Abstract

Komposit berbahan dasar fiberglass banyak ditemui pada produksi kapal. Namun, pemakaian komposit dalam proses produksi kapal belum mempunyai ketetapan mutu yang baik tentang pengaruh antara persentase resin dan hardener yang dipakai, akan tetapi banyaknya pemakaian katalis dan resin mempunyai pengaruh pada kekuatan komposit serat sebagai penguat. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat perbandingan persentase katalis dan resin pada kuat tarik komposit berbahan fiberglass. Metode yang dipakai pada penelitian ini ialah metode eksperimen yang memakai mesin uji tarik serta meragamkan persentase katalis pada campuran resin dari 1% hingga 2,5%. Hasil yang diperoleh pada penelitian yaitu komposit dengan kandungan persntase 1% mempunyai nilai kuat tarik 99,25 N/mm2, elongasi 19,8% dan modulus elastisitas 518,18 N/mm2. Komposit serta kandungan katalis 1% mempunyai skor kuat tarik 108,65 N/mm2, elongasi 15,6% dan modulus elastisitas 11,86 N/mm2. Komposit yang mengandung katalis 2% mempunyai skor kuat tarik 108,31 N/mm2, elongasi 24,2% dan modulus elastisitas 500,52 N/mm2. Komposit dengan kandungan katalis 2,5% mempunyai skor kuat tarik 104,75 N/mm2, elongasi 19,4% dan modulus elastisitas 658,96 N/mm2. Kekuatan tarik komposit fiberglass terjadi kenaikan pada kandungan katalis 1% sampai 1,5% serta terjadi pelemahan pada kandungan katalis 2% sampai dengan kandungan katalis 2,5%. Hasil kuat tarik paling tinggi berada pada komposit dengan capuran kandungan resin 98,5% dan kandungan katalis 1,5%.

Abstract

Seringkali banyak ditemukan peserta didik yang diberi lebelling negative oleh guru berdasarkan tingkat pengetahuan dan keterampilannya. Hal ini menjadi faktor yang mempengaruhi peserta didik dalam keberhasilan menjalani pembelajaran. Karena pemberian labelling membuat seorang peserta didik tidak percaya diri. Berdasarkan fenomena yang terjadi ini, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan pengaruh pemberian lebelling negative ini terhadap minat belajar peserta didik. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan jenis korelasional yang menerapkan lebelling negative pada peserta didik dan melihat dampaknya terhadap minat belajar seorang siswa. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada 68 orang siswa kelas X Teknik Pemesinan di SMK N 1 Bukitinggi. Analisis data menggunakan metode deskripktif dan analisis regresi. Hasil pengujian diketahui nilai signifikan sebesar 0,037 yang artinya > 0,005. Sehingga diketahui jika Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak, artinya ada dampak signifikans antar variabel pemberian labelling terhadap variabel minat belajar siswa. Dari hasil riset ini disimpulkan bahwasanya ada kontribusi yang signifikan antara pemberian labelling negative pada minat belajar siswa. Seorang anak diberikan label negatif akan membuat anak tersebut dijauhkan dari temannya. Hal ini berdampak terhadap kepercayaan diri siswa. Seseorang yang memperoleh label negatif akan meyakini dirinya sesuai denga lebel negatif yang disematkan kepada dirinya. Hal ini sangat berpengaruh terhadap minat seseorang terhadap pembelajaran dan berdampak langsung kepada prestasi belajar.

