Abstract

The students’ difficulties on understanding the material and the lack of the enthusiasm in learning mathematics, especially in angle measurement material were be the basic reasons for this research. In addition, conventional learning methods that characterized by lectures were still often used by teachers in learning. Therefore, the learning not being more active, effective, and enjoyable. The development of educational learning media like analog clock board was one of the solutions to improve students’ understanding. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of analog clock board as learning media to solve mathematics learning problems. The development model used was a 4D development research model. The results of media validation stated that analog clock board was feasible to be used in mathematics learning for angle measurement material. In addition, the results of the questionnaire shown that 90% of teachers and 100% of students stated the media was "very interested". The experiment results showed that analog clock board was more effective to improve students' understanding on angle measurement.

Abstract

Educators take as an important rule in educational system. They are the ones who are responsible for the students in achieving their educational goals. Basically, there is no difference concept of educators in both Islamic and Western Education. However, Islam has broader perspectives compared to the Western one, since in Islam Allah is believed as the first and foremost teacher or educator. Then, this is continued by the Prophet Muhammad as a recipient of revelations from Allah, and then it is inherited to the Islamic Scholars and even parents to educate their followers, children, and all family members. The position of educators is highly appreciated according to Islamic Education, since the source of the knowledge taught to the human is directly from Allah the Almighty God. Therefore, the nature of educators should become role models which can be taken as a good example for the students in order to improve the quality of theit faith and piety. Thus, the terms and conditions for an educator are s/he must be an adult, has good personality and character, has broaden knowledge and skills, and also good attitudes and consistency based on Islamic taughts.

Abstract

Post-tolerance is a concrete form of behavior in appreciating and respecting each other among religious communities. This is particularly necessary in a diverse country like Indonesia to foster diversity. Roemah Bhinneka is a post-tolerance phenomenon in Surabaya that operates in the field of social diversity among religions. They collaborate by combining one religious activity with another, such as opening prayers by Muslims for Christmas and New Year celebrations in churches. The purpose of this study is to describe the phenomenon of post-tolerance at Roemah Bhinneka in Indonesia with its diverse society. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type, Emiel Durkheim's theory of organic solidarity, and data collection through interviews and documentation. The results of this study show that post-tolerance takes the form of involvement in other religious activities, such as joint prayer, social activities, and interfaith discussions. Differences in understanding and beliefs are united by a single vision of a social movement for diversity to build peace and justice in Indonesia's multicultural society. They dare to build arguments for coexisting with other religions through discussion and joint religious practices. From the perspective of organic solidarity theory, Roemah Bhinneka's practice of post-tolerance can be an important contribution to building an Indonesian society that is mutually involved in various social and religious activities across beliefs. Abstract

Quranic education in non-formal institutions such as the Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur'an (TPQ) faces complex challenges, particularly regarding the heterogeneity of students' ages in a single class, ranging from early childhood (PAUD) to adolescence (junior high school). This condition leads to variations in cognitive abilities and concentration levels, complicating classroom management and the maintenance of learning motivation. This study aims to analyze teachers' strategies in bridging these challenges through the implementation of reward and punishment methods, focusing on their forms, processes, impacts, and effectiveness on students' motivation and learning achievement. This study employs a qualitative field research approach at TPQ Baburrahmah, Banjarbaru. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews with 10 key informants (teachers) and literature review. The results indicate that: (1) Forms of reward are dominated by verbal praise and body gestures as positive reinforcement, while punishment is applied persuasively through verbal admonition without physical violence; (2) The implementation process is based on the principles of balance (Law of Effect), immediacy, and a humanist approach; (3) The impact of implementation proves to be constructive, where rewards fulfill Esteem Needs and punishment builds inner control. This strategy is considered highly effective in improving learning achievement through the "Push and Pull Factors" mechanism, where rewards attract learning interest and punishment maintains discipline, creating a conducive learning climate.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the social values in the Qur'an and Hadith and their relevance as the foundation for the education of the Islamic community in Haruyan District. The background of this research stems from the phenomenon of weakening the practice of Islamic social values in community life, which leads to the emergence of social disharmony. The research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method combined with limited social observation to link Islamic normative teachings with the social realities of the local community. The findings show that social values in Islam encompass three main dimensions: love, responsibility, and life harmony. These values are strongly reflected in Surah Al-Hujurat verses 11–13, which emphasize respect for human dignity, the prohibition of prejudice and gossip, and the principle of ta’aruf (getting to know each other) as the foundation for harmonious social relations. The teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) further strengthen these values through teachings on guarding the tongue, respecting neighbors and guests, and loving fellow Muslims. In the context of the Haruyan District community, these Islamic social values are highly relevant as the basis for community education because they help strengthen social cohesion, form ethical character, and encourage social participation and community empowerment. This study affirms that the internalization of social values based on the Qur'an and Hadith in community education significantly contributes to the realization of a harmonious, inclusive, and sustainable social life.

