Abstract

This study aims (1) to explain the social processes carried out by online game Clash Of Clans (COC) players; (2) To describe the impact of playing the online game Clash Of Clans (COC). The method used in this research is qualitative method. The data sources were selected by purposive sampling. Data was collected by using observation, interview and documentation techniques. Technical data analysis uses qualitative analysis with data reduction steps, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that: (1) the social processes carried out by online game Clash Of Clans (COC) players consist of cooperation, competition and conflict; (2) The results of the discussion on the impact of playing the online game Clash Of Clans (COC) among students of the Sociology and Anthropology Education Study Program FKIP Lambung Mangkurat University Banjarmasin had an effect on waste, time, entertainment and psychology. Based on the results of the research, it is suggested that: (1) students should be able to take advantage of the facilities provided by the campus so that they can function properly; (2) The government can provide supervision over the use of the internet so that it can be used as best as possible.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini mengenai pelaksanaan penyuluhan mengenai bagaimana cara berkomunikasi dengan menggunakan media sosial khususnya untuk generasi Z. Generasi Z merupakan kaum yang hidup di jaman teknologi berkembang dengan pesat. Sebagai manusia sosial, berinteraksi dengan orang lain setiap hari sangatlah penting dan tidak dapat dihindari. Hal ini dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan banyak peran media salah satunya yaitu berkenaan dengan berkembangnya dunia teknologi, maka hal tersebut juga menjadikan proses komunikasi menjadi lebih canggih contohnya media sosial yang ada sekarang ini. Kegiatan ini dilakukan bekerjasama dengan Diskominfo Jawa Timur dengan melakukan tahap persiapan meliputi pra-kegiatan, kegiatan, dan evaluasi. Sebagai hasil dari kegiatan ini didapatkan bahwa peserta memahami bagaimana peran mereka dalam melakukan komunikasi di era digitalisasi.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to identify and analyze the difficulties students face in learning to speak using TikTok social media, In addition, this research also aims to understand the barriers that arise, as well as to explore potential solutions that can help students overcome these challenges and maximize the benefits of learning through TikTok. This research method uses qualitative with a case study approach. Qualitative research with a case study approach provides several advantages in understanding phenomena in depth and contextually. The researcher provides a more in-depth picture of the phenomenon of student difficulties under study. Based on the results of the interviews, there are several similar answers including, Most students have difficulty understanding and using the features in the TikTok application. In addition, limited internet quota or Wi-Fi access is an obstacle for some students. On the other hand, there are also technical problems, there are student cell phones that cannot be used to open TikTok. Many students also felt less confident in creating and uploading videos on TikTok social media.

Abstract

Dalam proses pembelajaran, kemampuan membaca memiliki peran penting karena dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kecerdasan seseorang, serta mempersiapkan mereka menghadapi berbagai tantangan yang akan datang. Dengan demikian, penguasaan keterampilan membaca menjadi sangat penting di semua mata pelajaran, terutama pada tingkat awal pendidikan di sekolah dasar. Mengetahui kesulitan belajar membaca permulaan yang dialami oleh siswa kelas 1B SDN Gulbung 1 merupakan tujuan dari penelitian ini. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kualitatif dan merupakan penelitian lapangan. Subyek penelitian adalah 9 siswa kelas 1B yang mengalami kesulitan membaca permulaan serta wali kelas 1B. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Telah ditemukan beberapa jenis kesulitan membaca permulaan dari hasil observasi dan wawancara pada 9 siswa kelas 1B SDN Gulbung 1, yaitu: 1) Belum mampu mengenal huruf, 2) Belum mengenal huruf diftong dan digraf, 3) Sulit membedakan huruf yang hampir sama, 4) Sulit membaca kalimat yang panjang, 5) Sulit mengeja, dan 6) Membaca masih terbata-bata. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keterampilan membaca permulaan siswa kelas 1B SDN Gulbung 1 meliputi: 1) Kurangnya motivasi dari keluarga, 2) Tidak bersekolah di Taman Kanak-Kanak, dan 3) Kurangnya minat membaca siswa.

Abstract

This community service program aims to improve listening skills by implementing the Autonomous learning strategy through the Listening Log. This service was carried out from January to February 2025 at SMKN 1 Bangkalan. Autonomous learning is the ability of learners to gain knowledge and skills through a process that they determine themselves. This learning process can be seen from filling out the Listening Log as a form of independent report for each student when using their time to study outside of class hours. The results of this community service can be seen from the results of the questionnaire that students feel that the use of the listening log is very useful because they can correct their own progress and effotrs through the agendas that they fill in or complete. They feel comfortable being given the freedom to get sources of material that suit their preferences so that they can practice theit listening skills. In this way, students independently manage their time when they are not in the classroom. By themselves they are better able to find their way of learning, especially in listening skills.

