Abstract

The rapid development of hotel industry in Bali is very competitive, particularly on the growth of budget hotels in Kuta Tourism Area which has increased in significant amount. The key to maintain competitive advantage in the competitive environment lies in how to deliver service quality in order to achieve customer loyalty. The effect of service quality to customer loyalty increases with the role of image and customer satisfaction. This study was conducted in budget hotels in Kuta Tourism Area through 200 respondents. The results of this study showed that service quality, hotel image, and customer satisfaction have a positive and significant effect toward customer loyalty. Hotel image and customer satisfaction are as well stated as a mediator in the service quality and customer loyalty relationship. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap motivasi dan kinerja karyawan.  Penelitian ini menguji tiga hipotesis  yaitu: (1)  Gaya kepemimpinan transformasional berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan; (2) Gaya kepemimpinan transformasional berpengaruh signifikan terhadap motivasi karyawan dan (3) Motivasi karyawan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan.  Penelitian ini  mengambil sampel sebanyak 62 responden. Sedangkan teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif, analisis factor,  dan analisis jalur (path analysis). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) ada pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara  kepemimpinan transformasional dengan kinerja karyawan; (2) ada pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara kepemimpinan transformasional dengan motivasi karyawan; (3) ada pengaruh positif signifikan  antara motivasi karyawan dengan kinerja karyawan. Beberapa saran yang perlu disampaikan adalah untuk memperkuat kepemimpinan transformasional, perlu ditingkatkan  kemampuan bawahan untuk menangani masalah dalam pekerjaan, meningkatkan kepercayaan bawahan terhadap keputusan yang dibuat pemimpin.  Peningkatan  motivasi karyawan dilakukan dengan transparansi kebijakan dalam penentuan imbalan. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah adanya pengaruh tidak langsung antara kepemimpinan transformasional dengan kinerja karyawan melalui motivasi kerja. Kata Kunci :   Kepemimpinan Transformasional, Motivasi, Kinerja Karyawan. Abstract This study aimed to determine the effect of transformational leadership on employee motivation and performance. Tested three hypotheses: (1 ) a significant effect of transformational leadership to employee performance, (2 ) a significant effect of transformational leadership to the employees motivation , and ( 3 ) employee motivation is directly significant effect on employee performance. This study using  62 employees  as sample. The data analysis technique used  descriptive analysis, factor analysis,  and path analysis. The conclusion of this study were: ( 1 ) there is a positive and significant effect between transformational leadership with employee performance, (2 ) there is a positive and significant effect between transformational leadership and motivation of employees, (3 ) there is a significant positive effect between employee motivation to employee performance. Some suggestions that need to be addressed to strengthen the transformational leadership is necessary to improve the ability of subordinates to deal with problems at work , improving confidence in the decisions made subordinate by the leader. Improved employee motivation do with the policy of transparency in the determination of benefits and reward system. The implication of this study is the indirect effect between transformational leadership with the work performance of employees through employee motivation. Abstract

A firm value is a particular condition which has been achieved by a company as an overview of society belief of firm that has through a process of activities for several years, namely since the company was established until the present. This research aims to examine the effect of managerial ownership, investment decisions, financing decisions, and dividend policy on the firm value in Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2009 until 2012. The selecting sample method is using purposive sampling thus obtained 35 firms of the sample total number within 128 observations. This data is analyzed by using a multiple linear regression analysis. Meanwhile the regression model has been examined by a classical assumption of regression analysis. In conclusion the analysis result showed that the investment decision and financing decision affect the firm value however, managerial ownership and dividend policy do not affect the firm value.
