Abstract

The increasing number of inhabitant in Sukacai village, Jiput – Pandeglang leads to the risen of clean water demand. However, along with the raising of demand, the groundwater availability has decreased. During the dry season, the water quality is poor and the rate of flow tends to be critical. As a consequence, the community is suffering from the scarcity of clean water supply for daily consumption and household necessity. This community service program aims to fulfill the needs of groundwater supply by applying the geophysical method, to recommend the depth of aquifer and construct the well of groundwater. The method is carried out using geo-electrical instruments to reveal the depth of aquifer as the source of groundwater. Another social approach is performed by educating the community about the optimization of well construction, as well as the effect of shallow and deep well construction towards the rate and quality of groundwater. The session has been wrapped with sharing and discussion. As a result, the authors recommend the depth of well construction is approximately 20 m for shallow well and 50 m for moderate well. The moderate well option is more recommended to avoid any contamination of pollution source as well as to maintain the flow rate during dry season.

Abstract

Negara Indonesia terletak pada pertemuan tiga lempeng dunia yaitu Lempeng Eurasia, Pasifik dan Indo-Australia. Posisi tersebut menyebabkan Indonesia dilalui oleh 2 jalur pegunungan dunia, yaitu Sirkum Mediterania dan Sirkum Pasifik. Hal tersebut menyebabkan Indonesia memiliki banyak gunung berapi, dan sebagian masih aktif sampai saat ini. Keberadaan gunung berapi tersebut memberikan dampak besar bagi masyarakat. Dampak positifnya seperti tanah yang subur dan sumber daya alam yang melimpah. Dampak negatifnya adalah bahaya letusan gunung berapi dan potensi-potensi bencana alam yang lainnya seperti gempa tektonik. Pelaksanaan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk membantu meningkatkan kesadaran dan pengetahuan masyarakat dalam menghadapi bencana alam dari “the silent killer”, kemudian juga untuk menimalisir risiko dan atau dampak yang mungkin terjadi karena suatu bencana, seperti korban jiwa (kematian), kerugian ekonomi, dan kerusakan sumber daya alam. Kegiatan penyuluhan Program Edukasi Geologi dan Mitigasi Bencana  ini telah dilakukan di Sekolah Menengah Atas Swasta Pesat Bogor, Jawa Barat. Metodologi yang dilakukan berupa pengambilan data kuesioner terhadap peserta sebanyak 30 responden saat sebelum dan sesudah penyuluhan agar terlihat hasil kesampaian dari sistim penyuluhan ini. Berdasarkan hasil statistik dari data kuesioner tersebut menunjukan bahwa program edukasi geologi ini dapat diterima oleh seluruh responden dengan sangat baik.

Abstract

DOI:10.17014/ijog.9.3.In exploration, the investigation of prospective area encounters several barriers of land ownership, budget limitation and exhausting permit procedures. To speed up the exploration activities of bauxite deposits, bauxite characteristics and grades of the gap areas should be simulated based on the available set of test pit data. This study aimed to address the limitations and optimize the exploration boundaries using R. R data analysis weaves the framework of kriging geostatistics that required information from the adjacent data. This study utilizes the geochemical data of Al2O3, Fe2O3, SiO2 and TiO2 from 296 test pit sampling sites to extrapolate the blank data. The geochemical data used for R analysis were taken from bauxite horizon, while the other mineralogical properties were taken entirely from the exposed bedrock and test pit data. To verify the result of R analysis, recent data of the simulated area were used as a comparison. The R result shows the prediction value is slightly below the actual value of Al2O3. The kriging simulation of Al2O3 was correlated with test pit and mineralogical characters of samples and reveals that the predicted value of simulation closely represents the true value of Al2O3 grades. Extrapolation results of Fe2O3 and RSiO2 with regards to Al2O3 grades are suggesting that higher grade of bauxite underwent desilication and deferruginization as evidenced by a high value of Index of Lateritization. It can be inferred that this attempt points out the advantages of a quick and reliable projection of bauxite laterite deposits from the limited parameters.

Abstract

Permasalahan pendidikan yang mendasar sering berkaitan dengan penanaman pemahaman konsep yang kadang-kadang keliru. Suatu kesalahan dalam memahami konsep yang ditunjukan dengan kesalahan saat mengungkapkan ataupun menjelaskan suatu konsep dan tidak sesuai dengan teori ilmiahnya disebut miskonsepsi. Tujuan dari penelitian adalah Menganalisis Miskonsepsi Pada Konsep Gerak Lurus Menggunakan CRI Kelas X SMA N 2 Ujung Batu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah menggunakan penelitian deskriptif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah kelas X SMA N 2 Ujung Batu, sedangkan sampelnya yaitu kelas X MIA 1 SMA N 2 Ujung Batu. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan simple random sampling yaitu pengambilan anggota sampel dari populasi dilakukan secara acak tanpa memperhatikan strata yang ada dalam populasi tersebut. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi sebesar 36,67 % dan persentase tingkat pemahaman siswa yang paling kecil terletak pada kategori “paham konsep tetapi kurang yakin” dengan rata-rata persentase 6,06 . Sedangkan rata-rata persentase pemahaman siswa pada kategori paham konsep dan tidak tahu konsep yakni sebesar 35,15  dan 22,12 .

