. The program utilized socialization sessions, practical training, and continuous mentorship to support MSME actors in navigating the registration process via the DJAHU system. As a result, several MSMEs successfully obtained legal status, improving their credibility, access to financing, and market reach. This program underscores the significance of collaborative efforts between government, local communities, and technology in empowering MSMEs, enabling them to contribute more effectively to regional and national economic development.

Abstract

Globalisasi memberikan dampak signifikan dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan, yang tanpa disadari, telah membuat generasi muda lebih tertarik pada kesenian modern. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan seni dan budaya lokal menjadi sangat penting, sebagai bagian dari pelestarian kearifan lokal. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk membentuk generasi muda yang memiliki budi pekerti luhur, wawasan mengenai kearifan lokal, serta rasa cinta terhadap budaya lokal, sekaligus mendorong upaya pelestarian kebudayaan Sasak melalui pengenalan wayang Sasak di Pasraman Widya Sastra, Dusun Bengkoang, Desa Sokong, Kecamatan Tanjung, Lombok Utara. Metode yang diterapkan dalam kegiatan ini mencakup observasi, ceramah, dan pelatihan (workshop). Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa acara tersebut efektif dalam memperkenalkan seni dan budaya Sasak, khususnya wayang Sasak, kepada generasi muda melalui penggunaan media animasi, yang dipadukan dengan workshop mewarnai.
