Abstract

The Make Every Minute Count (MEMC) pattern is the focus of classroom management implementation which is considered effective in designing educational experiences that encourage active participation in student learning, so that it is in line with the purpose of this research through the involvement of 42 MI Taufiqurrahman 2 Steamer students as samples divided into control classes and experiments (purposive sampling) from 457 research results by applying through methods quasi-experiment. In testing samples using questionnaires as the main instrument, the feasibility test results of the instrument 0.836 (Cronbach's Alpha) are known. The population variance of the two homogeneous class groups is seen from the comparison of t-count and t-table (0.198 > 0.05). The post-test MEMC (Experiment) result of 86.00 is greater than the post-test Classroom Meeting (Control) of 82.29. The meaning of the results of this test proves that MEMC class management affects student learning activity in MI Taufiqurrahman 2 Kukusan. The results of these findings, contributing to realizing classroom management oriented to student learning activity, but its effectiveness may not be generalizable to students outside the sample subjects studied.

Abstract

Abstract

This ethnographic research aims to describe and analyze the construction of the natural school curriculum, learning practices that reflect freedom and achievement of learning targets, as well as strategies used by teachers and school administrators in balancing these two aspects. The research employed a qualitative approach with ethnographic methods at Sekolah Alam Depok, involving principals, teachers, students, and school administrators as research subjects. Data collection techniques included participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, with data validity guaranteed through source triangulation, method triangulation, extended participation, and member checks. Data analysis used the Spradley model consisting of domain analysis, taxonomic analysis, componential analysis, and cultural theme analysis. The findings reveal that Sekolah Alam Depok implements the Selaras Curriculum which integrates national curriculum competencies, IB curriculum, and Tauhidi curriculum mapped into four main pillars: science logic for academic aspects, morals as a hidden curriculum for character building, leadership for life skills, and business for economic independence. The learning methodology highly appreciates autonomy and learning freedom, with teachers acting as facilitators. The PUP assessment system (Assignment for Understanding Demonstration) has shifted from formal summative exams to daily formative assessments. The findings also indicate challenges regarding equivalence of achievement with formal schools, particularly for students targeting transition to public high schools. This research contributes to the development of alternative curriculum and pedagogical studies, as well as practical benefits for natural school administrators, teachers, and education policymakers in formulating more contextual and responsive curriculum approaches to student needs.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the teacher's role in improving the descriptive essay writing ability of fourth-grade elementary school students and identify supporting and inhibiting factors. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed, involving one classroom teacher and six students as subjects. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results showed that the teacher carried out five integrated roles: as a learning planner, as a model and example giver, as a scaffolder, as a constructive feedback provider, and as a creator of a supportive literacy environment. Supporting factors included student enthusiasm, availability of varied media, and teacher patience, while inhibiting factors were time limitations and diversity of student abilities. The study concludes that a systematic and sustainable teacher role effectively improves descriptive writing skills.
