Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the application of the articulation learning method, increase students' understanding of the articulation learning method, and find out the supporting and inhibiting factors of the articulation learning method in the Balaghah subject at Hasbullah Bahrul Ulum Tambakberas Islamic Boarding School, Jombang. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with the type of field research. Techniques in data collection are used in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. This study uses data analysis through condensation, presentation, and conclusion. The research results obtained by the researchers showed that (1) the implementation of the articulation learning method in increasing students' understanding at the Hasbullah Bahrul Ulum Tambakberas Jombang Islamic Boarding School went through three stages, namely the initial stage, the core stage, and the closing stage; (2) in increasing the understanding of the students experienced a significant increase, the data was taken from the learning evaluation; (3) factors supporting the implementation of the articulation learning method include supporting infrastructure, namely the completeness of Islamic boarding school facilities and infrastructure, complete learning books, while the inhibiting factors for the implementation of the articulation learning method differ in the characteristics and level of understanding of each student.

Abstract

Reading the Qur'an is a noble practice that is recommended to every Muslim. So it is not surprising that in all corners of the world also persistently enliven the activities of reading the Qur'an with several models. One of them is with the model of the qur'an simultaneously. These activities can become a shiyiar of Islam by providing additional spirit in reading and mentadabburi al-Qur'an. The series of problem formulations that guide the implementation of research, presented with the following questions: 1. How is the analysis of Charles Sanders Pierce's Theory of Social Harmony in Eating Culture After the Qur'anic Khataman in the Tahfidz Group in Bojonegoro? 2. What is the Meaning of Charles Sanders Pierce's Theoretical Analysis Representation of Social Harmony in Eating Culture After the Qur'anic Recitation in the Tahfidz Group in Bojonegoro? The research methodology used is to use a qualitative-descriptive approach to analytics. The instrument used for data collection is direct observation, namely by prioritizing the role and presence of researchers to the location directly, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study showed that the culture of eating after the qur'an was able to add its own ni'mat taste to the worship of the qur'an.

Abstract

The aims of this study were (1) to explore out the process of implementing Problem Based Learning using PowerPoint media in Arabic lessons at MA Fattah Hasyim Tambakberas Jombang; (2) To find out the results of applying Problem Based Learning in Arabic lessons with PowerPoint media in increasing student learning interest. This research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion and verification. The results of the study show (1) The implementation of the Problem Based Learning model at MA Fattah Hasyim Tambakberas Jombang in Arabic for class XI is carried out through three stages, namely the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the evaluation stage. (2) Overall, it can be concluded that student's interest in learning Arabic using the Problem Based Learning model is included in the outstanding category; this is because students can explore further problems that are closely related to student's daily lives and also required to be able to think critically and cooperate in groups to solve the problems presented in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the SAVI learning model (Somatic, Auditory, Visualization, Intellectual) on students' learning interests and critical thinking skills in the Balaghah subject at the Adnan Al-Charis Bojonegoro Islamic Boarding School. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental research type with a non-equivalent control group design. Class A is the control class with 15 students, and class B is the experimental class with 15 students. Data collection methods include observation, questionnaires, tests, and documentation. Meanwhile, data analysis used descriptive statistics, sample t-test, and the N-Gain test. From the results of this study, it was obtained 1) The SAVI learning model was effective in increasing students' interest in learning. The results of the independent sample t-test (2-tailed) < 0.05, which is 0.000; 2) The SAVI learning model is less effective in improving students' critical thinking skills. The N-Gain result for the experimental class is 59%; 3) There is an influence between the SAVI learning model on students' learning interest, the results of Sig (2-tailed) < 0.05, which is equal to 0.000, while the SAVI learning model has no influence on students' critical thinking skills, the results of Sig (2-tailed) > 0.05, namely of 0.903.

Abstract

Background: Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan sebagai respons terhadap tantangan global dalam menyebarkan pesan-pesan Islam moderat di tengah meningkatnya arus informasi digital dan isu intoleransi. Kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan kapasitas anggota Forum Daiyah Fatayat dalam menerapkan ayat-ayat dakwah moderat melalui inovasi dakwah digital yang adaptif terhadap konteks sosial lokal. Metode: Metode yang digunakan adalah Community Education dengan pendekatan partisipatif melalui enam sesi pelatihan selama tiga bulan, mencakup literasi digital, desain konten, dan strategi komunikasi publik. Hasil: Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik; pemahaman konsep moderasi meningkat 39,7%, dan 85% peserta mampu menghasilkan minimal dua produk dakwah digital berkualitas. Analisis paired t-test menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan antara pra dan pascapelatihan (p < 0,05). Secara sosial, kegiatan ini memperkuat ekosistem dakwah perempuan berbasis digital dengan kenaikan jumlah tenaga dakwah aktif dari 45 menjadi 75 orang. Implikasi program ini adalah terbentuknya model pemberdayaan dakwah moderat berbasis komunitas perempuan yang dapat direplikasi di wilayah lain dalam mewujudkan Islam publik yang damai, toleran, dan inklusif.

