Abstract

The problems that are often faced by the campus in the management of selecting the best students which are carried out once a year in a series of graduation events are the length of the process of calculating student data which is still done manually, criteria that have not been fulfilled optimally and are still based on value calculations alone, and processing is still manual. so that errors and data errors often occur which are quite fatal, subjective selection is still a common problem in the world of education so it is necessary to select outstanding students using a system. The system used is a decision support system that has the quality and logic of a method in a selective selection process with a high level of accuracy, while the method used is the MOOSRA method which is a decision support system method that is easy to understand and systematic stages that are easy to do. The results in this study were a student named Zainal as the owner of the highest score of 0.418397, accurate, efficient and effective results in the use of a decision support system made the selection process much more reliable

Abstract

Technological developments have occurred at this time. The rapid development of technology forces students to be wiser in using it. One of the functions of technology is to become a learning medium like a cell phone. HP, which has become an obligation for students, has given rise to ideas for experts to bring up many new applications, especially in the field of mathematics. The emergence of these various applications makes students confused to choose which one is feasible to choose. To solve this problem, a Decision Support System is needed. SPK is a computer-based system whose function is to assist parties or individuals who need it, especially in making a decision. SPK can function properly, if you use the method. The method used in Ono's research is the EDAS method. The EDAS method is a method that uses a formula or formula, where the decision is generated from positive and negative distances. Based on this study, the results were found, namely alternative A1 with the name of the application, namely QANDA with a value of 0.0767 as the highest score

Abstract

Respiratory system disease diagnosis often faces challenges in ensuring the accuracy of results due to the complexity of overlapping symptoms. In particular, a method is needed that is able to handle data uncertainty and utilize existing evidence optimally. This study aims to compare two methods, namely Bayes' Theorem and Dempster-Shafer, in diagnosing three types of respiratory diseases: Asthma, Tuberculosis, and Bronchitis. The solution is done by analyzing the percentage of confidence produced by each method based on symptom data. The results show that Bayes' Theorem produces the highest confidence for Tuberculosis (74.92%), while Dempster-Shafer provides the highest confidence for Bronchitis (80%). This comparison indicates that the selection of methods must be adjusted to the characteristics of the data and the needs of the analysis. This study contributes to providing insight into the advantages and disadvantages of each method, which can be used as a reference in developing a more accurate disease diagnosis decision support system.
