Abstract

Each individual must have different motivation to learn, some are low, and some are high. Students' motivation to learn can be expressed from outside or within the individual. The result of low learning motivation is not being excited during the learning process. Low learning motivation can work for anyone. This problem occurs in 29 State Junior High School, Bandar Lampung students experience low learning motivation with characteristics such as chatting, sleeping, not paying attention while in the learning process. So it is necessary to increase the motivation to learn by using hypnotherapy. This study aims to reveal the effect of hypnotherapy on learning motivation, followed by students. This research is quantitative with a Quasi-Experimental research type, and One group pretest-posttest design research design. The results show the difference between before and after being given hypnotherapy. So it can be denied that hypnotherapy affects learning motivation in students. Hypnotherapy can arouse students' enthusiasm in learning and can suggest various positive things that aim to increase self-confidence, motivation, and a positive self-image.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of guidance and counseling services conducted by the counselor at SMA N 1 Pajangan in overcoming student cheating problems. Research conducted in this study uses qualitative methods with a descriptive approach. There are two data used in this study, namely primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques are used observation and interviews. The data analysis used was data reduction, data creation, and conclusions. The result of this study is counselors provide guidance and counseling services to overcome cheating behavior by collaborating with subject teachers. The services cover student experiences with motivation. The conclusion is the role of guidance and counseling teachers on students’ cheating habits is very good. There is a cooperation between counselors and subject teachers to be able to overcome this problem.

Abstract

Smartphone addiction is a phenomenon that readily occurs in adolescents and harms physical and mental development. One of the factors that influence the occurrence of smartphone addiction in adolescents is low self-esteem. The purpose of this study was to test the effectiveness of group counseling using self-instruction techniques to increase students' self-esteem and make them vulnerable to smartphone addiction. This study used a pre-test and post-test design from a random control group, involving 7 XII students majoring in fashion at SMK Negeri 1 Takengon. The data analysis technique used is repeated measurement analysis of variance. The results showed that the self-instruction technique group counseling can effectively increase the self-esteem of students who tend to be addicted to smartphones in Takengon City, Aceh

Abstract

Spirituality and religiosity can be assets for adolescent development. The purpose of this study is to describe the development of faith that occurs in adolescents. This research is a literature study, where the data required in this study were obtained through analysis of various literature. The results of the study can be explained that adolescents who are at the high school education level and aged 14-18 years are at level 3, namely synthetic-conventional faith. In this case, adolescents begin to develop formal operational thinking and begin to integrate learned faith values into a more rational faith system. For adolescents, this is an intellectual challenge to be able to become a foundation for understanding faith that will continue to develop in developing an understanding of faith in the future. This result implies the importance of guidance and counselling teachers to develop guidance and counselling programs that aim to help students achieve age-appropriate religious development.

Abstract

Students with high academic anxiety can cause a decrease in motivation to learn. This kind of situation will harm the learning achievement achieved by students. The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of social cognitive career theory on improving student career decision making. This study used a randomized experimental pretest-posttest control group design. A total of 16 students of VHS Boyolali were the subjects in this study. Selection of subjects using purposive sampling technique which is based on the criteria of low career decision-making ability, obtained from the score of career decision making scale. The data analysis technique used was the Wilcoxon test. The results of statistical tests show that there is an effect of social cognitive career theory on increasing student career decision making. The findings of this study prove that the social cognitive career theory is effective in improving student career decision making at VHS Boyolali.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the role of multiple intelligence on the career planning of students of SMK N 3 Klaten. This research uses qualitative research, with the type of field research (Field Research). The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique. The research subjects were students and teachers of guidance and counseling at SMK N 3 Klaten. Data collection techniques in this study using interviews, observation and documentation. The data validity test used data triangulation which was carried out before entering the field, during the field, and after finishing in the field. The results of the study, among others, show that multiple intelligence has an important role in supporting the career planning process of students of SMKN 3 Klaten, the multiple intelligence learning model plays a role in career guidance services carried out by Guidance and Counseling teachers at SMKN 3 Klaten as well as career guidance and counseling services based on characteristics. Multiple intelligence is expected to be an alternative for students of SMK N 3 Klaten in determining the direction of career planning.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has changed all systems of life, including those in the field of education. Online learning during a pandemic requires lecturers and students to learn new things that were never thought of before. Mastering technology and managing self-defence against various pressures during a pandemic are important for everyone to master. This study aims to measure the level of student resilience to online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. This survey was conducted by distributing resilience instruments in the form of google form to students throughout the island of Java, with a total of 483 students as respondents. As many as 483 respondents who filled out the student resilience questionnaire against the Covid-19 outbreak showed that 112 respondents responded positively to online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, 371 respondents stated a negative response to online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. Although the use of online learning models will continue with the times, it is hoped that the management of technology, pedagogy, and content in online learning can work together and provide students comfort in learning.

Abstract

Of happiness can arise from mindfulness because mindfulness creates clarity of consciousness, awareness that does not conceptualize and discriminate, awareness and flexible attention, can have an empirical stand against reality, consciously orientates towards the present, awareness and awareness that stable and sustainable. The purpose of this study was to examine the values contained in the teachings of Ki Ageng Suryomentaram to be applied as a counselling technique based on Indonesian culture. This research method uses a qualitative approach with the type of Gadamerian hermeneutics. The results of the research findings show that: (1) Mindfulness in this context helps to make individuals aware that happiness is not only about fulfilled desires but accepting themselves as they are and fostering an appreciation for moments that occur in life. (2) The compatibility between the technique of "ngudari reribed" and mindfulness lies in the goal of achieving a happy life. (3) Identification of the values contained in Ki Ageng Suryomentaram's discourse can be applied in the "ngudari reribed" counselling technique to increase mindfulness. Mindfulness will help a person feel at peace without worrying about the future and meditating on the past.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has also opened up opportunities on how career guidance services build roles in the wider community. Whereas in the world of work, globally everything has stopped, projects have been postponed, and workplaces have been closed indefinitely. This journal is a literature review that discusses career guidance and counseling services that are very important in an effort to help victims of layoffs that have occurred as well as workers in general. This problem can be solved through the career guidance function as a treatment to help individuals overcome career-related problems. The essence of the function of career guidance as a stimulus is the ability to anticipate all future possibilities and achieve career maturity. In the future, workers mindsets need to be changed through career guidance services in the form of knowledge assistance on how to manage finances. Through providing career guidance services as a form of treatment and stimulus, individuals will have self-motivation to rise from adversity and get new jobs that match their interests and expertise, find another source of income and to build passive income.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze development of gifted student’s elementary school at MI Pesantren Anak Sholeh Baitul Qur’an Gontor Ponorogo. This research uses a descriptive, qualitative approach. Data collection techniques using observation and interview techniques. Interviews were conducted with principals, teachers, guardians of students, and students. The data analysis technique was performed using an interactive model (Miles and Huberman), while the data validity test used data triangulation. The results show that the development of giftedness of student’s elementary school has been in line with the concept of the three rings of Renzulli, where the characteristics of gifted students at MI Pesantren Anak Sholeh Baitul Qur’an Gontor, including showing above-average ability, show commitment to the task. as enthusiasm, and involvement with a particular problem or area, self-confidence and desire, showing high creativity as fluency, flexibility, and authenticity in thinking, openness to experience, curiosity, and the courage to take steps.