Abstract

Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) memiliki peran strategis dalam menopang perekonomian nasional, namun masih menghadapi berbagai kendala dalam pengelolaan usaha, khususnya pada aspek pencatatan dan pelaporan keuangan. Rendahnya literasi akuntansi menyebabkan pelaku UMKM kesulitan menyusun laporan keuangan yang akurat, sehingga berdampak pada lemahnya pengambilan keputusan bisnis, keterbatasan akses pembiayaan, serta rendahnya daya saing usaha. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi akuntansi UMKM melalui pendampingan pencatatan keuangan berbasis digital sebagai solusi yang praktis dan mudah diterapkan. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi tahap identifikasi kebutuhan mitra, sosialisasi pentingnya pencatatan keuangan, pelatihan penggunaan aplikasi pencatatan keuangan digital, serta pendampingan intensif dalam penerapan pencatatan transaksi usaha secara berkelanjutan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman pelaku UMKM terhadap konsep dasar akuntansi, kemampuan melakukan pencatatan transaksi secara sistematis, serta peningkatan kesadaran akan pentingnya laporan keuangan dalam pengelolaan usaha. Pendampingan ini juga mendorong pelaku UMKM untuk lebih tertib dalam administrasi keuangan dan siap menghadapi tuntutan digitalisasi usaha. Dengan demikian, pendampingan pencatatan keuangan digital dapat menjadi pendekatan efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi akuntansi UMKM serta mendukung keberlanjutan dan pengembangan usaha secara lebih profesional.

Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth the concepts of love and compassion in learning from the perspectives of the Qur’an and Hadith and their relevance to contemporary pedagogical practices at SMAN Banjarbaru. The research focuses on how the values of rahmah (compassion), mahabbah (constructive love), and rifq (gentleness) are internalized in the learning process and their implications for character formation, classroom climate, and teacher–student relationships. The methodology employed is a qualitative approach with a field study design, using participant observation, in-depth interviews with teachers and students, and analysis of learning documents. The data were analyzed through thematic analysis and source triangulation to ensure the validity and reliability of the findings. The findings indicate that the implementation of love and compassion values in learning significantly contributes to increased learning motivation, psychological safety, awareness-based discipline, and the strengthening of students’ social and religious character. However, the study also reveals structural and cultural challenges, such as the dominance of cognitively oriented learning paradigms, limited teacher training in humanistic pedagogy, and academic performance pressures that hinder the internalization of spiritual values in daily learning practices. This study concludes that love and compassion should be positioned as a core paradigm in education rather than merely a methodological approach, in order to develop a humanistic, transformative learning model oriented toward the development of a progressive, ethical, and civilized society

Abstract

This study examines the concept of “fear” from the perspective of the Qur’an and Hadith through semantic, theological, and spiritual analysis, focusing on the terms khauf, khasyyah, and rahbah. The study reveals that fear in Islam is not merely an emotional reaction but a multidimensional spectrum with moral, spiritual, and social functions. Khauf represents basic fear of punishment and sin, rahbah reflects fear combined with spiritual longing, while khasyyah is a transcendental fear arising from knowledge and reverence of Allah. This hierarchy forms the structure of a servant’s spiritual journey from self-awareness to divine consciousness. The findings highlight that balanced fear promotes sincere obedience, self-discipline, and spiritual maturity, whereas misinterpretation can lead to extremism. Understanding the concept of fear correctly is essential for fostering moderate and harmonious Islamic spirituality.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the implementation of learning the Safinatun Najah book in improving female students' understanding of women's fiqh at Al Intiqol Islamic Boarding School, Cianjur. Using a qualitative approach and case study design, this research involved 10 female students as participants. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, questionnaires, cognitive tests, and documentation. The learning process was carried out using the bandongan method during general lectures and the sorogan method during supervised group study sessions. The materials focus on women's fiqh, especially menstruation (menstruation), postpartum bleeding (nifas), irregular bleeding (istihadhah), and purification (thaharah). The results indicate that the Safinatun Najah learning method has a positive impact on students' comprehension, as demonstrated by significant improvement in their ability to distinguish between types of blood and understand purification laws. This improvement was supported by cognitive test results where 8 out of 10 participants scored above 80, and interviews confirmed a better understanding of fiqh principles. In conclusion, the implementation of Safinatun Najah plays an essential role in shaping female students' understanding of women's fiqh in the Islamic boarding school environment.

Abstract

Indonesia is characterized by a rich mix of ethnic groups, cultures, languages, and religions, making it essential to promote multicultural values ??to ensure unity among its people. Nonetheless, issues such as intolerance, discrimination, hate speech, and conflicts related to ethnicity, religion, race, and inter-group relations frequently arise, often fueled by social media platforms. The verses 10 to 13 of QS. Al-Hujurat conveys teachings about brotherhood, mutual respect, equality, and the need to shun discrimination. Ibn Kathir's interpretation highlights that true human worth is determined by one's piety rather than ethnic background or social rank. This study seeks to contextualize the multicultural principles present in these verses, aiming for their implementation in educational settings to cultivate a peaceful, respectful, and harmonious learning environment. The research uses a qualitative approach, specifically through library research. The sources of data include Tafsir al-Qur'an al-'Azim by Ibn Kathir, the Qur'an itself, and pertinent literature addressing multiculturalism. The results show that the multicultural values ??recognized include tolerance, equality, justice, democracy, and fraternity. By integrating these values ??into education, it is possible to enhance unity and create a harmonious learning environment amid the existing diversity.
