Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana berjalannya fungsi manajemen yang ada pada organisasi mahasiswa pecinta alam di Universitas Negeri Padang dalam proses pembinaan olahraga panjat tebing. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian yang bersifat deskriptif kualitatif. Instrumen pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan kombinasi berbagai teknik, yaitu: 1) Pedoman Wawancara dan 2) Studi Dokumentasi. Dimana populasi pada penelitian ini adalah pengurus MAPALA UNP, dan yang menjadi informannya merupakan pengurus inti yang berkaitan dengan divisi panjat tebing, yang berjumlah 4 orang. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah MAPAL UNP memiliki visi dan misi yang sudah jelas, dengan agenda yang telah ditetapkan serta ada agenda yang rutin. Namun beberapa agenda ada yang belum terlaksana, yang disebabkan kegiatan/aktifitas perkuliahan pengurus yang banyak. Dalam segi kepengurusan, MAPALA UNP telah berjalan dengan baik, dimana dalam pemilihan kepengurusan telah dilaksanakan sesuai dengan standar dan aturan yang telah ditetapkan, sehingga pengurus yang terpilih memang ahli dibidangnya. Selama proses berjalannya organisasi, pada segi penggerakan kepengurusan dalam peningkatan prestasi panjat tebing belum maksimal, hal ini terlihat dari pelaksanaan latihan yang tidak sesuai dengan jadwal, program latihan yang tidak ada. Kontrol selalu dilakukan oleh ketua umum bersama ketua bidang, agar agenda yang telah ditetapkan dapat sesuai dengan jadwal, jika ada permasalahan yang timbul akan dilakukan rapat kegiatan. Setiap agenda yang telah direncanakan dan yang telah dilaksanakan selalu diakhiri dengan evaluasi, sehingga panitia mendapat pengalaman untuk agenda selanjutnya. Selain itu dari segi evaluasi ini masih belum berjalan maksimal dalam hal pemberian masukan/pengarahan tentang agenda yang belum terlaksana. Sarana dan prasarana sangat kurang, sehingga atlet yang akan berlatih hanya menggunakan peralatan pribadi dan seadanya, hal ini disebabkan oleh tempat latihan yang dipakai untuk parker kendaraan dan peralatan yang digunakan harganya snagat mahal, sehingga pengurus hanya bisa mencicil sedikit peralatan setiap tahun tergantung kas yang ada.

Abstract

The interval training method is one form of exercise that is expected to increase Volume Oxigen Maximum (VO2Max), especially for female futsal players. The purpose of this study was to determine how much influence the interval training method has on increasing VO2Max for female futsal players. Method The approach in this study used the "Pretest Posttest Design involving 12 female futsal players of Rimbo girl Tebo Regency. Participants were obtained based on certain criteria that were met. The instrument used in obtaining VO2Max data uses the yo-yo test. The data were analyzed using the "t-test" test analysis with a significant level of 0.5 using spss. The results showed an increase in VO2Max of female futsal players when viewed from the results of pretest and posttest data. So that there is an effect of the interval training method on VO2Max futsal players. This is proven significantly, where after the "t" test is carried out the results of tcount = 16.43> ttable = 1.796. Thus it can be concluded that there is an effect of interval training on increasing VO2Max of futsal players Gadis Rimbo Tebo district

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis hubungan antara motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran pendidikan jasmani, olahraga, dan kesehatan (PJOK) siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 4 Kandis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode korelasional dengan melibatkan seluruh siswa kelas VIII yang berjumlah 60 orang sebagai sampel jenuh. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket untuk mengukur tingkat motivasi belajar siswa dan nilai rapor untuk mengetahui hasil belajar mereka.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar siswa secara umum berada pada kategori sangat tinggi dengan skor rata-rata 81,7%. Analisis korelasi menghasilkan nilai r hitung sebesar 0,287, yang lebih besar dari r tabel (0,254), menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar. Koefisien determinasi sebesar 8,2% mengindikasikan bahwa motivasi belajar memberikan kontribusi sebesar 8,2% terhadap variasi hasil belajar siswa.Kesimpulannya, terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar PJOK siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 4 Kandis. Motivasi belajar memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran ini.The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between learning motivation and learning outcomes in physical education, sports, and health (PJOK) subjects among eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 4 Kandis. This research employs a correlational method involving all eighth-grade students, totaling 60 individuals, as a saturated sample. Data were collected through questionnaires to measure students' learning motivation and report card scores to assess their learning outcomes.The results indicate that students' learning motivation is generally categorized as very high, with an average score of 81.7%. Correlation analysis yields a calculated r value of 0.287, which is greater than the r table value of 0.254, indicating a significant positive relationship between learning motivation and learning outcomes. The coefficient of determination is 8.2%, suggesting that learning motivation contributes 8.2% to the variation in students' learning outcomes. In conclusion, there is a significant relationship between learning motivation and learning outcomes in PJOK subjects among eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 4 Kandis. Learning motivation plays an important role in improving students' learning outcomes in this subject.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Physical Education (PE) learning in instilling and familiarizing positive character values in elementary school children. Character education is becoming increasingly important in the challenging era of globalization, where the flow of foreign cultures and the influence of social media can hinder the development of children's character. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach involving 20 students, 5 parents of students, 2 teachers, and 1 principal at Elementary School Angkasa I Lanud Sutan Syahrir Padang. Data were collected through observation, unstructured interviews, and documentation studies. The results of the study indicate that PE activities are an effective medium in instilling character values such as discipline, cooperation, and responsibility. Teachers act as role models in teaching these values, while parental support strengthens character habits outside of school. Although effective, there are several challenges in its implementation, such as time constraints and lack of training for teachers. This study conveys that PE has great potential to contribute to the formation of a young generation that is not only physically healthy but also strong in character.

