Abstract

Numeracy skills and academic achievement are key indicators of student educational success and are influenced by both cognitive and non-cognitive factors. However, previous studies have often examined logical–mathematical intelligence and a growth mindset separately, so empirical evidence on their combined role in influencing numeracy skills and academic achievement remains limited. Therefore, this study investigates the influence of logical–mathematical intelligence and growth mindset, both independently and interactively, on students’ numeracy skills and academic achievement. This study employed an exploratory quantitative factorial design using a two-way Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) approach, involving a small sample of 30 ninth-grade students from a public junior high school in Jepara, Indonesia, which requires cautious interpretation of the findings. The results indicate that logical–mathematical intelligence has a significant effect on students’ numeracy skills (p < .001), while growth mindset significantly affects students’ academic achievement (p = .02). However, there is no significant interaction between logical–mathematical intelligence and growth mindset on both dependent variables (p = .937). Based on the results, these findings indicate that logical–mathematical intelligence and growth mindset are independently associated with different learning outcomes, rather than exerting a combined or interactive effect.

Abstract

Rising flood risks in tropical riparian zones due to climate variability necessitate robust early warning systems. This study evaluates the effectiveness of the Additive Holt-Winters Exponential Smoothing model in forecasting seasonal river water levels to enhance flood mitigation strategies for the Bengawan Solo River. A quantitative approach was employed using secondary data from the Jurug Observation Post (January 2021–January 2025), aggregated into 49 monthly observations. The analysis proceeded through four systematic stages: stationarity testing (ADF), seasonal decomposition, parameter optimization () using RStudio, and forecast verification. Decomposition analysis revealed a distinct additive seasonal pattern with consistent peaks in February and a historical downward trend (), validating the model selection. The model achieved exceptional accuracy with a Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) of 0.4725%, outperforming traditional intuitive monitoring. Forecasts for 2025 indicate water levels will remain below the alert threshold, though seasonal peaks require vigilance. Unlike complex neural network models requiring extensive datasets, this study offers novelty by demonstrating that the parsimonious Holt-Winters method provides a strategic balance between computational efficiency and high accuracy (error) in data-limited regions. These findings imply that disaster management agencies can shift from reactive emergency response to proactive maintenance of flood control infrastructure based on reliable medium-term projections.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study systematically reviews the role of digital technologies in the design of mathematics teaching and learning over the past decade. It aims to evaluate how digital tools have been integrated into task and lesson design, identifying emerging trends, challenges, and innovations. Methodology: A systematic literature review (SLR) following the PRISMA framework was conducted, analyzing studies published between 2014 and 2023. A total of 32 studies were included, sourced from various academic databases. These studies were examined to explore the use of digital technologies such as GeoGebra, Dynamic Geometry Environments (DGE), mobile apps, and others in mathematics instruction. Main Findings: The review found that digital technologies, particularly GeoGebra and DGE, were frequently used to enhance mathematical exploration and conjecturing. Other tools, including mobile applications, augmented reality (AR), and AI, have contributed to innovative teaching strategies, increasing student engagement and understanding. However, challenges such as unequal access to technology and the need for teacher training in tool integration were identified. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study provides a unique contribution by focusing not only on the use of digital tools but also on their role within the broader teaching design context. It offers insights into how these technologies shape pedagogical strategies, helping educators design more effective and inclusive mathematics education environments.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the priority order of work accident areas in the furniture business at CV Pesona Mebelindo. One of the urgencies of this research is that the number of work accidents in Indonesia is still relatively high, so prevention efforts are needed to minimize the number of work accidents. The method used in this research is Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). In this method, there are three important parts, namely goals, criteria and alternatives. The aim of this research is to determine priority areas for work accidents. The criteria in this research include workers, environment and equipment. Meanwhile, alternatives in this research include the raw goods room, material room, sanding room, finishing, packing and stuffing. The data collection process was obtained from questionnaires filled out by workers at CV Pesona Mebelindo which were processed into a pairwise comparison matrix, matrix normalization, determining importance weights, and calculating consistency ratios with the condition that the CR value had to be below 10%. By using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, the priority order of work accident areas at CV Pesona Mebelindo was obtained, namely the sanding, finishing, packing, stuffing, materials room and raw goods room

Abstract

Abstract:Currently, hijab is very interesting thing in the community. Seeing from the many uses of hijab by Muslim women, the production of hijab is adjusted to those needs. The problem faced by hijab producers is how much hijab will be made with all constraints and limitations. One method that can be used for optimization of production planning is Fuzzy Linear Program and LINDO Program. Fuzzy Linear Program is a linear program method that is applied in a fuzzy environment, while the LINDO program is a program designed to solve linear cases of programming which use certain formats to be processed by LINDO program. From the above problems, the authors solve this hijab production problem using Fuzzy Linear Programming to determine the right number for each model with maximum profit. Keywords:Hijab, Fuzzy Linear Programming, Simplex Method, LINDO.

Abstract

The National Literacy Movement (GLN) refers to the World Economic Forum (WEF), and the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) states that literacy numeracy is one of the basic literacy that must be mastered in the 21st century. However, PISA results show that Indonesian students have low literacy numeracy skills. The Ministry of Education followed up to replace the National Examination (UN) with a Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM). AKM is an essential competency assessment that is tested on students used to measure learners' reasoning ability when faced with problems that require literacy and numeracy skills, namely problems that require basic mathematical knowledge. This study uses the method of literature study. This study aims to examine efforts to improve numeracy capabilities. Efforts that can be made to improve numeracy skills are by providing materials and integrating learning with ethnomathematics approaches, giving higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) that are associated with real life, and utilization of interactive learning games
