Abstract

The Workshop on Strengthening Merdeka Curriculum Instructional Modules at SMA Negeri 1 Sajingan aims to enhance teachers' ability to develop instructional modules in line with the principles of the Merdeka Curriculum. This workshop is expected to improve the quality of teaching, strengthen teachers' competencies, and support educational development at SMA Negeri 1 Sajingan. Located in the Sajingan Besar district of Sambas, West Kalimantan, SMA Negeri 1 Sajingan is uniquely positioned near the Indonesia-Malaysia border. Through this workshop, the PKM team intends to provide valuable experience, share knowledge, and strengthen teachers' understanding of the Merdeka Curriculum instructional modules. The workshop is conducted using both individual and classical approaches. The classical approach is used for delivering theoretical content on instructional modules, while the individual approach is applied during hands-on module creation exercises. Preparation and authorization for this workshop took place in April 2024 at SMA Negeri 1 Sajingan, with the participants being the school's teachers. In the context of the Merdeka Curriculum, developing high-quality instructional modules is crucial for enhancing teacher professionalism, improving teaching skills, and boosting the overall quality of education. Well-designed instructional modules can aid teachers in creating lessons that meet students' needs and adhere to the Merdeka Curriculum principles. Therefore, this workshop is expected to positively contribute to improving educational quality at SMA Negeri 1 Sajingan and support the effective implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

The aim of writing this thesis is to determine the implementation of "Gender Roles in Punguan Borsak Mangatasi Nababan in Pontianak City". There are several objectives in this research, namely to find out how; implementation of gender roles, namely in the public sector/productive activities, the domestic sector/reproductive activities, and the community sector/social activities. The research method used is a descriptive method in the form of qualitative research. Data collection techniques in this research are through interviews, observation and documentation, while the data collection tools used are observation guides, interview guides and documentation tools in the form of smartphones. The analysis in this research is presented in a qualitative descriptive manner using 2 pairs of informants. The research results show that (1) the implementation of gender roles in the public sector/productive activities is demonstrated by the existence of an agreement between husband and wife in earning a living, especially the husband as head of the family to give freedom to the wife in participating in earning a living to increase family income, (2) implementation of gender roles in the domestic sector/reproductive activities, shown by the cooperation between husband and wife in carrying out household tasks, (3) implementation of gender roles in the community sector/social activities shown by the attitude of husband and wife who still maintain mutual ties with each other. neighbors, and an enthusiastic attitude to participate in every series of events or activities held in certain groups or organizations that the husband and wife have participated in.

Abstract

Mechanical progress can be felt both directly and indirectly. Recently, electronic games or what we usually call web-based games have experienced very rapid development. The main objective of this exploration is to understand changes in the behavior of the younger generation who use free fire games in Peniti, Sekadau Region, Sekadau Regime. This examination uses a subjective exploration strategy and the information gathering methods used are perception, meetings and documentation studies. The resource persons in this exploration are teenagers who play web-based games, guardians and educators. As a result of the exploration and discussions carried out by the creator, it is assumed that the way of behaving using web-based games by the younger generation makes teenagers have a positive and pessimistic way of behaving, more specifically the pessimistic way of behaving of teenagers who play internet games such as fixation, ignoring actual practice and become a protester. Apart from negative changes, web-based games also provide positive social changes such as preparatory fixation abilities, expansion of jargon abilities in English, further development of PC abilities, and preparation of the ability to work together in groups. Web-based games are mostly used for entertainment, but what happens is that online games are played unreasonably, causing social changes in the younger generation

Abstract

Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran Sosiologi melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning pada siswa kelas XI SMA Santun Untan Pontianak. Penelitian ini dilakukan SMA Santun Untan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 30 orang siswa. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan model siklus penelitian dari Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan melalui empat tahap yaitu perencanaan tindakan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi/evaluasi dan refleksi sebagai dasar perencanaan ulang untuk penelitian selanjutnya. Pada siklus I, kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran Sosiologi yang mendapat nilai keterampilan ≥75 sebanyak 14 orang siswa atau dengan presentase sebesar 46%. Pada siklus II ini telah mengalami peningkatan dengan memperoleh hasil kemampuan berpikir kritis dalam pembelajaran Sosiologi yang mendapat nilai ≥75 sebanyak 22 orang siswa atau dengan presentase sebesar 76%. Implikasi dari penelitian tindakan kelas ini adalah bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas XI SMA Santun Untan dalam pembelajaran Sosiologi dapat meningkat dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning di dalam proses pembelajarannya.

