Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi dan pengetahuan yang sangat pesat memberikan perubahan pada kehidupan manusia. Kemajuan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi telah mampu memberikan pilihan baru untuk pengembangan media pembelajaran bagi dunia pendidikan terutama di masa setelah pandemi. Arus informasi menjadi sangat cepat, sehingga setiap institusi pendidikan beserta setiap individunya dituntut untuk lebih efektif dan efisien, termasuk para peserta didik yang ada di dalam institusi tersebut. Setiap peserta didik dituntut untuk mampu memanfaatkan teknologi informasi sebagai pendukung proses belajarnya, untuk dapat meningkatkan kinerja pembelajarannya. Peserta didik memanfaatkan teknologi informasi untuk berbagai tujuan di dalam proses pembelajarannya. Seringkali tujuan peserta didik yang satu dengan yang lain berbeda, sehingga pemanfaatan teknologi yang dilakukan oleh peserta didik di dalam proses pembelajarannya pun menjadi berbeda-beda. Hal ini dipengaruhi sejauh mana peserta didik dapat menerima pemanfaatan teknologi informasi di dalam proses belajarnya. Penerimaan peserta didik terhadap pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dipengaruhi oleh berbagai macam faktor. Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) sebagai salah satu model pengukuran untuk penerimaan teknologi menjadi acuan untuk menganalisis penerimaan peserta didik terhadap penerimaan teknologi informasi. Konstruk-konstruk akan digunakan untuk menganalisa sejauh mana organisasi maupun individu menerima pemanfaatan teknologi. Hubungan antar konstruk di dalam TAM menghasilkan hipotesis yang diukur dengan Structural Equation Model (SEM).

Abstract

Boarding houses, commonly known as "kost," are residential places typically rented by individuals, serving a function similar to hotels, but with more affordable pricing. With the proliferation of boarding house businesses, residents and newcomers in Batam city face challenges in selecting suitable accommodation based on both price and amenities. Leveraging machine learning, a branch of artificial intelligence (AI), and incorporating various algorithms, a system can be developed to predict the rental prices of boarding houses. This helps individuals make informed decisions regarding the suitability of a boarding house based on their preferences and budget. The algorithms utilized in this study are Linear Regression and Random Forest. The modeling process resulted in R2 Scores, with Linear Regression achieving a score of 64%, while Random Forest outperformed with an impressive 99% R2 Score. Due to the higher R2 Score of Random Forest, this model was selected for the development of a website using the Scrum framework. The outcome of this research is a predictive pricing website for boarding houses, offering a valuable tool for residents and visitors in Batam when seeking to rent or lease a boarding house.

Abstract

Indo Vista Sejahtera is a company that runs on electrical engineer services business, that was built on April 12th, 2006. Their method of financial recording is previously done manually using Microsoft excel which result in lack of efficiency in their work as a running business. The purpose of this project is to help Indo Vista Sejahtera company to improve their financial recording by creating a financial recording software. The data for financial recording software gathered from conducting interview and Observation at Indo Vista Sejahtera company, and the software was created using C# as the programing language, SQL as the database and AGILE as the framework of this project. AGILE is a model consist of 6 process which is requirements which is finding requirement for creating the software, design which is designing the software, development which is creating and developing the software, testing which is testing or debugging the software, deployment which is initialization of the software to their system, and review which is reviewing the software. The result of this project to create a simple bookkeeping software to improve their efficiency in financial recording.

Abstract

Fabrication is a field that is much needed in the industry now due to the increasing industrial sector, one of the companies working in this sector is PT Cipta Indah Bangun Pertiwi. Even though it has been operating for more than 1 decade, it still does not have a website that helps them to reach more customers. For this reason, the author wants to help in achieving sales targets for partners by forming a website that is created as a medium to show the company profile of Cipta Indah Bangun Pertiwi that consists of, detailed information related to company history, contacts, addresses and services provided. This website is designed using couple of programming languages, such as Javascript, and HTML5. This research is expected to help PT CIBP with this website, making it easier for readers to know the background profile and can increase potential customers.

