Abstract

Background: One reason students tend to score below the KKM is the lack of understanding of the material provided by teachers and students less actively involved in the learning process. Method: This research uses Problem Based Instruction (PBI) model and the Student Sheet (LKS) media. This study looks at the improvement of students' learning outcomes on the concept of the VIII grade system of SMP Negeri 5 Ambon by applying the Problem Based Instruction based LKS model. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 5 Ambon. Result: Implementation of Problem Based Instruction based learning model (LKS) based on LKS can improve biology learning result. Conclusion: Implementation of Problem Based Instruction based learning model can improve student learning outcomes on the concept of Respiratory System of Class VIII4 SMP Negeri 5 Ambon.

Abstract

Background: Seagrass (Enhalus acoroides) is a flowering plant (Angiospermae) that has fully adapted to life immersed in the sea. Seagrass is also a commodity that has been used by many people both modern and traditional. Traditionally seagrass has been used for compost and fertilizer, cigars and children's toys, made into baskets, some are eaten, and made into fishing nets. Whereas in the modern way is as a filter of waste, food, medicines, materials for paper mills, and sources of chemicals. Methods: Measurement of flavonoid levels of seagrass leaf tea (Enhalus acoroides) was analyzed using a one-way anava test. This research was conducted on 10-18 July 2018. Results: The analysis showed that old tea drinks from seagrass leaves (Enhalus acoroides) had high flavonoid levels of 0.1623% while half-old tea drinks with seagrass leaves had moderate flavonoid levels of 0.1263%. Conclusion: Young tea drinks using seagrass leaves (Enhalus acoroides) have lower flavonoid levels of 0.0888%

Abstract

Background: Seagrass is a group of closed seed plants (Angiosperms) and single-sided (monocotyledonous) plants which are able to live permanently below sea level. One of the most abundant types of seagrass in Indonesian waters is seagrass Enhalus acroides. The specialty of seagrasses Enhalus acoroides is that the seeds can be used as food ingredients in several regions. Some people in Maluku process seagrass seeds into vegetables for daily use. In addition, seagrass seeds Enhalus acoroides which have good nutrition can be processed into milk products that can be an alternative to animal milk. Methods: The viscosity test for seagrass seed milk using the Ostwald method and microbiological analysis through the plate count total test using the SNI 2008 guidelines. This research was located in the Basic Biology Laboratory, Faculty Teacher Training and Education, Pattimura University and the Industrial Research and Standardization Center Laboratory in Ambon. Results: Viscosity values ​​in seagrass seed milk in the treatment group S0 (without sugar) 121.69 cP, treatment S1 (100 grams of sugar) 160.76 cP and treatment of S2 (200 grams of sugar) 156.38 cP while the results of the Total Plate Count test in seagrass seed milk with treatment S0 (no sugar) 7.1x101, treatment S1 (100 grams of sugar) 6.0x101 and treatment S2 (200 grams of sugar) 7.0x101. Conclusion: The highest viscosity value is in the treatment of S1 (100 grams of sugar) 160.76 cP and the lowest viscosity value is in the treatment of S0 (without sugar) 121.69 cP while the highest microbial colonies are in treatment S0 (without sugar) 7,1x101 and the lowest microbial colonies were in treatment S1 (100 grams of sugar) 6.0x101.

Abstract

Background: Seagrass (Enhalus Acoroides) is one of the most widely spread seagrass species in Indonesia and the seeds can be used by the community to be semi-processed product like Tempe (Fermented soyben). Another advantage possessed by Seagrass (Enhalus Acoroides) is that it has quite high nutrition. This research aimed to find out the carbohydrate and fat level on Tempe made from the fermentation of the seagrass seeds (Enhalus acoroides). Method: The analysis of the level of carbohydrate used by different method while the fat used Soxhlet method. Result: Based on the result of the research if the seagrass seeds been processed to be tempe, thus the carbohydrate and fat level was increased with the comparison of appropriate yeast. Conclusion: raw seagrass seeds if being processed to be tempe can increase the level of nutrition with the ppropriate amount of the yeast compared to consuming directly.

Abstract

Pemilihan strategi dan model pembelajaran yang tepat dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan pembelajaran dapat mengoptimalkan proses belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan keaktifan dan hasil belajar siswa SMA Negeri 4 Ambon tentang konsep sistem pernapasan melalui pernerapan model pembelajaran Think Pair Share (TPS) dipadukan dengan sepak bola verbal. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA2 SMA Negeri 4 Ambon yang diambil secara random sampling. Penelitian dilakukan pada 31 Januari - 28 Februari 2017 menggunakan metode deskriptif. Dari hasil penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran TPS dipadukan dengan sepak bola verbal mampu meningkatkan keaktifan dan hasil belajar siswa dengan sangat baik

Abstract

Provinsi Maluku adalah salah satu wilayah kepulauan di Indonesia dengan luas perairan yang dominan sekitar 90 %. Salah satu wilayah di Maluku, yaitu di Desa Suli yang memiliki hamparan lamun yang cukup luas, meliputi lamun Enhalus acoroides dan Thalassia hemprichii. Berdasarkan kelimpahan lamun di wilayah tersebut maka dapat dimanfaatkan menjadi suatu inovasi baru yang bermanfaat bagi masyarakat, seperti diolah menjadi produk teh yang bermanfaat. Pembuatan teh tidak lepas dari proses pengeringan. Pengeringan daun teh dengan diangin-anginkan dan menggunakan oven. Kualitas teh dipengaruhi juga oleh ketuaan daun dan metode pengolahannya. Tujuan penelitian ini, yaitu untuk mengetahui karakteristik sifat hedonik dan sensori yang meliputi rasa, warna dan aroma Enhalus Tea sebagai pangan alternatif masyarakat pesisir. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif, Pengambilan sampel daun lamun di perairan Desa Suli, pembuatan teh daun lamun (Enhalus Tea) dan pengujian sifat hedonik dan sifat sensori dilaksanakan di Laboratorium. Hasil pengujian hedonik aroma, panelis menyukai Enhalus Tea formula A1B1 (daun muda-dianginkan), formula A3B1 (daun tua-dianginkan), formula A1B2 (daun muda-oven) dan formula A2B2 (daun setengah tua-oven), sedangkan pada Enhalus Tea formula A2B1 (daun setengah tua-dianginkan) dan formula A3B2 (daun tua-oven) panelis kurang suka dengan aroma teh tersebut. Berdasarkan analisis data pada uji deskripsi sensori aroma kuat dimiliki oleh sampel A2B1 (daun setengah tua-dianginkan). Penilaian warna pada semua sampel rerata berada di tingkat 1 yaitu hijau kekuningan, sedangkan penilaian rasa terkuat pada sampel A2B1 (daun setengah tua-dianginkan).

Abstract

Lising of exact teaching method, is an alterative to overcome the weakness of student is reserve live to the lesson, in order to promote the quality of the teaching learning method Quantum learning is kinds of methods or philosophy for learning speed, (accelereted learning) accelerated learning can be define as the way to suport students in learning with wondrful accelerated, by using normal evort and anthusiastie this research is aim to know the implementation promote learning method Quantum learning in order to promote learning result and metacognitive concept of human movement system to the students in class XI IPA2 SMA Negeri 10 Ambon. This kind of research using descriptive research subject is the class IPA2 which capacity 26 students. Data of biology learning result is obtained through out pre test and post test, observation is used to observe cognitive ability, afeecitve, and psycomotor. The result of research is obtained in avarage of finally score 89,09% and metacognitive skill in pre test in average 51,69% and post test 93,88%.
