Abstract

This study examines the impact of organizational communication strategies and organizational commitment on extra-campus member loyalty. The method used is a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis involving 100 members from three organizations in Mataram. The analysis showed a significant relationship between communication strategy and member loyalty (y), with an R Square value of 56.3%. In addition, organizational commitment positively affected member loyalty, with an R Square value of 55.4%. Further analysis showed that the combination of communication strategies and organizational commitment contributed significantly to member loyalty, with an R Square value of 63.7%. These findings emphasize the importance of effective communication and commitment in increasing the loyalty of extra-campus organization members. This research is expected to provide practical recommendations for developing better communication strategies in extra-campus organizations and encourage increased member engagement and satisfaction.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPara petani dan peternak di Desa Sigar Penjalin dihadapkan pada permasalahan terkait rendahnya nilai tambah komoditas jambu mete, inefisiensi usaha ternak akibat keterbatasan pakan di musim kemarau, lemahnya pembukuan, dan akses pasar pascagempa serta pandemi. Tujuan kegiatan ini untuk meningkatkan kapasitas produksi bernilai tambah, memperkuat manajemen usaha, dan membuka akses pemasaran offline dan online bagi kelompok tani briuk patuh dan kelompok ternak briuk maju. Metode meliputi sosialisasi, diskusi kelompok terarah, pelatihan teknis berupa pembuatan abon dari daging mete dan pembuatan kacang mete dari biji mete, pembuatan pakan fermentasi, pendampingan manajerial berupa literasi keuangan, pencatatan keuangan digital, branding dan kemasan produk, serta pemasaran online. Sebesar 80% peserta mengalami kenaikan literat finansial dan 75% mengadopsi pencatatan digital, dengan evaluasi pre dan post test. Melalui implementasi yang diberikan pada kegiatan ini, dapat produksi kacang mete sebanyak 200 kg/bulan, dapat memproduksi abon daging mete sebanyak 30–50 kg/bulan, dapat memproduksi pakan fermentasi sebanyak 200 kg/bulan, dan pembuatan toko online di e-commerce shopee serta marketplace facebook. Integrasi teknologi tepat guna, inovasi pengolahan produk, dan manajemen keuangan serta pemasaran efektif meningkatkan kemandirian ekonomi lokal.Kata kunci: Pemberdayaan Desa; Jambu Mete; Pakan Fermentasi; Pemasaran Online; Keuangan Digital. ABSTRACTFarmers and livestock breeders in Sigar Penjalin Village are faced with challenges related to low cashew value, livestock business inefficiency due to limited feed during the dry season, weak bookkeeping, and market access following the earthquake and pandemic. The objective of this activity was to increase value-added production capacity, strengthen business management, and open offline and online marketing access for the Briuk Patuh farmer group and the Briuk Maju livestock group. Methods included outreach, focus group discussions, technical training in the form of making shredded cashew meat and making cashew nuts from cashew kernels, making fermented feed, managerial assistance in the form of financial literacy, digital financial recording, product branding and packaging, and online marketing. Eighty percent of participants experienced an increase in financial literacy and 75% adopted digital recording, with pre- and post-test evaluations. Through the implementation provided in this activity, cashew nut production can reach 200 kg/month, can produce 30–50 kg/month of cashew meat shredded cashew meat, can produce 200 kg/month of fermented feed, and can create online stores on the e-commerce platform Shopee and the Facebook marketplace. Integration of appropriate technology, product processing innovation, and effective financial and marketing management increases local economic independence.Keywords: Village Empowerment; Cashew Nuts; Fermented Feed; Online Marketing; Digital Finance.

