Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap hasil belajar kelas VII pada materi Suhu dan Perubahannya. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMPN 20 Kota Bengkulu. Sampel yang diambil dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 2 kelas yakni kelas VII C (kelas yang diajarkan menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) dan kelas VII D (kelas yang diajarkan tidak menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL). Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 20 soal pilihan berganda. Berdasarkan analisis data menggunakan uji t dan hasil yang diperoleh ada beberapa hal yang menjadi temuan dalam penelitian ini adalah: (1) Berdasarkan uji normalitas lilliefors didapat hasil belajar pada pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) adalah Fhitung = 0,76 sedangkan dari daftar uji liliefors pada taraf nyata ∝ = 0,5 maka diperoleh harga Ftabel = 0,161 Sehingga diperoleh Fhitung (0,76) < Ftabel (0,161) yang berarti data hasil belajar siswa berasal dari populasi yang berdistribusi normal. (2) Berdasarkan uji homogenitas diperoleh Fhitung < Ftabel (0,429) < 1,86) hal ini berarti dapat disimpulkan varians berasal dari berdistribusi yang homogen. (3) Untuk pengujian hipotesis diperoleh thitung 1,769 dan ttabel = 1,64. Kriteria pengujian adalah terima Ho jika thitung < ttabel Dalam penelitian ini dipeoleh thitung (1,769) > ttabel (1,64), dengan demikian Ho ditolak dan H1 diterima, berarti ada pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan antara model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap hasil belajar kelas VII SMPN 20 Kota Bengkulu.Kata kunci: Problem Based Learning (PBL), Hasil Belajar.

Abstract

Fenomena menurunnya adab siswa terhadap guru menunjukkan krisis moral yang serius dalam dunia pendidikan Indonesia. Sikap tidak sopan seperti membantah, berbicara kasar, hingga menantang otoritas guru mencerminkan pergeseran nilai dalam masyarakat yang semakin mengedepankan kebebasan individu dan sikap antiotoritas. Artikel ini bertujuan menganalisis faktor-faktor penyebab degradasi adab siswa terhadap guru serta urgensi pendidikan karakter dalam membangun kembali moralitas siswa. Metode yang digunakan berupa kajian pustaka dengan menelaah berbagai literatur terkait pendidikan karakter, etika, dan pengaruh lingkungan sosial terhadap perilaku siswa. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa penyebab utama penurunan adab adalah lemahnya keteladanan, pengaruh media digital, serta menurunnya peran keluarga dan sekolah sebagai pusat pendidikan moral. Pemulihan nilai adab memerlukan sinergi antara guru, orang tua, dan masyarakat melalui pendidikan karakter yang berkesinambungan dan kontekstual. Dengan demikian, penguatan adab siswa merupakan upaya strategis dalam memulihkan esensi pendidikan sebagai proses pembentukan manusia berakhlak mulia. Menurunnya adab siswa terhadap guru menjadi cerminan nyata dari terjadinya krisis moral di lingkungan pendidikan Indonesia. Perubahan sosial dan perkembangan teknologi yang tidak diimbangi dengan penguatan karakter telah melemahkan nilai-nilai sopan santun dan penghormatan terhadap guru sebagai figur pendidik. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa degradasi adab dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, antara lain melemahnya keteladanan dari orang tua dan guru, pengaruh negatif media digital, serta berkurangnya peran keluarga dan sekolah dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai moral.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan modul pembelajaran IPA berbasis hands-on learning untuk meningkatkan literasi sains siswa kelas IX pada materi siklus karbon di SMP Negeri 5 Kota Bengkulu. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE. Modul dirancang agar siswa aktif melalui eksperimen, observasi, dan diskusi. Hasil validasi menunjukkan modul sangat layak, efektif, dan praktis digunakan. Uji coba kelompok kecil menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman siswa dengan rata-rata 80,46%, mayoritas di atas 70%. Modul juga mendapat respons positif dari guru dan siswa karena mudah digunakan. Pada uji coba kelompok besar, 85,53% siswa menilai modul sangat praktis dan menarik, serta membantu dalam memahami materi. Analisis statistik menunjukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kontrol, dengan nilai kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi. Modul ini direkomendasikan untuk pembelajaran IPA guna meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an e-module based on problem-based learning to increase students' problem-solving skills regarding material pressure and its application in everyday life. The subject of this research is an 8th-grade student at a junior high school in Bojonegoro. As for the research, the R&D process is 4-D. This is limited only to the 3D phase, namely, until the module's validity. The e-module was validated by four validators: one expert in learning, one in language, one in materials, and one in media. Results validation will be analyzed using a presentation of the results of 4 expert validators. The results from validation by the four validators conclude that the e-module developed its own score (89.4%), which is included in the very valid category. Shows e-module-based problem-based learning on material pressure and its application in daily life. An e-module can be used in science instruction to improve students' problem-solving skills.

