Abstract

News coverage on Covid-19 is important as it provides people with important updates as well as crucial information for avoiding infection. Previous studies have shown undesirable messages such as Covid-19 news that circulates in social networking sites can trigger ‘third-person perception (TPP)’, which is a phenomenon in which audiences presume a message exerts more influence upon people other than themselves. It is crucial to examine whether audiences experience TPP during consumption of pandemic news – especially when there is a possible negative correlation between TPP and protective behavioural intentions. Previous studies showed empirical evidence when users used Covid-19 news in SNS (consume, contribute or create), such use could reduce TPP and was also correlated with preventive behavioural intentions. This suggests that three types of SNS usage and personal relevance have direct relationship with protective behavioural intentions, as well as indirect relationship with TPP, where it has a mediating role. To test these hypotheses, explanatory research of a positivistic paradigm and quantitative approach was administered. This research utilized quota sampling to collect data from 400 respondents through online questionnaire. Based on the structural analysis, there is no significant relationship between TPP and preventive behavioural intentions. Analyses also did not support the hypotheses that TPP mediated: 1.) SNS usage and preventive behavioural intensions; 2.) and personal relevance and preventive behavioural intensions. Personal relevance was found to be an important construct as it had a positive influence toward preventive behavioural intentions and a negative relationship with TPP. It is suggested that low level of interaction with Covid-19 news in Social Networking Sites is due to the respondents only incidentally consumed Covid-19 news. It is also suggested that non-existing relationship between third-person perception and preventive behavioural intention is due to the mandatory nature of health protocol in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study is to investigate the impact of social media on students' motivation to learn Geography in phase E at SMAN 1, Guguak District, 50 City District, during the academic year 2023/2024. The research methodology employed in this study is experimental research, as its objective is to investigate the impact of variable X on variable Y. The population under study comprises all students in class X. The sample size for the study is 59 respondents. The research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Guguak, situated on Jl. Tan Malaka Kubang Tungkek, Guguak District, Limapuluh Kota Regency. The research will be conducted in SMA N 1 Guguak sub-district. Meanwhile, the research will be carried out in May 2024. The research findings indicate that social media has an impact on the motivation of students in phase E geography topics at SMAN 1, Guguak District, 50 City District. Evidently, the research findings indicate that the students in the experimental class, where social media was employed as a learning tool, had greater ratings in the category of learning motivation compared to the control class, which relied on traditional methods such as lectures. In addition, the examination of pretest, posttest, and questionnaire scores reveals that the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. Thus, the hypothesis posits that social media has an impact on students' drive to learn.

Abstract

The main aim of this research is to find out the results of the evaluation of the implications of mentoring in learning the practice of ablution at the Al-Firdaus Qur'an Education Park (TPQ), Ngrangkok Hamlet, Klampisan Village by applying the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach. The selection of this PAR approach hopes for active involvement from all levels of TPQ Al-Firdaus, such as teachers, students, caregivers, and student guardians, in the planning, implementation process, and evaluation of ablution learning to find out the impact of the program. This research strategy involves a process structure consisting of observation, interviews, planning, action, and reflection. Data was collected through interviews, field observations, research team discussions, and documentation. The results of this research show the impact of significant changes both in the level of understanding and skills of the students in carrying out ablution practices by the Shari'ah, and also in strengthening their involvement and support from the TPQ community. Active participation from all interested parties is also very helpful in identifying and alleviating conflicts in the learning process. The conclusion from this research is that the use of the PAR approach is very effective in improving the form of mentoring in religious education which involves all parties involved in the stages of the process. It is hoped that these results can be used as material for consideration for teaching in Islamic educational institutions and can then become a model for other Islamic educational institutions in the future.

Abstract

This research was conducted due to a negative perception of elementary school teachers, mostly women, on Twitter as one of the social media platforms throughout the pandemic. From a media perspective, social media become important platforms for conveying confusion as well as providing solutions to parents. The research question is how netizen represents their struggle on social media, and whether there is a difference between men and women. The research used social semiotics as a method. The results are as follows. First, the conversation on female teachers' roles and responsibilities did not describe the existing social reality because the teachers’ voices were unheard in the tweets.  If did exist any, their voices were conveyed by someone else. Second, men spoke in an asymmetrical style of communication and considered the problems related to online learning to be systematic. While on the other hand women used symmetrical ones which ironically discriminate against or make a scapegoat of female teachers.

