Abstract

Communication Skills Training in Homestay Business for Residents of Desa Wisata Besani Tourism has become a crucial sector in the local economic development and cultural preservation in Indonesia. This article discusses a training activity on communication skills within the context of homestay accommodation for the residents of Besani Tourism Village in Batang Regency, Central Java. The training, successfully conducted in November 2023, involved 28 participants from various segments of society, including homestay operators and members of the Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis). Through lectures and simulations, the pretest and post-test results showed a significant improvement from 18-36% to 89-100% in the understanding of communication skills. The outcomes of this training are expected to assist Besani Tourism Village in developing sustainable homestay businesses by engaging in collaborations with various stakeholders, enhancing management skills, digital marketing, and environmental conservation. This article provides new insights into the importance of communication skills training in the context of homestay accommodation within rural communities and offers recommendations for tourism village officials and residents of Besani Tourism Village to continue their efforts in local tourism development with enthusiasm for collaboration and active participation.

Abstract

Revenge tourism is a travel trip that is meant to take revenge after the end of the pandemic period and is carried out for those who have previously canceled their tour due to the pandemic. Young travelers are one of the fastest growing and most dynamic markets of the tourism sector in this study, their motivation and interest in traveling are influenced by several factors. The study uses a descriptive quantitative approach with the aim of looking at the motivations of young travelers in traveling after the pandemic ends. With the purposive sampling method, it was found that the motivations that influence young travelers' interest in traveling during revenge tourism are escape motivation, relaxation, strengthening family bonds, self-fulfillment, romance, wish fulfillment, financial security, and leisure time. While the motivation that has no effect is the motivation to play, prestige, social interaction, and educational opportunity.

Abstract

Industri jasa penyediaan makanan dan minuman di Indonesia terdiri dari berbagai jenis sektor, yang dimana terdapat industri bakery.  Jenis sektor industry ini adalah jenis industry yang memiliki keunikan karena memiliki ciri khas terhadap citra rasa dan karakteristik bisnis yang berbeda-beda. Bahkan, sektor industry bakery saat ini sudah dapat ditemukan di berbagai titik pasar baik di perkotaan ataupun di daerah. Don Bakeshop adalah salah satu bakery yang terletak pada salah satu pusat perbelanjaan terbesar di Jakarta yaitu Mall Grand Indonesia. Bakery ini sudah berkembang dan memiliki beberapa cabang di Jakarta, Don Bakeshop menyajikan berbagai macam menu seperti croissant, eclair, choux, roti, donat, kue, kopi, dan teh. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh customer satisfaction dan brand image terhadap customer loyalty pada Don Bakeshop Mall Grand Indonesia Jakarta Pusat. Penelitian ini dimulai dari pengembangan dasar teoritis, penyebaran kuesioner, dan pengolahan data serta analisis hasil data. Penelitian ini berhasil menerima 195 responden yang berdomisili di Jabodetabek, Bedasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan terhadap 195 responden, ditemukan bahwa customer satisfaction memiliki hubungan yang positif dan signifikan terhadap loyalitas pelanggan untuk mengunjungi Kembali Don Bakeshop. Hasil perolehan hipotesis brand image juga menunjukan adanya korelasi atau hubungan yang positif dan signifikan terhadap customer loyalty Don Bakery.

