Abstract

Melihat hasil observasi awal terhadap para siswa-siswa di SMP Negeri 23 Kota Tangerang Selatan, teridentifikasi bahwa kecakapan berbahasa Inggris mereka, baik speaking maupun listening masih perlu peningkatan. Banyak permasalahan yang dihadapi dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris pada mereka, salah satu diantaranya yaitu kurangnya informasi mengenai akses ke pemanfaatan teknologi digital untuk meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa Inggris. Solusi yang ditawarkan dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah pemberian pelatihan dan pembelajaran tentang pemanfaatan teknologi sebagai media pembelajaran interaktif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan speaking dan listening bahasa inggris, kepada siswa-siswa di lingkungan SMPN 23 Tangsel, dengan pemanfaatan media pembelajaran yang bernama CAKE. Para siswa didorong untuk mengekpresikan kemampuan bahasa Inggrisnya, dengan memberikan pre- test lebih dahulu sebelum memberikan materi, kemudian diberikan post-test sesudahnya untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan speaking dan listening setelah menggunakan aplikasi tersebut. Diharapkan ilmu yang diperoleh dari kegiatan kepada masyarakat ini akan mampu memberikan semangat baru dalam belajar bahasa Inggris.

Abstract

TOEFL, Test of English as a Foreign Language, merupakan tes standar yang banyak digunakan tidak hanya di dunia pendidikan tetapi juga di bidang lain seperti dunia kerja. Banyak instansi, baik negeri maupun swasta, yang mewajibkan pencari kerja memiliki sertifikat ini. Tes TOEFL terdiri dari tiga bagian yang menguji peserta, yaitu pemahaman mendengarkan, struktur, dan menulis, serta pemahaman membaca. Kegiatan PkM bertajuk “Pelatihan Prediksi TOEFL Fokus Pemahaman Membaca bagi Anggota Dialektika Institute” ini dilaksanakan berdasarkan hasil analisis permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra terkait tes TOEFL. Berdasarkan hasil analisis situasi, terdapat dua permasalahan utama yang dihadapi mitra. Permasalahan mitra yang pertama berkaitan dengan aspek pengetahuan dimana masih banyak mitra yang belum memahami kompetensi yang diujikan pada sesi Reading Comprehension. Selain itu, mitra juga mengalami kendala terkait keterampilan. Mitra belum mengetahui cara mengidentifikasi jenis pertanyaan dan teknik menjawabnya. Oleh karena itu, dalam pelatihan ini mitra akan diajarkan cara mengidentifikasi pertanyaan dan teknik menjawabnya. Pelatihan ini akan dibagi menjadi empat kegiatan. Kegiatan pertama adalah pre-test untuk mengukur kemampuan mitra sebelum dilatih. Kegiatan kedua adalah penyampaian materi sebagai cara mengatasi permasalahan pasangan. Kegiatan ketiga adalah latihan, dimana mitra akan diminta mengerjakan soal-soal latihan. Kegiatan terakhir adalah post test untuk mengukur kinerja mitra setelah mendapat pelatihan.

Abstract

The effectiveness of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) method compared to conventional methods was evaluated at SDN Sekemandung 1. The importance of this topic lies in the urgent need for more effective mathematics teaching methods, given the challenges and difficulties often faced by students in this subject at the elementary school level. The research was conducted from February to March during the 2023/2024 academic year using a Quasi-Experimental design, involving two groups: Class VA as the experimental group using RME and Class VB as the control group using conventional methods, each consisting of 29 students. Mathematics learning outcomes were assessed through tests measuring students' understanding before and after the method's implementation. The study found that the average score for the experimental class was 85.34, while the control class scored 79.48, with a significant difference indicating the superiority of RME. This analysis suggests that the RME method is significantly more effective in improving mathematics learning outcomes at the elementary level compared to conventional methods, and it is recommended for broader application to enhance the quality of mathematics education.

Abstract

The family as one of system support for schizophrenia treatment in the primary care setting has been a challenge in integrating family services into mental health. This study aimed to review the urgent of family involvement during the treatment of schizophrenia in health mental services using the Family-Centered Care approach. A systematic review was performed using the population, intervention, comparison, outcome, study design (PICOS) framework within Scopus (27 articles), ProQuest (151 articles), Science Direct (93 articles), EBSCO (124 articles), and Springer (149 articles) published databases in the last five years using the keywords of “Family- Centered Care, nursing, AND Schizophreni*”. The articles were empirical quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods studies published within 2017- 2021 where study participants were clinically diagnosed with schizophrenia and intervention approaches were within the scope of family involvement. Twenty-four articles met the inclusion criteria for review. Evidence supports a professionally engaged relationship between patients, families, and providers with open knowledge exchange, communication, and collaboration. Family-centered care requires empathy, understanding, respect, and empowerment to choose, control decisions, and empower in the treatment of schizophrenia. This study concludes the importance of family involvement in the treatment of schizophrenia from the start. Health care providers help families through the admissions process.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of ease of use, service features, usefulness, trust, and risk on the interest in using the LinkAja Syariah e-wallet in Banjarmasin City. This study uses a quantitative research method. By using purposive sampling from E-Wallet transaction users in responding to challenges in digital economic transactions. The sampling method uses a purposive sampling technique. So that a sample of 100 respondents was obtained. Analysis of the data obtained using hypothesis analysis to determine the effect of ease of use, service features, usefulness, trust, security, and risk on E-Wallet service features. Based on the research results 1) ease of use (X1) does not have a significant effect on the interest in using the LinkAja Syariah e-wallet, obtaining a sig. value of 0.368>0.05. 2) service features (X2) have a significant effect on the interest in using the LinkAja Syariah e-wallet by obtaining a sig. value of 0.024<0.05. 3) usefulness (X3) does not have a significant effect on the interest in using the LinkAja Syariah e-wallet, obtaining a sig. value of 0.107>0.05. 4) trust (X4) does not have a significant effect on the interest in using the LinkAja Syariah e-wallet, obtaining a sig. value of 0.710>0.05. 5) security (X5) has a significant effect on the interest in using the LinkAja Syariah e-wallet by obtaining a sig. value of 0.000<0.05. and 6) Risk (X6) has no significant influence on the interest in using the LinkAja Syariah e-wallet by obtaining a sig. value of 0.372>0.05. The findings of this study show that E-wallet transactions play a very important role in meeting community needs.

