Abstract

Daerah resapan air adalah salah satu bagian terpenting dalam siklus hidrologi yang ditujukan untuk mengalirkan air tanah, sehingga menentukan stabilitas dan keberlanjutan air tanah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi air tanah pada daerah penelitian. Penelitian ini dilakukan didaerah Kecamatan Binakal, Kabupaten Bondowoso, Provinsi Jawa Timur dengan tujuan mengetahui sebaran akuifer di daerah tersebut. Metodologi yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah pemetaan lapangan (survey) dan pengambilan data resistivitas batuan dengan menggunakan metode ADMT. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pengambilan data jenis batuan, jenis tanah, pengukuran resistivitas ADMT dan data muka air tanah di lapangan sebagai data primernya dan juga menggunakan data sekunder berupa peta kelerengan, peta curah hujan, serta peta tutupan lahan yang kemudian dari data–data tadi diolah menggunakan sistem informasi geografis sehingga menghasilkan peta zonasi dan kedalaman air tanah. Sumber air tanah (akuifer) terbagi menjadi 3 lapisan, lapisan pertama merupakan akuifer bebas dengan kedalaman antara 10 meter sampai 40 meter. Akuifer ini menyebar diseluruh area penelitian. Lapisan akuifer yang kedua merupakan akuifer tertekan dengan kedalaman antara 140 m hingga 200 m. akuifer ini terpisahkan atas batuan kedap air. Lapisan akuifer yang ketiga merupakan lapisan akuifer dalam dan merupakan akuifer artesis dengan kedalaman diatas 250 meter. Nilai rata-rata resistivitas batuan di deerah penelitian antara 4 hingga 14 ohm meter dengan batuan penyusun adalah batu pasir.

Abstract

Graphite is a non-metallic polymorph mineral formed by carbon. Graphite has become indispensable in the worldwide industry due to its widespread applications, such as industrial uses, energy transition, and even electricity. It is a critical anode element for lithium-ion batteries. Graphite has unique physical characteristics. It has a very low specific gravity and is an extraordinarily soft but highly conductive material. It is exceptionally heat-resistant, making it applicable in metallurgy and manufacturing. Due to all characteristics, graphite occurrences in Indonesia are slightly unknown. In contrast, there is a possibility, according to some Palaeozoic metamorphic host graphite in several parts of Indonesia. This study will enlighten early-step exploration of graphite potency in Balai Sebut, Sanggau Regency, and West Kalimantan. We combined airborne and ground geophysics using Active Directory Magnetotelluric (ADMT) tools to estimate graphite distribution on the surface and subsurface. We also did laboratory analysis to validate graphite content using petrography analysis, X-ray diffraction (XRD), and carbon analyzer (LECO) of some representative graphite-bearing rock from fieldwork. Graphite in the research area is exposed to the surface, like in Empiyang, whereas potential graphite in the Terati area lies 0-6 m below the subsurface. Petrographic analysis shows that graphite occurs as flake graphite that is characterized by widespread distribution with low thickness. Both LECO and XRD confirmed the occurrence of these graphite-bearing rocks, with the total amount of graphite ranging from 0.91‒1.58%. This research is expected to provide suggestions in the early stage of graphite exploration based on thematic cases as graphite occurrences in the Balai Sebut area.

Abstract

This study aimed at detecting the presence of groundwater in Masda Makmur Village, Rambah Samo District, Rokan Hulu Regency, using the Schlumberger configuration geoelectric method. The study consisted of 3 sounding points within every 100 m sounding track length. The measurement data is processed using IP2WIN software and Progress to see layer data below the ground level based on the value of the resistivity type. The results showed that the estimated groundwater could be found on track one with a kind of resistivity value of 7,44 Ωm at a depth of 15-22 m. Alleged groundwater can be found on the second track with a type of resistivity value of 75,73  Ωmat a depth of 13-18 m, and the estimated groundwater can be located on the third track with a kind of resistivity value of 82,52 Ωm, 93,26 Ωm. The deeper and the lower resistivity value shows that the layer has the potential as a carrier layer of groundwater (aquifer). Sounding 1 and 2 have the potential to make bore wells which are thought to be depressed aquifer. The results of this study can be used further for mapping the location of community boreholes

