Abstract

Stress is a common mental health problem experienced by modern society due to the increasing demands of life, whether in education, work, family, or social environments. If not managed properly, stress can have various negative impacts on an individual's physical, psychological, social, and even spiritual condition. From an Islamic perspective, stress is understood not only as a psychological response to life's pressures but also as a test that is part of the human journey. Therefore, Islam offers various forms of spiritual approaches as stress management mechanisms, one of which is through prayer. This study aims to analyze the function of prayer in stress management from an Islamic perspective using library research methods. Data sources were obtained from books, scientific articles, and research findings discussing the relationship between prayer, mental health, and stress. The analysis was conducted using content analysis techniques through a process of data reduction, categorization, interpretation, and synthesis of various relevant concepts. The results of the study indicate that prayer has a multidimensional function in stress management. Prayer functions not only as a ritual obligation but also as a religious coping mechanism, a medium for emotional regulation, a means of physiological relaxation, a builder of psychological resilience, and a medium for strengthening the meaning of life. Devout prayer can reduce anxiety, increase inner peace, strengthen self-control, and help individuals develop adaptive responses to various life pressures. Thus, prayer can be understood as a form of spiritual psychotherapy that plays a significant role in maintaining the mental health of the Muslim community.

Abstract

Technological developments in the digital era require educational institutions, including Islamic boarding schools, to transform to remain relevant without losing their Islamic identity. This study aims to analyze in depth the design, implementation, and implications of the international Islamic boarding school curriculum based on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) at Rahmatan Lil 'Alamin International Islamic Boarding School (RLA IIBS) Solok, as well as to formulate a conceptual model design (alternative) for STEAM integration specifically in Fiqh learning. This research is a qualitative study with a case study approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. The collected data were analyzed qualitatively (data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions) and then synthesized into an alternative model design. The results of the study indicate that: (1) The design and implementation of the STEAM curriculum at RLA IIBS have been carried out as an adaptive response to the challenges of the digital era, but technical obstacles are still encountered in its complete integration into the religious sciences cluster; (2) Based on field findings and needs analysis, this study produces outputs in the form of a conceptual model design for the integration of Fiqh and STEAM. This alternative model was designed to improve the implementation of the Islamic boarding school curriculum so that it is more comprehensive, so that students not only master the latest science and technology, but also still have a deep understanding of religion (tafaqquh fiddin).

Abstract

Teacher professionalism is determined not only by the mastery of competencies but also by adherence to legal norms and the professional code of ethics. The rise in cases involving teachers such as the "Ms. Salsa" case, allegations of excessive student searches in Jember, and the involvement of students in public speaking/rally activities in East Tanjung Jabung highlights the importance of harmonizing the Indonesian Teacher Code of Ethics with Law Number 14 of 2005 concerning Teachers and Lecturers. This study aims to analyze the alignment between these two instruments and identify challenges regarding their implementation in the teaching profession in Indonesia. The research employs a normative legal method (doctrinal legal research) utilizing statutory, conceptual, and case-based approaches. Data were gathered through a literature review of legislation, professional codes of ethics, scholarly works, and relevant actual cases, followed by qualitative analysis using grammatical, systematic, and teleological interpretation. The findings indicate that, from a normative standpoint, the Indonesian Teacher Code of Ethics aligns with Law Number 14 of 2005 in affirming professionalism, integrity, student protection, and the moral responsibilities of teachers. However, certain aspects require strengthening, including the lack of uniform enforcement mechanisms for the code of ethics, suboptimal regulation of teacher ethics in the digital space, and weak coordination among law enforcement, employment disciplinary measures, and code of ethics enforcement. Therefore, it is necessary to update the code of ethics to adapt to technological advancements, strengthen integrated enforcement mechanisms, and foster professional ethics continuously to enhance teacher professionalism, legal certainty, and public trust in the education system. Abstract

The communication ethics in education contained in Surah Al-Kahf verses 60–70 are closely related to the story of the journey of Prophet Moses (Musa) and Al-Khidr. As the primary source of guidance for Muslims, the Qur'an not only contains teachings on faith and worship but also provides communication principles that are highly relevant to the educational process. The interaction between Prophet Moses and Al-Khidr illustrates a relationship between teacher and learner that is rich in ethical communication values, including respect, patience, humility, openness to knowledge, and the use of polite and educational language.This study employs a library research method using a thematic exegesis (maudhu'i) approach. The findings reveal several principles of communication ethics in education that can be implemented in the learning process, namely: (1) communication based on the intention to seek knowledge and truth; (2) humility (tawadhu') of learners toward educators; (3) patience in receiving and understanding knowledge; (4) the use of polite language that respects others; (5) the provision of explanations in a wise and gradual manner by educators; and (6) the importance of dialogue as a medium for knowledge transfer and character building. These values demonstrate that effective communication in education is not merely oriented toward the transmission of information but also toward the development of students' morals, character, and personality.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi yang pesat telah melahirkan era digital yang ditandai dengan melimpahnya informasi. Hal ini menuntut individu memiliki kemampuan literasi media yang baik untuk menyaring, menganalisis, dan mengevaluasi informasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konsep literasi media dalam perspektif Islam, mengidentifikasi nilai-nilai Islam yang relevan, serta merumuskan kerangka konseptual literasi media berbasis nilai-nilai Islam. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kajian pustaka dengan menganalisis berbagai sumber, termasuk Al-Quran, hadis, dan literatur terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Islam memiliki nilai-nilai yang relevan dengan literasi media, seperti kejujuran, keadilan, dan tanggung jawab. Konsep literasi media dalam perspektif Islam menekankan pentingnya mencari kebenaran, menghindari fitnah, dan menggunakan media untuk kebaikan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, disusun kerangka konseptual literasi media yang dapat menjadi pedoman dalam mengembangkan program-program literasi media yang berlandaskan nilai-nilai Islam.