Abstract

Currently, grade I students sometimes find it difficult to understand the learning material. According to the researcher, this is because students at this age have not been confronted directly with real or contextual things. Moreover, seeing the characteristics of 1st grade elementary school children is a concrete operation, which must be faced with something real. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of flashcard media in improving the memory skills of grade 1 students of SD Islam Terpadu Insan Mulia in learning the Al-Qur'an Hadith material "Huruf Hijaiyah" for the 2022/2023 academic year. The research method used is descriptive quantitative by conducting classroom action research. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that there is an increase in each cycle, starting from the pre-cycle which is only 40%, then increasing in the first cycle as much as 65% and in the second cycle as much as 85%, which means that this flashcard media has an effect on increasing students' memory skills in the hijaiyah letter material. . This is in accordance with research conducted by Titin (2018)

Abstract

This study aims to explain the use of media images in teaching Indonesian storytelling for class III elementary school students and improve students' storytelling skills. In this study, the theory of Djunaidi & Fauzan (2012) was used. This study uses a qualitative method that is descriptive, this research will explain the facts and characteristics factually and carefully which will later be drawn conclusions. Participants in this study consisted of 25 students and 1 teacher. In this study, data were collected by observation, tests and interviews. The results of the study showed that learning using picture media was proven to be able to improve students' storytelling abilities in class III Indonesian language learning at SD Plus Babussalam. The increase in students' storytelling ability can be seen from the observation results which increased several points and the test results which experienced an increase. Apart from observations and tests, the results of the interviews also show that the use of media images can attract students' attention so that the ability to tell stories also increases.

Abstract

According to the researchers, this is because students at this age have not been confronted directly with things that are real or contextual. Moreover, seeing the characteristics of grade 1 elementary school children is concrete operational, that is, they must be confronted with something real. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of visual media on students' motivation in the material "Knowing the names of objects" at SD Plus Babussalam in the 2022/2023 school year. The research method used is quantitative description by conducting classroom action research. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, questionnaires and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the effect of visual media on the material of knowing the names of objects for grade 1 SD Plus Babussalam, 90% of students agree that learning using visual media greatly influences student learning motivation.

Abstract

Tingginya angka stunting di Indonesia salah satunya disebabkan oleh rendahnya pengetahuan ibu tentang gizi dan praktik pengasuhan anak. Kelas Ibu Balita dan Ibu Hamil (LASTAMIL) menjadi program edukasi kesehatan berbasis komunitas dengan pendekatan literasi kesehatan yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan perilkau ibu terkait pencegahan stunting serta penanganan perilaku picky eating pada anak. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kasus menggunakan pendekatan Precede-Proceed dalam asuhan keperawatan komunitas. Sampel diambil secara purposive dari satu RW di Kota Semarang, terdiri dari 3 ibu hamil dan 26 ibu dengan anak berisiko stunting. Intervensi dilakukan selama empat minggu melalui edukasi stunting, pengisian "Isi Piringku", dan praktik pengelolaan picky eating. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner pengkajian komunitas dan wawancara pada tokoh Masyarakat terkait di komunitas. Analisis masalah mengacu pada Standar Diagnosis Keperawatan Indonesia (SDKI) dan rencana intervensi disusun berdasarkan pedoman perencanaan asuhan keperawatan komunitas. Data evaluasi dikumpulkan dengan kuesioner serta observasi perilaku. Hasil implementasi keperawatan menunjukkan peningkatan skor rata-rata pengetahuan ibu mengenai stunting dari 3,6 menjadi 4, serta pengetahuan tentang penanganan picky eating dari 4,1 menjadi 4,3. Edukasi juga meningkatkan pemahaman ibu terkait gizi seimbang dan langkah pencegahan selama 1000 Hari Pertama Kehidupan. Program LASTAMIL terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kapasitas ibu untuk mencegah stunting melalui pendekatan edukatif dan praktis, serta dapat menjadi model intervensi keperawatan komunitas yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This community service program aims to improve the financial literacy and financial management skills of micro and small business (MSME) actors in Kertomulyo Village, Brangsong District, Kendal Regency. The main issues faced by local residents include limited access to formal financial institutions and a lack of understanding of business financial planning. The activity was held on November 19, 2024, using both classical and individual approaches, including lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on practice. Training materials covered budgeting, identifying funding sources, setting profit targets, and evaluating financial plans. A total of 60 MSME participants actively took part in the training. The results show increased participant understanding of basic financial management concepts, although further assistance is still needed by some. This activity demonstrates that practical-based training is effective in improving MSME financial capabilities and can serve as a replicable model for other regions facing similar challenges.