Abstract

Pembelajaran yang ideal yaitu pembelajaran yang mencapai tujuan pembelajaran secara efektif sehingga menstimulasi perkembangan potensi anak. salah satu alat bantu yang dibutuhkan guru dalam pembelajaran berupa media pembelajaran yang menarik dan sesuai dengan era revolusi industry 4.0 (media berbasis teknologi). Namun kenyataannya masih banyak guru-guru Taman Kanak-kanak yang belum mampu menciptakan atau menggunakan media yang efektif dalam proses pembelajaran terutama media berbasis teknologi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui tentang media pembelajaran matematika anak usia dini yang digunakan di Kota Padang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa penggunaan media dalam pembelajaran matematika belum mampu menstimulasi perkembangan kemampuan matematika anak optimal. Media yang digunakan pada pembelajaran matematika anak usia dini dengan hasil 45% guru menggunakan media kartu angka, 22,5% media gambar, 22% media visual lainnya dan 10,5 media dan lain-lain. Hal tersebut disebabkan karena keterbatasan kemampuan guru, waktu dan biaya. Oleh karena itu sangat dibutuhkan inovas i dalam merancang media pembelajaran terutama dalam pembelajaran matematika anak usia dini.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berawal dari kenyataan di Taman Kanak-kanak, peneliti menemukan fenomena bahwa masih rendahnya kemampuan mengenal bentuk geometri pada anak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media Puzzle Tangram terhadap kemampuan mengenal bentuk geometri. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan desain quasy eksperimental. Hasil penelitian terlihat bahwa, pada kelompok eksperimen lebih berpengaruh signifikan dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol terhadap kemampuan mengenal bentuk geometri pada anak usia dini pada usia 5 samp[ai 6 tahun di Taman Kanak-kanak. Dengan menggunakan media Puzzle Tanggram anak mengenal bentuk- bentuk geomettri, anak- anak aktif dengan rasa ingin tahu yang tinggi dapat memecahkan masalah, serta dapat meningkatkan kreatifitas anak

Abstract

Waqf atau wakaf secara harfiyah berarti berhenti, menahan, atau diam. Secara teknis syariah, wakaf sering kali diartikan sebagai aset yang dialokasikan untuk kemanfaatan umat di mana substansi atau pokoknya ditahan, sementara manfaatnya boleh dinikmati untuk kepentingan umum. Sebagaimana diketahui, wakaf telah mengakar dan menjadi tradisi umat Islam sepanjang sejarah. Wakaf telah dikenal dan dilaksanakan oleh umat Islam Indonesia sejak agama Islam masuk ke Indonesia Pada umumnnya, umat Islam di Indonesia memahami bahwa peruntukan wakaf hanya terbatas untuk kepentingan peribadatan dan hal?hal yang lazim dilaksanakan di Indonesia seperti tercermin dalam pembentukan masjid, mushalla, sekolah, makam dan lain?lain. Peruntukan yang lain yang lebih menjamin produktivitas dan kesejahteraan umat nampaknya masih belum berkembang.[1]Dapat diartikan dari pengertian tentang wakaf di atas wakaf itu merupakan aset yang manfaatnya untuk umat. serta pokoknya harus ditahan dan manfaatnya digunakan untuk kepentingan umat. Jadi dapat di simpulkan bahwa masyarakat umum mengetahui yang bisa di wakafkan ini hanyalah sebatas wakaf harta saja, namun jika kita lihat sekarang ini sangat banyak wakaf-wakaf lain selain dari pada wakaf harta benda ini. Contohnya saja di zaman milenial ini sangat maraknya wakaf uang/tunai, ada juga wakaf berupa saham, wakaf jasa dan lain sebagainya yang kita ketahui.

Abstract

Bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik Sekolah Dasar di Kelas 3, penelitian ini dilakukan melalui implementasi model kooperatif tipe STAD (Student Teams Achieviment Division) dalam pembelajaran. Subjek penelitian ini yakni seluruh anggota kelas 3 Sekolah Dasar Negeri Benowo 1, Surabaya dengan 28 peserta didik tahun ajaran 2024-2025. Jenis penelitian bersifat kualitatif menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan metode DBR (design-based research). Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui teknik observasi, kuesioner serta dokumentasi fisik. Penelitian menunjukkan hasil dnegan adanya peningkatan dalam motivasi belajar peserta didik, dimana sebelum tindakan sangat rendah dengan persentase 72%, dan meningkat sesudah tindaskan menjadi sangat baik dengan persentase 82%.

Abstract

Today, many profit or nonprofit organizations, as well as commercial companies, are owned by people who have very strong character in society. With the characteristic of the person's personality, will give the impression to the company as well. Personal branding itself is a planned process in which people make efforts to market themselves. People have to differentiate themselves and stand out from a crowd. Then is to develop an active communication through managing behavior, communication and symbolism. Leadership brand is a reputation for developing exceptional managers with a distinct set of talents that are uniquely geared to fulfill customers 'and investors' expectations. A company with a leadership brand inspires faith that employees and managers will consistently make good on the firm's promises. How is the use of personal and leadership branding, if the person is the owner of a company? What makes the personal and leadership branding matter to the company reputation? Company reputation is the goal as well as an achievement to be achieved for the world Public Relations. For the company, reputation is a form of trust from the society. So, if a company experiences a public trust crisis it will have a negative impact on reputation and will require a lot of effort to grow and rebuild trust, and reputation of course. The reputation that we want to see in this study is from the stakeholders of the company. But how is the relationship between personal branding and leadership branding of company owner on corporate reputation in the eyes of stakeholders?