Abstract

This study explores the use of short movies as a learning medium in the speaking class at Al Bonafide Course. The purpose of this study was to assess the impact of using short movies on students' vocabulary comprehension, their understanding of real-life scenarios, and increased engagement and confidence in speaking. The study involved 20 third-grade students and employed a qualitative descriptive design. Data collection was done through observation and documentation. The results showed that the use of short movies can increase students' learning motivation, expand vocabulary, and improve speaking fluency. Students become more interactive, enthusiastic, and confident in expressing ideas. Although previous studies have discussed the use of short movies in language learning, this study makes a new contribution by highlighting how short movies can encourage students' interactivity and emotional engagement in the learning process. The findings support the use of short movies as an effective tool to bridge language theory and practice, making learning more dynamic and meaningful.

Abstract

Pneumonia is one of the acute respiratory tract infections that is still a serious and complex global health problem, with a very significant impact on public health worldwide. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between anxiety levels and vital signs in hospitalized pneumonia patients. This study used an observational analytical research design with a cross-sectional approach with 64 respondents were recruited using convenience sampling techniques. The independent variable of the study was anxiety level and the dependent variable was vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature). The research instrument used was the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS) Questionnaire to measure anxiety levels and the dependent variable was measured using the Vital Signs Observation Sheet, Digital Tensimeter and Digital Thermometer. Data Analysis Data were analyzed using the Spearman or Pearson correlation test (according to data normality) with a confidence level of 95% (α = 0.05). Vital signs of pneumonia patients showed that 28.13% of patients were not anxious and had normal blood pressure, 25.00% of patients had normal respiration rate, 21.88% showed normal pulse rate and 23.44% showed normal oxygen saturation. High anxiety levels showed that 25.00% of patients had abnormal blood pressure, 25.00% of patients had abnormal respiration rate, 28.13% showed abnormal pulse rate and 23.44% of patients had abnormal oxygen saturation. The results of the study showed that anxiety had a significant relationship with blood pressure, pulse rate, respiration rate, and oxygen saturation with a p value <0.05.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the use of guess game method in enhancing students' speaking skills at SDIT Al-Ihsan. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the use of guess games was able to increase students' active participation, self-confidence, and ability to use vocabulary and construct sentences in English. The learning atmosphere becomes more fun and interactive, so students are more motivated to speak without fear of making mistakes. Students who were initially passive began to be actively involved after being encouraged by the teacher and their peers. Social interaction between students also increased, strengthening cooperation and support during the learning process. Although some students had difficulty in conveying descriptions clearly, the teacher's guidance and examples helped them develop gradually. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the guess game method is effectively used in learning English speaking skills at the elementary school level, especially in creating a supportive, fun, and meaningful learning environmenta

Abstract

Menumbuhkan minat baca sejak dini sangat penting untuk membentuk kebiasaan literasi yang kuat dan berkelanjutan. Hal ini dapat dilakukan melalui penciptaan lingkungan yang mendukung, seperti menyediakan bahan bacaan yang menarik dan sesuai dengan usia anak, menciptakan suasana membaca yang nyaman dan menyenangkan, serta melibatkan peran aktif orang tua dan guru dalam memberikan contoh nyata dan motivasi kepada anak. Keteladanan dari orang dewasa dalam hal membaca sangat berpengaruh dalam menanamkan kebiasaan positif ini. Ketika seseorang sudah memiliki minat baca, aktivitas membaca tidak lagi dianggap sebagai beban atau kewajiban, melainkan menjadi kebutuhan dan kegiatan yang menyenangkan. Dalam mendukung upaya ini, aplikasi Let’s Read hadir sebagai media teknologi alternatif yang sangat potensial dalam menumbuhkan minat baca pada anak-anak. Dengan cerita-cerita bergambar, pilihan bahasa lokal, serta tampilan yang interaktif, aplikasi ini menjadi sarana literasi digital yang mampu menarik perhatian anak dan menjadikan membaca sebagai aktivitas yang dinanti dan disukai.

Abstract

The program is a strategic investment designed to build the future of future generations by making culture an important element in their lives. Culture is seen as a legacy of the past and a source of inspiration that can drive positive change in society. Through various activities at the Rawang Guidance Studio, this program aims to cultivate a sense of love and pride for the country in students, so that they grow up with strong nationalism values. The various activities, such as folklore storytelling, playing traditional games, and Indonesian language learning, are designed to introduce and strengthen students' understanding of the nation's rich culture. Folktales, for example, are entertaining and convey moral values and local wisdom. Traditional games teach the importance of cooperation, sportsmanship, and local wisdom. At the same time, Indonesian language learning helps students better understand their mother tongue, which is an important bridge to maintaining cultural identity. The program not only aims to preserve culture but also fosters awareness of the importance of maintaining culture as a national identity. That way, culture will remain relevant and able to become a strong foothold for the students at the Rawang Guidance Center.
