Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to determine the potential that Ngada Regency has as a Muslim minority area in developing halal tourism, as well as the efforts that must be made to support this potential so that it can be applied. Research Methodology: The research method used is descriptive qualitative research. Primary data sources were obtained through interviews with fourteen respondents, including; the Indonesian Ulema Council of Ngada Regency, the Ministry of Islamic Religion of Ngada Regency, the Ngada Regency Tourism Office, Islamic religious leaders, and local Muslim tourists. Results: The results of this study show that Ngada Regency has the opportunity to implement halal tourism, judging from the tourism potential it has, including; marine parks of 17 islands, beaches, mountains, hills, waterfalls, craters, hot springs, and traditional villages. The available tourist attractions are the main attractions and characteristics that distinguish Ngada Regency from other districts in East Nusa Tenggara. Then, judging from the enthusiasm of local Muslim tourists visiting tourist destinations, Ngada Regency has the opportunity to implement halal tourism. However, the facilities and infrastructure available in tourist destinations and lodging places must follow halal tourism principles. Limitations: This study has limited data coverage in an Eastern Indonesia region that has a Muslim minority demographic. Contributions: The study is the first to examine the potential of halal tourism in eastern Indonesia with the condition of the Muslim minority population. Novelty: This study makes a valuable contribution to the study of the development of halal tourism in eastern Indonesia, which has a Muslim minority demographic.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with the largest Muslim population in the world and has extraordinary potential in the amount and assets of Islamic microfinance and can be a reference for the application of Islamic Microfinance in other countries. The purpose of this study was to review the problems in murabaha financing at Islamic Microfinance Institution (IMFI) and the treatments. The approach used was a qualitative analysis of Indonesian literature studies about the specific type of murabaha financing with content analysis and thematic analysis techniques. This study found that internal and external factors caused problematic murabaha financing in BMT. Internal factors include the inaccuracy of BMT in 5C (Character, Capacity, Capital, Collateral, and Condition), lack of supervision, procedures violations, facilities and infrastructure, and lack of human resources (HR). Meanwhile, external factors include bad customers, unexpected circumstances of customers, lack of customer income, inflation, and government policies. The actions done by the BMTs to overcome problematic murabaha financing were by implementing BMT guidelines for prospective customers, preventing and repressive supervising, applying a democratic leadership style, applying fines, rescheduling, restructuring and reconditioning write off, auction of collateral, and legal actions. This study recommends strengthening financing selection by improving human resource skills and also variations in handling murabaha financing with a humanist approach.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of revenue sharing on the results of mudharabah and musyarakah financing on Return On Investment (ROI) at PT. Bukopin Sharia Bank 2011-2020. Islamic banks have two financing principles: profit sharing (mudharabah) and profit-sharing (musharaka). This study uses the Partial Adjustment Model (PAM) research method. The population in this study is Islamic banking which is included in the group of Islamic Commercial Banks. The sample used in this study is Bukopin Sharia Bank and is sourced from data from the Bukopin Sharia Bank's annual financial report data. The data used in this study uses secondary data, namely data obtained indirectly from the source in the form of data on the annual financial statements of Bank Syariah Bukopin taken from the official website www.syariahbukopin.co.id. From the research that has been done, the results show that the mudharabah and musyarakah financing variables have a positive effect on Return On Investment (ROI). Based on the results of this study, it is expected that Islamic banking will further increase mudharabah and musyarakah financing. These two products are the hallmarks of Islamic banks, namely profit sharing, because they can affect the rate of return on investment.

Abstract

This study aims to explore perceptions of the comparative advantage of mudharabah and murabahah financing from the customer side of Islamic microfinance institutions. This study uses an approach using field data in the case study of BMT Alfa Dinar, Karanganyar, Central Java, Indonesia. The data in this study were obtained from 10 customers or customers of murabahah and mudharabah financing, which were taken directly using observation, question and answer, and documentation techniques. The collected data is then analyzed in terms of content, abstracted, and presented. The results of this study are that customers have different perceptions about the advantages of mudharabah and murabahah financing. This perception is seen from various perspectives, including risk, margin, transparency period, and work system. Mudharabah has the advantage of being more reliable than Murabaha. Meanwhile, Murabaha has the advantage of fixed profits or tends to be stable, and if agreed, it cannot be changed. This Murabaha contract is different from the mudharabah, whose profits tend to be unstable. This study recommends increasing business management literacy with mudharabah contract financing to maximize the benefits of Islamic microfinance institutions and customers.

Abstract

This research is comprehensively investigating the mechanism of gold trading at the Tokopedia Gold site from an Islamic law perspective. This research further explains the Islamic views on the gold trade in retail through an online site. Two methods were used in completing this research; a qualitative descriptive method on the observation of the trading and library research. Upon supporting the research, three interviews with related customers are approached. Reviewing the terms and conditions of purchasing a product from Tokopedia Gold and literature review methods have also been taken into consideration. The paper found that the practice of purchasing gold through Tokopedia Gold is a full-payment purchase and avoiding the instalment method which might be against Islamic law. The research found that there is an existence of gharar when the purchaser does not possess the gold physically and does not know the existence of the gold. This paper recommends that the specifications of gold must be specified by a seller and spreading the knowledge of gold trading from an Islamic perspective.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of BSI's CSR programs to support economic recovery post-pandemic, and identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in implementing its programs. The method used for this research is a qualitative method that presents actual data according to conditions in the field by direct interviews with associated parties. The study results show that BSI has set a strategy to optimize its CSR program, one of which is by focusing on empowering MSMEs. In Indonesia, MSMEs are considered the main factor for accelerating economic recovery. In its implementation, CSR at BSI indeed encounters supporting factors as well as inhibiting factors. The supporting factor is the existence of an ecosystem in implementing CSR programs, to which many parties contribute. The obstacles encountered were the lack of public understanding and education of CSR programs.

Abstract

Consumption behaviour is part of human life's needs, which are also regulated in Islam. However, the phenomenon of the emergence of Islamic economics has not completely changed people's consumption behaviour to be more in line with Islamic teachings. This research aims to determine the consumption behaviour of millennial homemakers in Pacitan and its suitability in terms of Al-Ghazali's consumption theory. This study used a case study in Pacitan by interviewing 20 informants in depth from various literature related to consumption behaviour in Islam. The research results show that their consumption behaviour always prioritizes fulfilling primary needs in the form of food, shelter, clothing, education and health. When faced with a choice between needs and desires, desires will be fulfilled after primary needs are met. Apart from that, they also always use halal assets and goods and make plans to save for their children's education costs or if there is a sudden need. However, a group of millennial housewives are still wasteful and stingy and have not paid zakat and alms as a form of concern for the surrounding environment. This research is an initial study revealing the study of people's consumption behaviour based on Islamic economic thinkers. The study can be a reference for studying Islamic consumption behaviour for academics and improving people's consumption behaviour.