Abstract

By utilizing visual media such as videos and picture cards, this method aims to enhance students' understanding of Arabic vocabulary. This study was conducted at As-Salma Bahrul Ulum Tambakberas Jombang, involving class A as the control group and class B as the experimental group. Using a quantitative approach and quasi-experimental design, the instruments employed were multiple-choice test, and data analysis was performed using the t-test. The results demonstrate that contextual learning based on visual-spatial intelligence successfully aids students understanding arabic vocabulary. Class B achieved a perfect score of 28.57%, while the control class had no students reached a perfect score. Additionally, 14.29% of students in class B required further guidance, whereas 38.1% of students in the control class needed assistance. The t-test results showed a t-value of 3.40 with a p-value of 0.0008, which is lower than the significance level. This indicates that contextual learning based on visual-spatial intelligence is effective to improved the understanding of Arabic vocabulary among beginner students.

Abstract

This study discusses the impact of digital technology on Balaghah learning among students. Through the implementation of interactive media, educational videos, and gamification elements, the literature indicates potential improvements in students' understanding of Arabic language theories. Digital technology not only enhances engagement and motivation for learning but also provides broader access to information sources, allowing students to explore the material independently. Despite challenges such as student distraction, the advantages of integrating technology appear to outweigh the drawbacks. The study emphasizes the need for effective classroom management approaches to minimize disruptions. By applying innovations in learning, it is hoped that students will gain a deeper understanding of Balaghah theories and appreciate the beauty of the Arabic language. The literature highlights the importance of technology in creating engaging and relevant learning experiences for students in the digital age.

Abstract

This study examines gender ambivalence in Hamka’s interpretation of gender-related Qur’anic verses in Tafsir al-Azhar. While previous studies have generally portrayed Hamka either as a modernist reformer or as an exegete who reproduces patriarchal views, little attention has been paid to the ambivalent character of his interpretations of gender relations and the socio-epistemological factors shaping them. Addressing this gap, the study aims to analyze how Islamic modernist ideals and patriarchal traditions coexist within Hamka’s interpretation of gender-related Qur’anic verses. Employing discourse analysis and Karl Mannheim’s sociology of knowledge, the study investigates Hamka’s interpretations of Q. al-Baqarah [2]: 222–223 and 282, as well as Q. al-Nisā’ [4]: 1 and 34. The findings reveal a pattern of gender ambivalence in which egalitarian and patriarchal tendencies operate simultaneously. In some interpretations, Hamka reinforces male authority and women’s subordinate positions, while in others he emphasizes reciprocity and mutual responsibility, and critiques patriarchal practices. This ambivalence emerges from the interaction of three factors: a predominantly textual-reflective interpretive approach that seeks limited contextualization, a stronger concern with the maqāṣid of the verses than with theorizing gender relations, and the influence of Hamka’s socio-historical background, particularly the encounter between Islamic modernism and Minangkabau cultural traditions. By conceptualizing gender ambivalence as an analytical framework for examining tensions between egalitarian and patriarchal tendencies in Qur’anic interpretation, this study contributes to the field of Qur’anic gender studies. It demonstrates how socio-historical contexts shape the production of exegetical discourse.

Abstract

Balaghah science is a crucial branch of Arabic language studies that emphasizes linguistic beauty and effectiveness. However, traditional teaching methods often struggle to foster students' deep aesthetic appreciation (tadzawuq adaby). This study aims to optimize and evaluate the integration of AZ Screen Recorder and YouTube as technological learning media to enhance students' proficiency in Tadzawuq A daby. Method: Employing an explanatory sequential mixed-methods design, this research involved 90 students from the Arabic Language Education program at UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung, divided equally into an experimental class (utilizing technology) and a control class (conventional method). Data were gathered through observations, interviews, and pretest-post-test assessments, and then analyzed using statistical parametric tests (Paired and Independent Sample T-Tests) alongside qualitative analysis. Results: The Independent samples T-Test revealed a statistically significant difference in post-test learning outcomes between the two groups (p = 0.012), with the experimental class achieving a substantially higher mean score (94.7) than the control class (85.1). Qualitative insights confirmed that the recorded materials provided learning flexibility and stimulated active, critical classroom discussions, though challenges such as unstable internet access persisted. Conclusion: Integrating AZ Screen Recorder and YouTube transcends mere theoretical mastery; it shifts the pedagogical paradigm by creating an interactive, independent, and dynamic learning environment that successfully elevates students' appreciation of literary aesthetics

Abstract

Nahwu Madhhab Kufah di Indonesia secara tidak langsung sudah diterapkan di Pondok Pesantren namun tanpa disadari oleh para pembelajar Nahwu, dan juga Penerapannya dalam pembelajaran Nahwu dapat menambah khazanah keilmuan dalam bidang bahasa Arab. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implikasi dari Nahwu Madhhab Kufah terhadap peningkatan Maharah Nahwiyah di Pondok Pesantren Bahrul Ulum Tambakberas Jombang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain Pretest-Posttest Nonequivalent Control Group. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari dua kelas, yaitu kelas VII-C dan VII-D di MTsN 3 Jombang. Instrumen yang digunakan mencakup pretest dan posttest, sementara analisis data dilakukan dengan uji hipotesis menggunakan perangkat lunak SPSS 25. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata prestasi belajar (post-test) siswa di kelas eksperimen mencapai 89,02, sedangkan di kelas kontrol sebesar 81,46. Dari hasil rata-rata tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran Nahwu dengan menggunakan Nahwu Madhhab Kufah memberikan pengaruh yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran yang tidak menggunakan pendekatan tersebut. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran dengan Nahwu Madhhab Kufah menjadi salah satu cara untuk mencapai hasil belajar yang baik dan tinggi dalam pembelajaran Nahwu.