Abstract

Studi ini mengeksplorasi kelayakan pendirian Tacokuy, sebuah restoran cloud kitchen yang mengkhususkan diri dalam masakan Meksiko di Bandung, dalam situasi pandemi COVID-19. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menilai potensi pasar, mengidentifikasi segmen konsumen target, serta merumuskan strategi pemasaran yang efektif untuk mencapai kesuksesan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui studi survei. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang disebar kepada penduduk usia produktif di Bandung, dipilih melalui sampel purposif. Survei ini berfokus pada variabel pemasaran 8P, yaitu produk, harga, tempat, promosi, kemasan, pemrograman, orang, dan kerjasama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan potensi pasar yang menjanjikan, didukung oleh pertumbuhan populasi Bandung dan pengeluaran per kapita untuk makanan jadi dan minuman. Konsep cloud kitchen sejalan dengan tren peningkatan layanan pesan antar makanan secara daring di kota ini. Segmentasi pasar membantu mengidentifikasi calon konsumen yang memiliki preferensi terhadap masakan Meksiko, seperti taco, burrito, nachos, dan quesadillas. Studi ini memberikan wawasan berharga bagi pemilik restoran cloud kitchen, terutama dalam era pandemi saat ini, dengan menekankan strategi pemasaran yang efektif untuk menyesuaikan perilaku konsumen yang terus berkembang. Dengan memprioritaskan layanan pesan antar daring, Tacokuy dan bisnis serupa dapat beradaptasi dan berkembang di pasar makanan dan minuman yang kompetitif di Bandung.Kata Kunci: Bauran Pemasaran; Dapur Virtual, Kuliner Meksiko, Layanan Pesan Antar Makanan Daring

Abstract

This study examines the marketing strategy of Zoé Dessert Café in Pantai Indah Kapuk, North Jakarta, within the context of Indonesia's rapidly growing culinary industry. The objective is to assess the café's market potential, competitive landscape, and strategic positioning. A quantitative survey method was employed, collecting data from residents of North Jakarta through questionnaires. The analysis focused on market potential, trends, competitor evaluation, SWOT analysis, and the marketing mix. Results indicate a strong market potential among the 20-44 age group, with a notable interest in unique dessert experiences. Competitor analysis revealed the presence of direct and indirect competitors, emphasizing the need for Zoé Dessert Café to adopt innovative strategies. The SWOT analysis identified strengths such as the café's unique animal-themed desserts and strategic location, while addressing challenges like limited menu variety and brand recognition. Recommended strategies include leveraging social media for promotions, maintaining high-quality standards, fostering customer relationships, and continuous innovation. The segmentation, targeting, and positioning (STP) strategy focuses on young adults and professionals in North Jakarta who frequent cafés and enjoy desserts. The marketing mix strategy highlights diverse products, competitive pricing, strategic location, robust promotional activities, exceptional service quality, appealing packaging, engaging programs, and strategic partnerships.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that influence revisit intention to Sangkan Resort Aqua Park at the end of the COVID-19 pandemic. This research is an explanatory research with quantitative data collected through questionnaires. Results of the validity and reliability tests show that the research instrument is valid and reliable. The results of data analysis show that only the fulfillment variable has a significant influence on the guest's revisit intention. Physical environment, social environment, and price variables do not have a significant effect partially, but simultaneously these four variables have a significant influence on the guest's revisit intention. The coefficient of determination shows that the independent variable can only explain about 24.4% of the variation in intention to return. These findings can provide insight for the hospitality industry at Sangkan Resort Aqua Park to improve service quality and competitiveness. Hotel managers can focus more on meeting guest needs to increase interest in return visits. In addition, this research also contributes to scientific knowledge in the hotel and tourism industry. The results of this research can be used as a reference for developing tourism policies at the regional and national levels and helping local economic growth after the pandemic ends.

Abstract

Abstrak Pekerja di industri perhotelan seharusnya mendapatkan pelatihan pekerjaan khusus berdasarkan pekerjaan mereka karena hal ini akan menciptakan reputasi yang lebih baik untuk hotel. Kebutuhan akan pelatihan, tidak peduli di mana Anda berada dalam tingkat pendidikan, sangat penting, terutama dalam industri yang memerlukan pekerja berketerampilan dengan pelatihan dan pengetahuan yang tepat. Ada pekerja di industri perhotelan di Indonesia yang sebagian besar berasal dari sekolah vokasi, yang menimbulkan kesenjangan antara harapan industri perhotelan dan kurikulum sekolah vokasi. Diamati bahwa SMK Pariwisata Gema Gawita tidak menawarkan kelas mengenai keterampilan komunikasi di departemen front office di sebuah hotel. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari kegiatan pelayanan masyarakat ini adalah memberikan sesi pelatihan bagi siswa di SMK Pariwisata Gema Gawita mengenai keterampilan komunikasi yang diperlukan di departemen front office. Hasil dari program pelatihan dievaluasi menggunakan pre-test dan post-test yang didistribusikan kepada peserta. Hasilnya menunjukkan dampak positif dan signifikan dari program pelatihan yang terlihat dalam perbandingan hasil pre-test dan post-test serta melalui formulir umpan balik yang didistribusikan. Abstract

