The study aimed at exploring the factors that influence sustainability initiatives globally. A systematic literature review was conducted using data bases such as EBSCO, EMERALD, Science Direct Scopus, Wiley Online and Google Schorlar resulting in 44 peer reviewed papers from 1990 to 2021. The study revealed diverse factors that influence sustainability, grouped into internal and external factors. A key factor that came to light in the review was the future embracement of state-of-the-art technology. Overall, the study provides important insights into the factors that can drive sustainability initiatives of MSMEs.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the comment features of the Skintific account on TikTok, a skincare brand that has gone viral on the platform, in order to identify positive comments that can influence sales. The data on comment are comments posted during the period of twin date, collected and analyzed qualitatively with a focus on classifying them according to the sentiment positive, neutral, and negative, and on identifying the main idea. The results show that most of the comments were positive, while some were neutral and only a small number were negative. The main idea were predominantly comments on product satisfaction and product effectiveness. Majority of positive comments related to the experience of using the product. The analysis also highlighted that neutral comments relate to the importance of interaction in particularly recommendations on product usage as an opportunity to increase consumer engagement and knowledge. For Skintific, understanding consumer sentiment and focusing on positive testimonials are the key in designing more effective marketing strategies that are responsive to consumers’ needs. In addition, addressing negative comments and spam is also necessary to maintain a positive brand image on the TikTok platform.

Abstract

Transformational Leadership at DLH has been applied but there is still no evidence that the application of transformational leadership at DLH Kota Surabaya can improve overall employee performance. This research aims to analyze the influence of competence and transformational leadership on employee performance through the role of motivation as an intervening variable using the SEM-PLS method on a sample of DLH Surabaya City employees. SEM-PLS is used because of its ability to obtain relationship results between variables. The results show good validity and reliability of the instrument. Motivation variables explain 47.6% of employee performance, while competence and transformational leadership explain 52% of motivation. In a case study at DLH Kota Surabaya, it was found that competence had a positive and significant effect on employee performance and motivation. Transformational leadership has a positive and significant effect on motivation but not employee performance. Motivation does not have a significant effect on employee performance and is not effective as a mediating variable between competence and performance, as well as transformational leadership and performance. Factors such as rigid bureaucratic structures and lack of effective training contributed to these findings. These findings are important for policy makers to develop more effective HR management and leadership strategies.

Abstract

Investment in financial market is inextricably linked to risk. The risk cannot be eliminated, but indeed it can be minimized. By using Markowitz model, investor can gain optimal result while taking on acceptable risk. This study intends to examine the findings of optimal portfolio construction using Markowitz model on IDX 30. The method was quantitative descriptive. The population was all companies listed on IDX 30. Then, there were three companies chosen as the sample. The investigation of the three stocks yielded two efficient portfolios. First were the stocks of PT Bank Negara Indonesia, Tbk. and PT Astra International. The second was stocks of PT Bank Negara Indonesia, Tbk. and PT Adaro Energy Indonesia, Tbk.  Each stock provided a return of 1.03 % with the risk level of 7.75%, and 4.4% with the risk level of 8.49%. The conclusion is that by using these two portfolios, investor can get optimal expected returns with the degree of risk comparable to individual equities. Thus, it is suggested for the investor to apply the calculation of Markowitz model on Indonesia Stock Exchange over a longer period than the one used in this study. It is also suggested for them to select the portfolio in accordance to their preferences.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to understand and analyze the impact of overconfidence bias and herding bias on the investment decisions of Generation Z. This research employs a survey method with a confirmatory approach. Data was collected from a sample of 104 respondents through questionnaires distributed via Google Form. Hypothesis testing was conducted using SEM Analysis with the assistance of SmartPLS 4.0 software. The results of the study indicate that overconfidence bias has a positive and significant influence on the investment decisions of Generation Z, while herding bias does not have a significant influence. Furthermore, this research reveals that the variables of overconfidence bias and herding bias can explain 45.4% of the variation in the investment decisions of Generation Z. However, it is important to acknowledge the limitations of this study, such as the relatively small number of respondents (only 104 respondents) and the absence of comparative analysis with demographic factors of other generational groups (e.g., older generations). This study is expected to provide deeper insights into the investment behavior of Generation Z and serve as a foundation for the development of wiser risk and financial management approaches for this demographic group.