Abstract

This study aimed to predict Peak Ground Acceleration (PGA) values for the Bengkulu region using an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) model. The ANN model utilized earthquake parameter inputs, including magnitude, depth, and hypocenter distance, with soil PGA data collected from the Bengkulu City area. The PGA values were estimated using a neural network model, with the results optimized, validated, and evaluated for performance. The model accurately predicted PGA for large-magnitude earthquakes (R² = 0.99 for magnitudes 7.9–6.5). However, its performance declined significantly for smaller magnitudes (R² = 0.0141 for magnitude 4), reflecting challenges in accurately capturing input parameters, like focal depth and epicentre distance for low-magnitude events. Across a magnitude range of 4.0 to 7.9, the model achieved an overall R² value of 0.99, indicating high accuracy, particularly for larger magnitudes. However, the model's performance declined for lower magnitudes, with R² values dropping significantly, attributed to inaccuracies in input parameters, such as focal depth, epicentre distance, and period. The study provided logarithmic equations for each magnitude range tailored to the seismic characteristics of Bengkulu City, highlighting the importance of localized PGA prediction models. The findings suggest the potential effectiveness of the ANN model for improving earthquake early warning systems and seismic risk management in Bengkulu City under simulated conditions, particularly for large-magnitude earthquakes (R² = 0.99). However, the model’s limitations in predicting PGA for low-magnitude events (R² = 0.0141) highlight the need for further refinement before real-world implementation. This research contributes to the growing body of knowledge by validating and refining the ANN approach for region-specific seismic conditions, offering a practical tool for local authorities and disaster management agencies. Future research should improve the model's accuracy for low-magnitude earthquakes and explore hybrid machine learning techniques to enhance predictive.

Abstract

Penurunan kualitas lingkungan hidup, terutama tanah dan air, menjadi salah satu tantangan utama dalam menjaga keberlanjutan sumber daya alam di berbagai daerah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kondisi kualitas tanah dan air di Desa Cikarawang, Kecamatan Dramaga, Kabupaten Bogor, guna memberikan rekomendasi pengelolaan lingkungan yang berkelanjutan. Pengukuran kualitas tanah dilakukan melalui analisis parameter kimia seperti kadar C-organik, N-total, dan KTK, sedangkan kualitas air dianalisis berdasarkan parameter fisik dan kimia, termasuk TDS, pH, dan kandungan logam berat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tekstur tanah di Desa Cikarawang didominasi oleh tanah liat dengan kandungan unsur hara yang cukup tinggi, sehingga cocok untuk penanaman tanaman hias dan pertanian hortikultura. Kualitas air di daerah ini memenuhi standar yang ditetapkan oleh Menteri Kesehatan No. 2 Tahun 2023, dengan parameter fisik dan kimia dalam batas yang diperbolehkan, menjadikan air layak untuk berbagai penggunaan, termasuk air baku dan irigasi. Temuan ini memberikan dasar bagi pemangku kepentingan untuk mengimplementasikan strategi pengelolaan lingkungan yang lebih efektif guna menjaga keseimbangan ekosistem dan memaksimalkan potensi sumber daya alam lokal secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Kegiatan industri bergerak maju kearah yang lebih masif. Seiring berjalannya waktu, kebutuhan akan berbagai komoditas menuntut industri untuk meningkatkan produktiftasnya untuk memenuhi permintaan yang ada. Faktor penting yang sering menimbulkan kecelakaan dan penyakit akibat kerja bagi pekerja di perusahaan yaitu kurangnya implementasi standar K3. Kurangnya penerapan K3 di perusahaan menyebabkan dampak besar pada lingkungan sosial masyarakat sekitar. Demi terlaksananya kegiatan industri yang produktif, Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) merupakan hal utama yang harus diperhatikan agar kegiatan industri dapat berjalan dengan baik. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) memiliki tujuan untuk  menyampaikan betapa pentingnya penerapan K3 di lingkungan kerja industri kepada siswa SMK Migas Cibinong  sehingga nantinya dapat diterapkan saat terjun ke dunia kerja industri.
