Abstract

PDAM Belinyu currently has water quality that has not yet reached the standard. Therefore, a measuring instrument is needed to monitor the pH value, temperature, and water turbidity. This study aims to make it easier for PDAM employees to check the IoT-based pH, temperature, and turbidity values of water. The method used in this research is data collection, block diagram design, testing, and data analysis. Based on the tests that have been carried out, the percentage error on the pH sensor sample 1 is 0.000457671% and sample 2 is 0.068227799%, the percentage error on the temperature sensor is 0.7699637% and the average data on the clean water turbidity sensor is 0, 6 NTU and cloudy water of 25.8 NTU.

Abstract

Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is a wireless network infrastructure that uses sensors to monitor physical or environmental conditions such as temperature, sound, vibration, electromagnetic waves, pressure, movement, and others. In this study, considerations were made in choosing the nrf24l01+LA+PA component, namely how far the data transmission distance was sent. The value measurement uses the mpu-6050 sensor as data sent via nrf24l01+LA+PA. With the accuracy of the values ​​issued by the mpu-6050 sensor. In testing the tool using two scenarios so that there are differences in environmental conditions and the distance traveled.

Abstract

The ball balance robot is one of the dynamic balancing robots. This robot must be actively controlled to stabilize it so that it remains balanced perpendicular to 0˚ above the ball on the ground or floor. The control system used is the PID control system. The tests carried out include sensor testing, motor testing, robot response testing, and the implementation of the PID control system on the robot. Of the various tuning methods tested on the robot, the manual tuning method gives the robot a slightly longer fall time of 320ms, compared to other methods, namely Ziegler-Nichlos=70ms, CHR Overshoot 0%=170ms, CHR Overshoot 20%=160ms, and Cohen-Coon =150ms. Overall data processing is processed by the Arduino Mega2560 microcontroller which receives angle readings from the MPU6050 sensor as input and actuation on the stepper motor as output for balancing on the robot.

Abstract

The increasing number of vehicles in urban areas has led to serious parking space issues, particularly in shopping centers, office complexes, and university campuses. The difficulty in locating vacant parking spots contributes to traffic congestion, fuel waste, and higher exhaust emissions. This study develops a parking lot monitoring system based on the Internet of Things (IoT), which detects vehicle presence in each parking slot in real time using sensors. The availability of parking spaces is displayed digitally, allowing drivers to find vacant spots without circling around. This system also enhances parking management efficiency by enabling centralized and automated monitoring of parking conditions. Implementation results show that the system effectively improves space utilization and significantly reduces the time required to find a parking spot.

Abstract

The Internet of Things (IoT) allows the integration of hardware with internet networks for remote control and regulation. IoT is a technology that allows various devices to connect and communicate with each other over the internet, thus enabling efficient automation. This research develops a Smarthome application called EDITH that operates based on IoT. The app allows control of the lighting device through a smartphone with additional features such as scheduling, energy monitoring, and usage history. The system uses the NodeMCU ESP32 as a microcontroller that is integrated with the Adafruit.io server. The test results show that EDITH can function effectively in controlling the lights remotely, with a user satisfaction rate of 84%.

Abstract

The 79.93% growth of the urban population and the decline of agricultural land in Indonesia demand efficient, sustainable agricultural solutions. Aquaponics systems traditionally require intensive manual monitoring of environmental parameters such as pH, temperature, and nutrient levels, which is impractical for time-constrained urban farming. Conventional approaches face several constraints, including delayed detection of critical parameter changes, the risk of human error in manual sensor readings, inconsistent maintenance schedules, and the mobility limitations of users who must always be physically present on-site. This research aims to design and implement an integrated Internet of Things (IoT)-based aquaponics system with an Android mobile application as a solution to overcome these limitations through real-time remote monitoring and control. The Extreme Programming (XP) method was used to support rapid iteration and active user involvement in system development. The system was built using pH, temperature, nutrient, and water level sensors, along with an automatic fish feeder, connected to an Arduino Mega and ESP32. Data is transmitted to Firebase and displayed via a Kotlin-based Android application. Black-box testing confirmed the system's 100% validity for all functions (login, real-time monitoring, actuator control, and history). Sensor accuracy testing showed success rates between 94.40% and 99.54%, proving the system operates stably and accurately for remote monitoring, making it an innovative, digitally-managed aquaponics solution that successfully addresses all limitations of conventional systems