Abstract

This study identified low VO2 Max in SSB Ripan's Soccer School Padang football athletes, which is suspected to be due to lack of physical activity, poor sleep quality, and sub-ideal body mass index (BMI). The impact of low VO2 Max includes rapid fatigue and decreased concentration, especially in the second half of the match, which affects the team's performance. The purpose of the study was to analyze the effect of physical activity, sleep quality, and BMI on the VO2 Max of athletes. The type of research is quantitative with a comparative approach, involving 25 athletes with purposive sampling techniques. The instruments used included the IPAQ-SF questionnaire for physical activity, PSQI for sleep quality, anthropometric test for BMI, and YO-YO IR Test level 1 for VO2 Max. The data were analyzed using path analysis at α = 0.05. The results of the study showed: (1) physical activity had a direct effect on VO2 Max (py1 = 0.442), (2) sleep quality had a direct effect (py2 = 0.301), (3) BMI had a direct effect (py3 = 0.355), (4) there was an indirect effect of physical activity through BMI (total influence 0.319%), and (5) an indirect effect on sleep quality through BMI (total influence 0.323%). Overall, physical activity, sleep quality, and BMI contributed 70.1% to the athletes' VO2 Max. In conclusion, there was a significant influence of physical activity, sleep quality, and BMI on the VO2 Max of SSB Ripan's Soccer School Padang football athletes

Abstract

Dribbling is a fundamental technical skill in soccer that determines a player’s ability to control the ball and bypass opponents. At SMP Negeri 2 Ampek Nagari, students participating in extracurricular soccer activities have shown relatively low dribbling ability, highlighting the need for effective training methods. This study aimed to examine the effects of two training types Ladder Drill and Ball Feeling and the role of agility in improving dribbling skills. A pseudo-experimental method with a 2 x 2 factorial design was applied, involving 40 students divided into four groups based on training type and agility level (fast or slow). Data was collected through pre- and post-tests of dribbling and agility across 16 training sessions. The results, analyzed using two-way ANOVA at a 0.05 significance level, revealed a significant effect of both training type and agility level on dribbling improvement (F = 8.417; p < 0.05), with the interaction contributing 41.2% of the variation. The group with high agility who received Ball Feeling training showed the greatest improvement (mean = 57.80), followed by the low-agility Ball Feeling group (mean = 54.90). In contrast, those trained with Ladder Drill showed lower improvement 42.70 for high agility and 45.30 for low agility. The Tukey test confirmed significant differences between training methods at both agility levels. The study concludes that Ball Feeling training is more effective than Ladder Drill, especially when paired with good agility. Coaches are recommended to emphasize Ball Feeling exercises to optimize young players’ dribbling development.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the contribution of leg muscle explosive power and foot-eye coordination to the shooting ability of PUPUS FC football players in the Mentawai Islands Regency. The type of research used is quantitative descriptive. The population in this study were all PUPUS FC players, while the sampling technique used total sampling of 22 people. The tests used in this study were the standing broad jump test, the foot-eye coordination test, and the soccer shooting test. The sample in this study was 22 people. From the results of the tests conducted on PUPUS FC soccer players, the results obtained were that there was a contribution between leg muscle explosive power to soccer shooting results of 12.40% and the remaining 87.60% was influenced by other factors, there was a contribution between foot-eye coordination to soccer shooting results of 2.70% and the remaining 97.30% was influenced by other factors, and there was a contribution of leg muscle explosive power and foot-eye coordination to soccer shooting results of 73.10% and the remaining 26.90% was influenced by other factors. The tests used in this study included the standing broad jump test to assess leg muscle explosive power, the foot-eye coordination test to evaluate the players' coordination, and the soccer shooting test to measure their shooting accuracy and effectiveness. These tests are commonly used in sports science to evaluate physical attributes that directly impact athletic performance. The results obtained from the tests indicate that leg muscle explosive power contributed 12.40% to the soccer shooting performance of the players, with the remaining 87.60% influenced by other factors such as technical skill, tactical awareness, and mental readiness. Additionally, foot-eye coordination accounted for 2.70% of the variation in shooting ability, suggesting that while important, it is not the dominant factor in determining shooting success. The remaining 97.30% of the variation could be attributed to other physical, technical, or psychological factors.