Abstract

Era globalisasi saat ini dengan berbagai perkembangan teknologi membuat semakin banyaknya persaingan untuk bekerja setelah lulus nanti hal ini terjadi dikarenakan banyaknya lulusan tidak sebanding dengan kesempatan untuk bekerja yang mengakibatkan semakin banyaknya pengangguran. Oleh karena itu semakin banyaknya persaingan untuk bekerja membuat adanya inovasi dari lulusan agar dapat bersaing, salah satunya dengan berwirausaha. Di SMK Negeri 5 Padang memilih salah satu bidang keahlian yaitu Teknik Pemesinan. Keahlian Teknik Pemesinan diajarkan berbagai keahlian yang berhubungan teknik mesin. Selain itu, Teknik Pemesinan mempunyai peluang yang besar untuk berwirausaha. ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor yang mempengaruhi rendahnya minat siswa dalam berwirausaha, dan untuk menngetahui pandangan siswa terhadap berwirausaha, serta mengetahui cara meningkatkan minat siswa dalam berwirausaha. Jenis penelitian yang diterapkan yaitu jenis deskriptif menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Hasil analisa data dapat diketahui minat berwirausaha siswa SMK Negeri 5 Padang pada bidang teknik permesinan diperoleh informasi bahwa tingkat capaian responden minat berwirausaha sebesar 72 % dikategorikan cukup. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa SMK Negeri 5 Padang berminat untuk berwirausaha pada bidang teknik permesinan, Penilaian minat siswa ini dilakukan dengan melihat 2 faktor yaitu faktor internal terdiri dari beberap indikator yaitu Ketertarikan, Perhatian, Harapan, Kebutuhan, Motivasi dan Perasaan Senang. Faktor eksternal terdiri dari lingkungan keluarga dan lingkungan sekolah. Oleh karena itu banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi terhadap minat siswa untuk melakukan sesuatu termasuk untuk berwirausaha, dan seluruh faktor tersebut hasus terpenuhi dalam pengambilan keputusan untuk berwirausaha bagi seseorang siswa.

Abstract

This research was based on the demands of the 21st century in which teachers should have 4 skills (critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication). Teachers are required to change the way of teaching that initially (teacher-centered) turns into (student-centered) and able to participate to follow the development of technology. Therefore, E-book learning is needed that can present material pedagogy integrated with kolb learning and 4C's. This research aims to produce the final product in the form of valid e-book media learning, practical and effective in pedagogy subject. This was a research and development (Research and Development) research. This development research used ADDIE development model consisting of 5 stages which were Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). Based on the results, e-book validation testing conducted by three validators, it obtained Aiken's score 0.9 with a valid category. The test results practicalities of the teachers and the students were 86% in the practical category. The effectiveness test results was 89.65%. Thus, it can be concluded that this research has produced a pedagogical e-book which is valid, practical and effective.

Abstract

Based on research conducted by PISA, the ability to solve problems and think critically of Indonesian students is still below the average score set by PISA. Problem based learning is one of the learning models recommended by the Ministry of Education and Culture to be applied in improving these abilities. However, the lack of problem-based learning that has been applied so far is the lack of use of media that can be used as support in learning activities, resulting in inconsistencies in the impact of problem-based learning in improving student skills. The importance of these skills for students to have in this era of the industrial revolution 4.0, makes educators have to be more creative and innovative in implementing learning. Therefore, this study aims at seeing efforts to improve problem solving skills and critical thinking skills through problem based integrated computer assisted instruction (CAI). This study used a quasi-experimental pre-test and post-test control group design. The population in this study were undergraduate students of Mechanical Engineering Education, Padang State University. The instrument used in this research is a questionnaire which is used to see students' problem solving and critical thinking skills. The data analysis technique in this study is in accordance with the research hypothesis, where research hypotheses 1 and 2 use independent sample t-test and research hypothesis 3 uses MANCOVA. The research covered by his study is in line with higher education's continuing search for effective SCL approaches

Abstract

Stability is an important aspect that was studied in ship design as it relates to the safety of the ship when facing ocean waves. The tourist ship needed to have a good image in order to attract tourists to use its services. Good stability of the tourist ship was crucial in enhancing the image of the ship and attracting tourists to utilize its services. This research aimed to investigate the effect of concave on the U hull to improve ship stability. The study compared the stability test results of two hull designs: U hull with concave and without concave. The stability tests of both ship models were conducted through simulation methods. The simulations were performed under two conditions: when the tourist ship was empty and when it was fully loaded with passengers. The simulation results indicated that the design of the U hull with concave had a positive influence on ship stability, leading to improved stability. The concave design enhanced the ship's ability to return to its original position when encountering waves. Even in the presence of small waves, the tourist ship did not experience instability.

