Abstract

The community of Islamic economic activists in Surakarta and surrounding areas is committed to advancing the sharia economy. They form a community to carry out discussions and outreach studies to increase Islamic economic literacy. Financial literacy in general or mainly in Islamic economics is still very low in Indonesian society, so it requires significant efforts to increase literacy through outreach activities. Murabahah contract is the most common contract widely used in Islamic economic activities by Islamic financial institutions, banking, and microfinance. This outreach activity aims to increase the knowledge of the community of Islamic economic activists in Surakarta and its surroundings regarding the study of the fatwa on murabahah contracts and current issues related to one of the muamalah contracts. Contract problems and disputes that occur in the relationship of Islamic financial institutions with customers or customers are also dominated by Murabahah contracts. Murabahah contract is also a contract with a nominal amount of transactions large enough to take the form of a sharia financing syndicate with a Murabahah contract. This counseling activity suggests that every party involved in a murabahah contract is obliged and needs to uphold what has been contracted.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the phenomenon in the field about the description of the comparison of risk management strategies between murabahah financing and mudharabah financing from the BMT side. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods, through data collection methods in the form of interviews. The researcher interviewed 9 respondents who have experience in dealing with the risks of murabahah financing and mudharabah financing at BMT. This study shows risk mitigation efforts so that risks do not occur in both contracts, namely BMT tightens the selection stage because in both contracts BMT must measure the level of business risk of its members in calculating profits or in returning funds so as not to have the opportunity to harm both parties and the financial statements must also be transparent. This study also suggests that in murabahah financing and mudharabah financing, BMT must strictly apply the precautionary and appropriate principles to maintain institutional health in order to minimize the risks that occur. This research is expected to be a reference for BMT in terms of innovative strategies to overcome the risks of mudharabah and murabahah financingRisk Management, Murabaha Financing, Mudhrabah Financing, Islamic Microfinance Institutions (BMT)

Abstract

Intellectual Property (IP) protection in Indonesia remains primarily oriented toward individual and capitalist interests, thereby failing to reflect the values of distributive justice fully. This research aims to analyze Geographical Indications (GIs) as an instrument of economic justice from the perspective of Maqāṣid al-Sharī‘ah. The study employs a normative legal research method, utilizing both conceptual and legislative approaches. Data were gathered through a literature review of primary, secondary, and tertiary legal sources, which were then analyzed qualitatively to examine the relationship between the principles of positive law and the values of Maqāṣid al-Sharī‘ah. The findings indicate that the principles of Maqāṣid al-Sharī‘ah, such as hifz al-mal (protection of property), hifz al-nafs (protection of life), and hifz al-'aql (protection of intellect), provide a strong philosophical foundation for the reconstruction of a just and inclusive IP system. GIs' protection not only provides legal recognition of product origins but also serves as an instrument for the economic empowerment of local communities and the equitable distribution of financial benefits. Incorporating Sharia values into IP policies can broaden the moral, social, and ecological dimensions of a sustainable creative economy. This research recommends reformulating national IP policies by incorporating the principles of Maqāṣid al-Sharī‘ah, strengthening the role of producer communities in GIs governance, and fostering quadruple-helix collaboration among government, academia, industry, and communities. In this way, GIs can serve as an instrument of economic justice and contribute to achieving sustainable development goals.

Abstract

This research details the Qardhul Hasan funding, administration, and assessment system. Six respondents were interviewed for this study, four from BMT Bina Umat Mandiri (managers, DPS members, secretaries, and customer service) and two from other customers. This research found that Qardhul Hasan is funded from Zakat, Infaq, Alms, Member Savings, and the Remaining Operating Results. Furthermore, most people who apply for this type of funding are in the education and trading sectors. Based on our analysis, the weaknesses of this financing lie in the distribution of human resources and the scarcity of available cash; To address these issues, we propose surveying consumers to collect reliable data and encourage individuals to save more proactively. Qardhul Hasan has a severe money shortage, but member savings are steadily growing and might help alleviate the crisis. While this funding can be used to serve others, oppose usury institutions, and please Allah. BMT Bina Umat Mandiri's follow-up plan involves employing member savings to create and enhance the quantity of cash for supporting Qardhul Hasan, expanding its reach in its mission to aid people. Management studies reveal that Qardhul Hasan funding at BMT Bina Umat Mandiri is not being redistributed to company capital but is being used to reduce the financial burden of healthcare and education on the local population.