Abstract

Pemberdayaan wanita usia subur dan remaja di lakukan agar para wanita tersebut mampu membawa dirinya dan menempatkan dirinya di masa depan saat mereka dewasa. Remaja putri merupakan kelompok yang rawan kekurangan zat gizi, dan remaja yang kurang gizi dan anemia beresiko melahirkan anak yang stunting dan Berat Badan Lahir Rendah (BBLR). Adapun daerah binaan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini adalah Nagari Sungai Nyalo, Kecamatan Koto XI Tarusan, dengan sasaran mitra adalah remaja putri. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah memberdayakan remaja putri, menambah pengetahuan dan keterampilan serta meningkatkan derajat kesehatan bagi remaja. Kegiatan yang di lakukan adalah dengan memberikan pelatihan pengolahan produk perikanan, dan penyuluhan kebutuhan gizi seimbang untuk remaja. Metode dalam kegiatan ini melalui penyuluhan kebutuhan gizi seimbang remaja dan kesehatan tentang pola hidup sehat, serta di berikan pelatihan pengolahan produk perikanan, memasukkan program penyuluhan kebutuhan gizi seimbang dalam kegiatan Posyandu Remaja yang di laksanakan sekali sebulan dan Pelatihan pengolahan produk perikanan yaitu membuat baso ikan, kaki naga, nugget ikan, dimsum dan sosis ikan. Produk yang dihasilkan dapat menjadi usaha baru untuk meningkatkan pendapatan Masyarakat terutama remaja. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta setelah mengikuti pelatihan. Rata-rata skor pengetahuan tentang stunting sebelum kegiatan adalah 6,8 dan rata-rata skor pengetahuan setelah kegiatan 8,5, lebih tinggi dibandingkan sebelum kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan (p<0,05). Kesimpulan pencegahan stunting pada anak balita tidak hanya menjadi tanggung jawab orang tua, tetapi juga perlu melibatkan remaja putri sebagai calon ibu masa depan dan kelompok wanita usia subur. Hasil kajian di Kanagarian Sungai Nyalo menunjukkan bahwa pemberdayaan Wanita usia subur dan remaja putri melalui peningkatan pengetahuan gizi, kesehatan reproduksi, serta keterampilan dalam memilih dan mengelola pangan lokal, memiliki peran penting dalam memutus mata rantai penyebab stunting. Upaya ini mampu menanamkan kesadaran sejak dini mengenai pentingnya kesehatan ibu dan anak, sehingga dapat menekan risiko terjadinya stunting di masa mendatang. Oleh karena itu, program pemberdayaan remaja putri terbukti menjadi strategi preventif yang efektif dalam upaya pencegahan stunting, sekaligus berkontribusi dalam mencetak generasi sehat, cerdas, dan produktif di Kanagarian Sungai Nyalo.

Abstract

Soccer is a complex sport that requires excellent physical condition. One of the important physical conditions that soccer players have is endurance or VO2Max. Therefore, a training method is needed to increase the VO2Max of soccer players, to maintain the skills they have. This study aims to compare interval training and continuous running in increasing the VO2Max of soccer players. This study is quasi-experimental with a two-group post-test design. The subjects in this study were 24 people with an average age of 23.46 years. All players are members of one of the amateur clubs in West Sumatra. They are players who only train 3 times a week. The subjects were then grouped into 2 groups through the ordinary matched pairing technique so that the interval training group was 12 people and the continuous running group was 12 people. The player's VO2Max data is obtained by conducting a test using a multi-stage fitness test (bleep test). After all the data is obtained then analyzed using the t-test. The results indicate a significant difference between the two training methods, where interval training is more effective than continuous running, it can be seen that tcount > ttable = 2.17 > 1.796. So, it can be concluded that interval training is better than continuous running in improving the VO2Max of soccer players.

Abstract

In this modern era, unhealthy living habits and lack of physical activity have led to increasing health problems related to physical fitness. Therefore, it is important to inspire people to be more aware of the importance of maintaining health and fitness. The purpose of this study discuss innovative strategies in increasing public awareness of the importance of physical fitness through the magic of motivation. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research model that is a literature study that uses various literature reviews to strengthen research analysis. This research began by collecting some literature, then conducted a review and the collected literature was analyzed with a critical Appraisal table of 10 literature. This study explores new and innovative motivational approaches to influence people to increase their awareness of physical fitness. Various motivational strategies, such as technology use, gamification, support communities, and promotion through social media, were analyzed in the context of increasing active participation in physical activity. The results of this study show that the implementation of innovative motivation strategies can have a significant effect in increasing public awareness of the importance of physical fitness. Technology can be used to track progress and provide motivation through apps and wearable devices. The use of game or gamification elements in fitness programs also helps increase community participation and engagement. The study concludes that innovative motivational strategies can work wonders in raising public awareness of the importance of physical fitness. With a creative and integrated approach, we can encourage behaviour change and help people to adopt healthier lifestyles, and maintain their health and fitness.