Abstract

The term "electrofacies" was introduced in 1980 by Serra and Abbott, it had been developed promptly since 2009. The development was triggered predominantly by wireline logging technology and artificial intelligence technology. The electrofacies categorization was intended to facilitate the study of reservoir characterization. However, it is difficult to formulate deterministically, due to the uniqueness of the depositional environment and geological processes that involve many physical properties. At least, there are 369 articles which were obtained from Scopus sources in the period of 1980 - 2021. In this bibliometric analysis, we regrouped the articles into four groups, i.e. “pattern recognition” “facies analysis”, “objectives” and “quality”. This grouping was attained on the methods of co-occurences, co-authorship, citation analysis and bibliographic coupling using VOSviewer software. The distance and coupling between themes will determine the level of quality and quantity of discussion between them. The quality of the objective resides in the certainty value of the lithology controlled by transportation or diagenetic events. For example, sand and shale which are siliciclastic lithology will have a higher degree of certainty than carbonate rocks. Therefore, the wide gap occurred during the application of artificial intelligence, especially for complex facies and uncertain geological conditions. The application of artificial intelligence is not solely functional without involving geological analysis. The implication is some researchs are still needed from this point of view, so the electrofacies role cannot be independent without developing models of the diagenetic process.

Abstract

Infiltration is the process of entering water into the soil, infiltration capacity is the ability of the soil to absorb water per unit time. This study aims to determine the path of infiltration in the process of groundwater formation. This research was conducted in the Rumpin area, Bogor Regency, West Java Province. The method used in this study was carried out in two ways including collecting secondary data and primary data. Secondary data in the form of slope maps, rainfall maps. Primary data obtained from the results of field mapping (survey) and geology. The two data are correlated using the Geographic Information system so as to produce a map of the infiltration rate which has one unit which is sufficient, the soil type map, namely sand with poor gradation, the MAT map has three units, namely low, medium, adequate, the slope map has five units, namely very steep, steep, rather steep, sloping, flat, rainfall maps have one unit, namely height.

Abstract

Disasters are events that can endanger life and disrupt people's lives. It can be caused by natural and non-natural factors, as well as those caused intentionally by humans, resulting in fatalities, property losses, natural and environmental damage, and psychological effects on disaster victims. Natural disasters themselves are a threat to the community and the Regent. The Rumpin District, Bogor Regency, as the capital of the candidate for the newly autonomous region of West Bogor Regency, has triggered population growth and the development of the area has become very fast. Deliberation of the potential and resources owned and assessed to be a strategic area because it borders the City of South Tangerang, Banten. Therefore, the activities of managing natural resources and the environment as well as regional development must pay attention to the preservation of their functions and capabilities so that development activities do not become a trigger for disasters, and the location of the development must be in an area that is safe from disasters. This study was conducted to find out how the geological conditions are related and the factors that affect the potential for landslides, and to make a map of the land movement susceptibility zone in the research area. This research uses Geographic Information System (GIS) and the parameter assessment method, where the parameters needed are geological parameters, soil type, rainfall, land use, and slope. The disaster risk zoning is expected to be a source of knowledge for the community and the city government of Bogor for disaster mitigation and increase awareness related to land movement vulnerability zones.

Abstract

Sumber daya air selain air sungai dan air hujan yaitu air tanah yang memiliki peran penting dalam menjaga keseimbangan dan ketersediaan air. Adanya struktur perlapisan batuan dan keberadaannya yang berada di bawah permukaan maka diperlukannya suatu metode yang dapat digunakan untuk mengindentifikasi keberadaan akuifer air tanah. konfigurasi schlumberger dapat untuk mendeteksi adanya non-homogenitas lapisan batuan di permukaan, yaitu dengan membandingkan nilai resistivitas semu ketika mengalami perubahan jarak elektroda Dari hasil analisis dan interpretasi nilai-nilai resistivitas, lapisan batuan pada daerah penelitian dapat di golongkan kedalam 3 jenis yaitu endapan alluvium, lempung dan endapan pasir sebagai akuifer. Pada daerah penelitian diperoleh nilai resistivity untuk akuifer sebesar 8 – 30 ohm-m dengan akuifer tertekan berada pada kedalaman 11 - 26 meter dan akuifer tertekan pada kedalaman 36 – 43,1 meter dengan pola sebaran akuifer menyebar dari arah utara ke arah selatan.

Abstract

Pencemaran limbah industri di Depok masih menjadipersoalan yang diangkat karena kandungannya yang tidaksesuai dengan baku mutu yang ditentukan pemerintah. Kandungan yang dapat mencemari adalah kadar chemical oxygen demand (COD), biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), dan total suspended solid (TSS) yang cukup tinggi. Salah satu limbahnya adalah limbah tahu yang menghasilkan baubusuk dan mencemari lingkungan ketika dibuang langsungke badan air. Kurangnya edukasi dan informasi pemilikindustri tahu akan keekonomisan limbah menyebabkanpembuangan langsung ke badan sungai tanpa diolah terlebihdahulu. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan Pengabdian kepadaMasyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakanlimbah cair industri tahu sebagai media kultur Spirulina spdan memberikan edukasi kepada masyarakat khususnyapemilik pabrik tahu untuk dapat memanfaatkan kembalilimbah cairnya. Dalam pelaksanaannya sendiri dilakukanbeberapa metode atau tahapan hingga bisa mencapaikeberhasilan, yaitu studi literatur, pengambilan sampel, pelaksanaan pengkajian air limbah, dan penyuluhan sertapelatihan. Sehingga hasil dari kegiatan ini berupa pembuktianbahwa dari limbah cair industri tahu tersebut dapatdimanfaatkan sebagai media kultivasi Spirulina sp. yang kemudian memberikan nilai tambah ekonomi sekaligusmengurangi pencemaran lingkungan. Hal ini dilihat dari hasilkultivasi Spirulina pada hari ke-10 di mana nilai Optical Density (OD) yang terus meningkat dan dapat dilakukanpemanenan untuk dimanfaatkan lebih lanjut.