Abstract

Pembelajaran IPA di tingkat SMP masih menghadapi tantangan dalam mengoptimalkan kemampuan kolaborasi siswa serta memanfaatkan potensi lingkungan sekitar sebagai sumber belajar yang kontekstual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul pembelajaran berbasis Project Based Learning (PjBL) pada materi bioteknologi melalui pemanfaatan limbah pelepah sawit menjadi pupuk kompos di SMP Negeri 19 Seluma . Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IX. Instrumen penelitian meliputi lembar validasi ahli, lembar observasi, angket respon siswa, dan rubrik penilaian kemampuan kolaborasi. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa modul berada pada kategori sangat layak, dengan persentase penilaian ahli materi sebesar 93,33%, ahli bahasa 88,15%, dan ahli media 86,30%. Implementasi modul menunjukkan kemampuan kolaborasi siswa berada pada kategori tinggi, dengan persentase skor rubrik kelompok 1 sebesar 72,31% dan kelompok 2 sebesar 87,69%. Selain itu, hasil angket respon siswa memperoleh persentase rata-rata sebesar 82,38% dengan kategori baik. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, modul yang dikembangkan dinyatakan layak dan efektif digunakan sebagai alternatif sumber belajar IPA.

Abstract

The low learning outcomes of third-grade students at SDN 2 Rambang in Science learning. Therefore, innovation through game-based learning is needed. This research aims to improve the learning outcomes of third-grade students at SDN 2 Rambang on the topic of the life cycle of living things in Science learning using the game-based learning method. The subjects of this research were 19 third-grade students at SDN 2 Rambang. The method used in this research was Classroom Action Research which was carried out in 2 cycles. The instruments used included observation sheets, learning outcome tests, and documentation. The results of the research showed that the application of the game-based learning method could improve student learning outcomes. In the pre-cycle, only 6 out of 19 students (31.6%) achieved scores above the Minimum Completeness Criteria. In the first cycle, this increased to 12 students (63.2%), and in the second cycle, it further increased to 19 students 100%). In addition to the increase in learning outcome scores, students also showed increased motivation, activeness, and understanding of the material. Thus, it can be concluded that the game-based learning method is effective in improving student learning outcomes in Science learning, especially on the topic of the life cycle of living things.

Abstract

This study examined the effect of using learning media in teaching the properties of light on junior high school students’ learning outcomes and critical thinking skills in science. A quantitative approach was employed using a one-group pre-test–post-test design. The sample was selected randomly, and data were collected through a critical thinking test administered before and after the treatment. The findings revealed that the use of learning media had a positive and significant impact on students’ performance. Students’ mean score increased from 54.81 on the pre-test to 82.90 on the post-test, indicating substantial improvement in learning outcomes. In addition, students’ critical thinking skills showed marked development, improving from a low category to an excellent level after the implementation of the learning media. Statistical analysis using the t-test further confirmed that the treatment significantly enhanced students’ critical thinking abilities. These results suggest that integrating learning media into science instruction, particularly in the topic of the properties of light, effectively supports students’ understanding and promotes higher-order thinking. Overall, the study concludes that the use of learning media not only improves academic achievement but also fosters critical thinking skills, which are essential for students’ success in science learning.

Abstract

Science learning in schools is still dominated by the use of textbooks and lecture methods, so students’ involvement in the learning process is not yet optimal. This condition affects students’ conceptual understanding, especially in acid–base material which is abstract in nature. This study aimed to develop and analyze the quality of a science module based on the Learning Cycle 5E on the topic of food acids and bases in terms of design, feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness. This research used a Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The research subjects were ninth-grade students of SMP IT Khairunnas Bengkulu City. The research instruments included expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and learning outcome tests in the form of pretest and posttest. The data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis and statistical tests with the help of SPSS. The results showed that the module was systematically arranged according to the stages of Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, and Evaluate. The validation results indicated that the module was categorized as very feasible in the material aspect (82.08%) and language aspect (82.59%), and feasible in the media aspect (80.78%). The practicality of the module was shown through the teacher response of 100% and student responses in small and large group trials of 86.97% and 88.62%, respectively, both categorized as very good. The effectiveness of the module was indicated by an increase in the students’ average score from 69.90 in the pretest to 92.37 in the posttest with a significant difference. In addition, the N-Gain analysis result of 0.75, which falls into the high category, indicates a substantial improvement in learning outcomes after using the module. Therefore, the Learning Cycle 5E–based module is considered feasible, practical, and effective in improving students’ learning outcomes on the topic of food acids and bases.
