Abstract

Background: Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19) is a new type of virus that attacks the body's immunity and can cause death. The death rate due to the virus varies, depending on the infected population, regulations applied by the government, and the availability of laboratory tests. Aims: This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge of Covid-19 vaccination and the completeness of Covid-19 vaccination in the area of Rt.06 Rw.03 Randu Barat, Sidotopo Wetan Village, Kenjeran District. Methods: This study uses a correlation study design with a Cross-Sectional approach. The research population was residents of RT.06 RW.03 Randu Barat, Sidotopo Wetan Village, Kenjeran District, with a sample of 47 respondents taken using a simple random sampling technique. The independent variable is knowledge of the covid-19 vaccination, the dependent variable is the completeness of the covid-19 vaccination. Data were collected using a questionnaire, with an ordinal data scale and analyzed using the Rank Spearman Correlation test (alpha 0.05). Results: The results showed that almost half of the respondents (47.7%) had good knowledge about Covid-19 vaccination, and most of the respondents (72.3%) had incomplete vaccinations. Based on the Spearman Rank test analysis showed that there was an opposite relationship between knowledge and completeness of vaccination (p 0.000 < 0.05), and the correlation coefficient was -0.453, meaning the strength of the correlation between the two variables was strong. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between knowledge and completeness of vaccination. So, it is hoped that it can add insight into public knowledge and awareness regarding the willingness to vaccinate against Covid-19.

Background: the trend of teenagers hanging out with their friends nowadays is smoking. Many teenagers in Indonesia smoke because they are carried away by their environment. According to The Tobacco Control Atlas ASEAN Region 5th shows that Indonesia is the country with the highest number of smokers. The younger the smoking age, the longer the smoking habit. The longer a person's smoking habit, the greater the chance that person will get sick from smoking Aims: This study aims to look at factors from within adolescents to be able to bring up the intention to quit smoking. Methods: This study used a cross-sectional design. The sample selection used purposive technical sampling with a vulnerable age of 13-21 years. Logistic regression analysis was used to see whether there was a relationship between attitudes, subjective norms, perceptions, and self-efficacy towards the intention to quit smoking. Results: 30 teenagers were sampled in this study, aged 13-20 years, and the majority were in grade 3 of junior high school. Self-confidence or self-efficacy is the variable that has the greatest influence on the emergence of intention to stop smoking (0.000; 0.845). The existence of a very strong self-confidence to be able to quit smoking will bring up a very strong intention as well. Conclusion: smoking is an activity that is very detrimental to oneself and others. Many teenagers today since junior high school already have a smoking habit. Therefore, it is necessary to have a special method to bring out the intention of teenagers to quit smoking

Abstract

Adolescent students who have a physical disability oftentimes have difficulty to be able to accept themselves. This problem may then hinder adolescent students to see objectively their strengths and potentials. Through an experiment with a one-group pretest-posttest design, this study aimed to examine the effect of self-disclosure training on the self-acceptance of adolescent students with cerebral palsy. Participants were four adolescent students from ages 14 to 16 with cerebral palsy, who were selected based on purposive sampling. The results showed that self-disclosure training significantly increased self-acceptance. Self-disclosure training is thus an effective intervention in promoting the self-acceptance of adolescent students with cerebral palsy. This finding implies that, regardless of their physical deficiencies, it is important for adolescent students to realize and appreciate the strengths and weaknesses they have.

Abstract

Background: Patient satisfaction is a core indicator of healthcare performance and a major determinant of service utilization, trust, and loyalty. The quality of healthcare services is influenced by multiple dimensions, and the SERVQUAL (RATER) framework is widely used to assess patient perceptions of service quality. Evidence from Indonesian maternal and child hospitals remains limited, particularly regarding the role of tangible and interpersonal service attributes. Objective: This study aimed to analyze the association between health service quality based on RATER dimensions and patient satisfaction at RSIA IBI Surabaya. Methods: A quantitative analytic study with a cross-sectional design was conducted among 60 respondents selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire with a four-point Likert scale and analyzed using Spearman Rank correlation to examine the relationship between each RATER dimension and satisfaction levels. Ethical principles were maintained through informed consent, anonymity, and voluntary participation. Results: Most respondents perceived the quality of healthcare services as high across the RATER dimensions, dominated by empathy (65.0%) and tangibles (60.0%). Patient satisfaction was also mostly high (83.3%). All dimensions demonstrated statistically significant correlations with satisfaction (p < 0.05), where tangibles (r = 0.615) and responsiveness (r = 0.592) were identified as the strongest predictors. Conclusion: Health service quality strongly influences patient satisfaction, particularly through physical facilities and responsiveness. Hospitals should prioritize improvements in facility readiness, timely service delivery, and patient-centered communication to enhance satisfaction and loyalty. Future studies involving larger and multicenter populations are recommended to strengthen external validity.