Abstract

Kawasan perbatasan Indonesia-Malaysia seperti Kecamatan Entikong menghadapi tantangan dalam peningkatan mutu pendidikan akibat keterbatasan infrastruktur, fasilitas sarana dan prasarana serta pelatihan bagi guru. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan pemahaman guru terhadap pendekatan Deep Learning untuk meningkatkan kompetensi pedadogik mereka sebagai guru perbatasan. Mitra kegiatan adalah guru-guru yang tergabung dalam PGRI Kecamatan Entikong sebanyak 32 orang. Kegiatan pengabdian ini menggunakan metode pelatihan klasikal. Secara spesifik, pelatihan ini menggunakan metode ceramah dan diskusi interaktif. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test untuk mengukur pemahaman peserta. Sementara teknik observasi, wawancara, dan penyebaran angket digunakan sebagai umpan balik. Hasil tes menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan: skor rata-rata pre-test sebesar 64,1 meningkat menjadi 86,9 pada post-test, dengan tingkat kelulusan meningkat dari 50% menjadi 100%. Selain itu, umpan balik peserta menunjukkan skor kepuasan rata-rata 3,8 dari skala 5 atau sebesar 76%, menunjukkan respon positif terhadap materi dan pelaksanaan pengabdian. Peserta juga menunjukkan keterlibatan aktif selama pelaksanaan pengabdian berlangsung. Tantangan utama berupa keterbatasan waktu dan sarana pelatihan, namun dapat diatasi melalui strategi penyampaian materi yang aplikatif dan relevan. Dampak jangka panjang diharapkan mendorong perubahan praktik pembelajaran yang lebih bermakna dan adaptif terhadap tantangan lokal. Kegiatan ini memperkuat kontribusi akademik dosen terhadap dunia pendidikan di wilayah 3T dan mendukung implementasi pendekatan Deep Learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pelaksanaan pembelajaran sosiologi berbasis literasi digital melalui model Problem Based Learning (PBL) di kelas X IPS MAS Sirajul Ulum Pontianak. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya penguatan literasi digital peserta didik dalam menyikapi informasi secara kritis, meskipun sumber belajar yang digunakan berasal dari media cetak berupa koran. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas satu guru mata pelajaran sosiologi dan delapan peserta didik kelas X IPS. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan, dengan keabsahan data diperoleh melalui triangulasi dan member check. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan PBL berbasis literasi digital melalui pemanfaatan media cetak mampu meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan analisis peserta didik, menjaga fokus dan konsentrasi selama pembelajaran, serta menstimulasi aktivitas belajar secara aktif. Guru berperan sebagai fasilitator dalam membimbing peserta didik untuk memilah dan menganalisis informasi secara bijak. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran sosiologi berbasis literasi digital melalui PBL tetap efektif meskipun tanpa penggunaan perangkat digital.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan sebagai upaya menguraikan bagaimana media Gimkit digunakan dalam pembelajaran Sosiologi di kelas XI E SMA Negeri 10 Pontianak, yang difokuskan pada aspek penetapan langkah awal, implementasi, dan hasil pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, dengan pengumpulan data yang dilaksanakan melalui proses pengamatan, wawancara mendalam, dan analisis dokumentasi. Hasil kajian memperlihatkan bahwa pada fase perencanaan, guru mempersiapkan instruimen pembelajaran berupa modul ajar, soal assesmen formatif, serta memperisapkan penggunaan Gimkit sebagai media evaluasi. Pada tahap pelaksanaan dimulai dari kegiatan pendahuluan berupa presensi dan kilas balik materi sebelumnya. Pada kegiatan inti setelah penyampaian materi Gimkit digunakan dalam bentuk permainan kuis yang interaktif sehingga mampu meningkatkan fokus dan keterlibatan peserta didik selama proses belajar. Diakhiri dengan kegiatan penutup berupa refleksi oleh pendidik. Saat penggunaan Gimkit, situasi kelas tampak lebih interaktif, kompetitif, sekaligus menyenangkan karena peserta didik tidak hanya menjawab soal, tetapi juga menyusun strategi untuk memenangkan permainan. Adapun hasil pembelajaran sosiologi menggunakan media gimkit memperlihatkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman kognitif peserta didik. Terdapat 31 peserta didik yang berhasil mencapai standar capaian tujuan pembelajaran, sedangkan 5 orang peserta didik belum memenuhi indicator keberhasilan tujuan pembelajaran. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian, penggunaan Gimkit terbukti berpengaruh positif terhadap pencapaian belajar peserta didik selama pembelajaran sosiologi.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Gamma-assisted Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in enhancing students' interest in learning Sociology in class X-A at SMAN 1 Tayan Hilir. The study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data collection techniques include observation, in-depth interviews with Sociology teachers, students, and the Vice Principal in charge of Curriculum, as well as documentation. Data analysis is carried out interactively through the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that the application of the Gamma-assisted PBL model can increase students' interest in learning, as indicated by improved focus, active participation in discussions, engagement in problem-solving, and better learning outcomes. Using Gamma as an interactive learning medium helps students understand the material through engaging visual displays and supports group collaboration. Although teacher guidance is still needed to verify the content generated by AI, overall, the PBL model assisted by Gamma is effective in increasing students' interest in learning Sociology.

Abstract

This study explores the effectiveness of an Extensive Listening (EL) program using ER Central in improving university students' TOEFL listening comprehension. The program was implemented for one semester with 61 English course students, who underwent pre- and post-tests using the TOEFL listening section. The EL program, inspired by Extensive Reading (ER), emphasized regular exposure to authentic audio materials supplemented with text support. ER Central facilitated material delivery, progress tracking, and quiz administration. Findings revealed a significant improvement in students' listening scores, with an average increase of 26.89 points from pre-test (378.52) to post-test (405.41). A paired t-test confirmed the statistical significance of this improvement (t = -5.085, p < 0.001). However, correlations between the number of quizzes completed, average quiz scores, and score improvements were weak and insignificant, suggesting that frequent quizzes alone may not directly enhance listening comprehension. Pedagogically, the findings suggest that technology-supported extensive listening can promote learner autonomy and consistent practice, especially when aligned with standardized test formats such as TOEFL. Despite its success, limitations include the absence of a control group and the restricted generalizability of results. The findings underscore the need for tailored materials aligned with TOEFL question formats and a holistic approach integrating diverse listening strategies. This research contributes to understanding how technology-enhanced EL programs can optimize language learning outcomes.