Culinary tourism has become an important sector of the global tourism industry, offering destinations the opportunity to showcase their cultural identity through food. Pekalongan, a city renowned for its batik heritage, also possesses a rich culinary tradition that reflects its unique cultural identity. Despite its potential, Pekalongan has faced challenges in sustaining its tourism industry, highlighting the need to explore factors that encourage tourists to return. This study investigates the influence of seven factors—Attitude, Emotional Value, Local Food & Beverage Image, Health Value, Prestige Value, Price Value, and Taste/Quality Value—on revisit intention among urban tourists. Using a quantitative, non-experimental design, data were collected from 176 respondents through structured questionnaires and analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The findings reveal that Emotional Value and Taste/Quality Value significantly influence revisit intention, underscoring the importance of emotional connections and high-quality food in motivating repeat visits. Other factors, such as Attitude, Local Food & Beverage Image, and Price Value, contributed to the overall tourist experience but did not independently predict revisit intention. These results suggest that Pekalongan should prioritize strategies that enhance tourists’ emotional engagement and ensure consistent food quality to foster loyalty and increase revisit rates. The study contributes to the understanding of culinary tourism dynamics in smaller cities and provides actionable insights for stakeholders aiming to revitalize tourism through authentic and memorable culinary experiences. Future research should explore additional factors influencing revisit intention and their interactions to provide a more comprehensive understanding of tourist behavior.

Abstract

This study aims to access the potential market for the establishment of Her Haven Guest House, a specialized accommodation designed for female travellers which located in Central of Jakarta. A market survey being used for the research methodology, where the author distributed the questionnaires to the targeted respondents. The study focused on the market and marketing analysis, where the author used SWOT analysis and Porter’s Five Forces. SWOT analysis being used to identify the strength, weakness, opportunities, and threat, while the Porter’s Five Forces being used to identify the level of competitive in accommodation industry. This analysis is conducted to understand the opportunities and the competitive that need to be encounter by Her Haven Guest House. The outcomes of this study are expected to provide insight for the market potential that Her Haven Guest House could have. Additionally, the author hoping that this study might be used as reference for the potential investor seeking to invest in specialized accommodation for female.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi keberlanjutan kuliner tradisional Sunda dalam menghadapi tantangan urbanisasi dan globalisasi di Kota Tangerang Selatan, dengan studi kasus Warung Pecak Duren. Warung ini dikenal dengan keunikannya dalam menyajikan hidangan khas Sunda, seperti pecak ikan, yang disajikan menggunakan metode masak tradisional dan bumbu khas. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, di mana data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dengan pemilik dan pengunjung warung, serta observasi langsung. Analisis SWOT dan SOAR digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang, dan ancaman yang dihadapi oleh Warung Pecak Duren, serta aspirasi dan hasil yang ingin dicapai. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tantangan utama yang dihadapi adalah aksesibilitas lokasi dan persaingan dari restoran modern, namun warung ini mampu bertahan melalui pemanfaatan strategi pemasaran digital, kolaborasi dengan influencer kuliner, serta diversifikasi menu untuk menarik pelanggan baru. Selain itu, keterikatan pelanggan terhadap nilai-nilai budaya dan tradisi juga berkontribusi pada keberlanjutan bisnis ini. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan bagi pengusaha kuliner tradisional dalam mengadaptasi usaha mereka di tengah dinamika modernisasi, sekaligus mendukung pelestarian warisan budaya lokal.