Abstract

This study examines the symbolic meaning and cultural communication practices in the Timbung war ritual tradition in Pejanggik, Central Lombok. This tradition, rooted in historical values and ancestral heritage, is an important part of social identity, religious values, and community harmony. This study aims to analyze the symbolic interaction, function, and meaning contained in each element of the ritual through a symbolic interactionism approach. The method used is qualitative with data collection through semi-structured interviews with traditional leaders, religious leaders, the community, and cultural actors. The results of the study show that the Timbung War functions as a communication ritual that strengthens social cohesion, preserves ancestral values, and integrates Islamic teachings through prayer and togetherness. Each symbol in the ritual, such as bamboo, water, offerings, and coordinated movements, contains meanings of purity, unity, protection, and respect for ancestors. The study concludes that the Timbung War is a cultural tradition that remains alive and preserved through regeneration and the active role of the community amid the tide of modernization. The findings of this study contribute to efforts to preserve local culture, strengthen community identity, and can be used as a reference in the development of cultural education programs and tradition preservation policies based on community participation.

Abstract

ABSTRAK                                                                            Majelis taklim memiliki peran strategis dalam pembinaan keagamaan dan sosial masyarakat urban. Namun, hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa Majelis Taklim YP Al Ikhlas Mataram masih menghadapi permasalahan berupa pola dakwah yang cenderung monologis, rendahnya partisipasi jamaah, serta belum optimalnya integrasi kearifan lokal Sasak dan nilai-nilai Kemuhammadiyahan dalam praktik dakwah. Kondisi ini berdampak pada belum maksimalnya peran majelis taklim sebagai agen pemberdayaan komunitas. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas anggota majelis taklim dalam menerapkan dakwah komunikatif yang dialogis, partisipatif, dan kontekstual berbasis kearifan lokal serta nilai Islam berkemajuan Muhammadiyah. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif-edukatif yang meliputi observasi partisipatif, pelatihan komunikasi dakwah dua arah, diskusi kelompok terfokus, simulasi praktik dakwah (micro teaching), serta pendampingan penyusunan modul dakwah tematik. Evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test dan refleksi partisipatif. Mitra kegiatan adalah Majelis Taklim YP Al Ikhlas Mataram dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 30 orang jamaah aktif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta dalam menyusun serta menyampaikan pesan dakwah yang komunikatif, dialogis, dan relevan dengan konteks sosial budaya masyarakat Sasak. Integrasi kearifan lokal dan nilai Kemuhammadiyahan terbukti meningkatkan partisipasi jamaah, memperkuat identitas keislaman, serta mendorong terbentuknya kader dakwah perempuan. Luaran kegiatan berupa modul dakwah tematik berbasis lokal yang berpotensi direplikasi pada komunitas urban lainnya. Kata kunci: Pemberdayaan Komunitas, Dakwah Komunikatif, Kearifan Lokal, Nilai Kemuhammadiyahan. ABSTRACTMajelis taklim play a strategic role in fostering religious and social development within urban communities. However, preliminary observations indicate that the Majelis Taklim YP Al Ikhlas Mataram continues to face several challenges, including predominantly monologic dakwah practices, limited congregational participation, and the insufficient integration of Sasak local wisdom and Muhammadiyah values in dakwah activities. These conditions have constrained the optimal role of majelis taklim as agents of community empowerment. This Community Service program aimed to enhance the capacity of majelis taklim members to implement communicative dakwah that is dialogic, participatory, and contextually grounded in local wisdom and the principles of progressive Islam promoted by Muhammadiyah. The program employed a participatory–educative approach encompassing participatory observation, two-way dakwah communication training, focus group discussions, micro-teaching simulations, and mentoring in the development of thematic dakwah modules. Program evaluation was conducted through pre-test and post-test assessments and participatory reflection. The program engaged 30 active members of the Majelis Taklim YP Al Ikhlas Mataram as its target partners. The results demonstrate a significant improvement in participants’ understanding and skills in designing and delivering communicative, dialogic, and culturally relevant dakwah messages. The integration of local wisdom and Muhammadiyah values effectively increased congregational participation, strengthened Islamic identity, and fostered the emergence of female dakwah cadres. The primary output of this program was a locally based thematic dakwah module with strong potential for replication in other urban community settings. Keywords: Community Empowerment, Communicative Dakwah, Local Wisdom, Muhammadiyah Values.