Abstract

The availability of boats is needed to develop fishing tourism. Most of the boats used so far generally use fishing boats made of woodcut in the forest, so this can damage the environment and cause natural disasters. Ships using a flat plate hull made of steel can be a substitute for wooden ships. This study aims to test the stability of a flat plate vessel designed for fishing boats. The ship stability test was carried out using a computer simulation method using Maxsurf Stability software. The ship stability criteria refer to the International Maritime Organization code A.749 (18), Ch 3-design criteria applicable to all ships. The ship stability analysis was carried out on two variations of the load case. The value of GZ at A h 300, A h 400 and A h 300 - A h 400 for load case 1 and 2 are greater than the minimum standards determined by IMO. The maximum GZ value at load case 1 occurs at an angle of 400 and at load case 2 at an angle of 60.90. The GM value in load case 1 is 0.609 meters and in load case 2 is 0.485 meters. Based on the results of the tests that have been carried out, it can be denied that the flatboat design model for fishing tourism meets the criteria set by the International Maritime Organization.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the project-based learning model on learning outcomes in class XII Manufacturing Engineering Drawing subjects at SMK Semen Padang. The type of research used in this study is Quasy experimental using one experimental class and one control class. The study involved 20 experimental class students and 20 control class students. Data was collected with test questions in the form of pre-test and post-test to determine learning outcomes in aspects of Knowledge (cognitive), and assessment of student performance to determine learning outcomes in aspects of skills (psychomotor). Analyze the initial data to determine the average of the classes to be used for the determination of the experimental class and the control class. The final data analysis used is the T test. The results showed a significant influence on learning outcomes using a project-based learning model. The results of the T test on the Post-test results obtained a sig (2-tailed) value of 0.004 which is smaller than 0.05 with an average percentage of 71.8 in the Experiment class and 65.1 in the control class. For the T Test on student performance assessment, a sig (2-tailed) value of 0.027 is obtained which is smaller than 0.05. Both T-tests prove that project-based learning models can provide better learning outcomes.

Abstract

The Fourth Industrial Revolution presents difficulties that all countries must face head-on by using technology extensively in all aspects of daily life. Education is meant to provide students withithe knowledge they need toisucceed in various aspects of life. Answering the problems faced now, especially in the industrial field, SMK Negeri 5 padang plays a good role in shaping the characteriof students, in accordance with the vision of SMK Negeri 5 padang is to become an educational produce reliable human resources in the industrial era. Based on observations in machining practice research, it was found that space facilities, machining tools, and practice hours still need more attention to improve student skills. One example is the low level of student independence and discipline. This study aimsito examine the relationship between independence and discipline of grade XI students with machining practice at SMK Negeri 5 Padang. Based on the study, it was found significant relationship between independence and discipline in machining practice, as seen from the test results conducted during the study. A total of 33 xi gradeistudents of the Department ofpMechanical Engineering participated in the study in the January-June 2023/2024 academic year. The results showed a significant relationship between independence and discipline of class XI students at SMK N 5 . This is shownifrom the results of the correlation test with the value of r count> r table (0.567> 0.334) therefore the hypothesis in the study can be accepted.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI SMK jurusan teknik pengelasan dan fabrikasi logam menggunakan model Project Based Learning (PjBL). Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan pendekatan kaulitataif dan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam tiga siklus. Setiap siklus melalui empat tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 30 orang siswa kelas XI SMK jurusan teknik pengelasan dan fabrikasi logam. Mata pelajaran yang dipilih adalah gambar teknik. Berdassarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi model PjBL mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.