Abstract

Satu Bangsa Harmoni Vocational School is a Batam private school that provides vocational education in Batam City which has been operating since 2008. Satu Bangsa Harmoni Vocational School still uses conventional methods in managing case and counseling data. This research is intended to develop a web-based student counseling system to make it easier for schools to manage student, case and counseling data effectively. The system was designed using the PHP programming language, Codeigniter 4 Framework, MySQL database, and Agile Scrum as a framework. Abstract

Pandemi covid mendorong transformasi digital pada lembaga pendidikan, sehingga memungkinkan pengumpulan data yang sangat besar. Hal ini memberi peluang bagi institusi untuk meningkatkan kualitas layanannya melalui metode machine learning. Penelitian ini berfokus pada pengembangan model clustering untuk segmentasi akademik siswa dengan kerangka kerja SEMMA dan algoritma KMeans. Data yang digunakan untuk pelatihan sebanyak 2000 row dengan parameter nilai, perilaku, cita-cita dan kehadiran.  Model clustering tersebut membagi data siswa menjadi 5 cluster dengan skor silhouette sebesar 0,638. Dimana terdapat siswa yang lemah di semua pelajaran, unggul di beberapa pelajaran, dan unggul di semua pelajaran.

Abstract

In the era of the internet’s exponential growth, readers are often overwhelmed by the plethora of books available, particularly in the genre of light novels. This research aims to address this issue by developing a recommendation system for light novels, utilizing a chatbot interface. The methodology employed follows the Borg and Gall model, with a focus on research, information collection, planning, and development stages. The research stage involved the use of questionnaires to gather data and analyze the parameters to be used in the recommendation system. The development stage was carried out using the Scrum methodology and the Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) approach for the chatbot’s functionality. The outcome of this study is a web-based online light novel application and featuring a chatbot conversational recommender system. Through this system, users can access and read light novels online, while also utilizing the chatbot to request novel recommendations. The research findings demonstrate the successful integration of Large Language Model (LLM) technology into the web-based light novel application. The Scrum development approach facilitated efficient system creation, and the RAG-based chatbots are seen as successful in producing recommendations that match user queries based on existing knowledge. Recommendation results are obtained from semantic search and from the ranking vector with the highest score.

Abstract

Accreditation is one of the important aspects in ensuring the quality of education in higher education, accreditation assessments are carried out periodically by accreditation institutions. The effectiveness of the accreditation process can be a challenge for Universitas Internasional Batam (UIB) in managing and accessing information related to the required accreditation data quickly. In supporting the accreditation team, a solution is needed that can facilitate the acquisition of information quickly and accurately. The design of a chatbot based on Natural Language Processing (NLP) is considered capable of understanding and responding to questions naturally according to the needs of the accreditation team. This chatbot is designed to provide access in the form of statistical data related to student graduation, lecturer research, and other relevant data related and needed as a consideration for accreditation more efficiently. For this reason, the accreditation chatbot is expected to increase the efficiency of the accreditation team's work and become an innovative solution in managing accreditation information.

Abstract

The growth of online video platforms in recent years has been driven by a multitude of factors, including advancements in technology and the increasing availability of high-speed internet. However, one of the most significant factors contributing to the success of these platforms is the role of user-generated content (UGC). UGC refers to content created and shared by users of online video platforms, rather than by the platforms themselves. This thesis aims to analyze the role of UGC in the growth of online video platforms by exploring the ways in which UGC contributes to platform success. By examining the impact of UGC, this research provides insights into the evolving landscape of online video and the ways in which UGC shapes it. The study of UGC and its role in the growth of online video platforms has significant implications for marketers, content creators, and platform owners. By understanding the impact of UGC, stakeholders can develop more effective strategies for creating and distributing content on these platforms. This research contributes to the academic understanding of the evolving landscape of online video and the role of UGC in shaping it. Overall, this thesis provides valuable insights into the ways in which UGC drives the growth of online video platforms and highlights its importance for the future of online video.

Abstract

Student academic performance is one of the important factors for student graduation. Therefore, many studies have been conducted in the field of education to identify factors that affect student performance. This research focuses on academic performance in online learning conditions by studying cases at XYZ university. Data were collected using Machine Learning techniques with the application of the Distributed Random Forest model, Naïve Bayes, Generalized Linear Model, and Gradient Boosting Machine algorithms. The results of this study indicate that the Distributed Random Forest and Gradient Boosting Machine models have an average accuracy of 99.83%. Researchers found variables that affect student learning performance, especially online learning, are final exam scores, midterm scores, attendance, assignment scores, amount of material given, number of assignments given, and number of clicks on material. From these findings, the researcher recommends that to improve the performance of the next learning, the implementation of learning should focus on improving the implementation of the Final Exams and the material on the learning platform
