Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi Student Facilitator and Explaining (SFE) pada model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV pada mata pelajaran IPS di UPT SPF SD Inpres Bontomanai Kota Makassar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV yang berjumlah 50 siswa, terdiri dari kelas IV-A sebanyak 25 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas IV-B sebanyak 25 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket motivasi dan tes hasil belajar berupa pretest dan posttest. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, angket, tes, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan statistik deskriptif dan inferensial menggunakan uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk, uji homogenitas Levene, dan uji hipotesis dengan Paired Sample t-test serta Mann-Whitney, menggunakan bantuan program SPSS versi 30. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan motivasi dan hasil belajar pada kedua kelompok, namun peningkatan yang lebih signifikan terjadi pada kelas eksperimen. Rata-rata skor motivasi belajar kelas eksperimen meningkat sebesar 31,36 poin, dan hasil belajar meningkat sebesar 18,04 poin. Sedangkan kelas kontrol hanya mengalami peningkatan motivasi sebesar 7,96 poin dan hasil belajar sebesar 5,08 poin. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis, diperoleh nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 yang menunjukkan bahwa H₀ ditolak dan H₁ diterima. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari penerapan strategi Student Facilitator and Explaining dalam model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas IV di UPT SPF SD Inpres Bontomanai Kota Makassar. Strategi ini terbukti lebih efektif dibandingkan pembelajaran konvensional karena mendorong keterlibatan aktif siswa, meningkatkan partisipasi, serta menciptakan suasana belajar yang menyenangkan dan kontekstual.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Wordwall-based interactive media implemented through the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model on students’ interest and learning outcomes in social studies. The research employed an experimental method with a pretest–posttest control group design. The sample consisted of 42 fourth-grade students from SDN 17 Langnga-Langnga and SDN 39 Tamalalang in Cluster I, Minasatene District, Pangkajene and Islands Regency. Data were collected using questionnaires, observations, achievement tests, and documentation. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics with JASP, including normality and homogeneity tests, independent samples t-test, ANOVA, and MANOVA. The results indicated that the implementation of Wordwall-based interactive media through the TGT model had a significant positive effect on students’ interest and learning outcomes. The independent samples t-test showed a significance value of p < .001, indicating differences between the experimental and control groups. Furthermore, MANOVA results (p < .001) confirmed a simultaneous effect on both dependent variables. It can be concluded that the integration of Wordwall and the TGT learning model effectively improves students’ engagement and academic achievement in social studies at the elementary school level.

Abstract

The main problem of this research is Is there any influence of the use of picture card media in the cooperative learning model on the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students of Gunung Sari 1 Makassar State Elementary School? The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the use of picture card media in the cooperative learning model on the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students of Gunung Sari 1 Makassar State Elementary School. This type of research is experimental research in the form of a pre-experimental design used is one group pretest-posttest design general pre-test and post-test one group. The total sampling technique was chosen because the population is small and limited to one class, making it possible to cover all members without the need for random sampling. By using total sampling, the results of the study are expected to provide an accurate picture of the characteristics and conditions of all V.A class students without the risk of sampling errors of fifth-grade students of Gunung Sari 1 Makassar State Elementary School in the 2024/2025 academic year. The experimental unit in this study was 31 fifth-grade students. The results of this study indicate that teachers who use picture cards can improve student learning outcomes positively. The use of picture cards demonstrated improved learning outcomes compared to before the use of picture cards. The results of the inferential statistical analysis using the t-test formula showed a calculated t-value of 7.46 with a frequency of db = 31-1 = 30. At a significance level of 5%, the t-table value was 2.04. Therefore, the calculated t-table or null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Hₗ) was accepted. This proves that the use of picture cards has an effect on the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at Gunung Sari 1 Elementary School, Makassar.
