Abstract

The social changes that occur in society are influenced by the development of digital technology and have had a profound impact on the education system, school culture, and quality of education. This article aims to analyze the dynamics of social change in education, its impact on school culture, as well as the challenges and opportunities that arise in efforts to improve the quality of education in the digital era. The main focus of this research is character education, which is becoming increasingly relevant amid rapid technological advancements. Character education in the digital age focuses not only on the development of moral values, but also on the formation of the social and emotional intelligence necessary to interact ethically in cyberspace. Through a literature review, this article finds that in order to adapt to social and technological changes, education systems need to transform, create an inclusive environment, and ensure that technology is used as a tool to improve the quality of education, without neglecting social and ethical values. This research concludes that character education in the digital era requires a holistic approach that integrates technology with the teaching of moral and social values to shape the young generation that is ready to face global challenges.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to empower housewives' groups in Banjar Batan Poh, Sanur Kaja, through training in making dish soap made from natural ingredients as an environmentally friendly, safe, and economical alternative. The soap is made from pandanus and lime leaves which are easily available and contain antiseptic and antibacterial compounds. The method used was a participatory approach that included five stages: preparation, socialization, training on making, packaging, and evaluation. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in participants' understanding and skills; 92% understood the importance of environmentally friendly products, 88% were able to recreate them independently, and 80% were interested in making them a business opportunity. This activity not only provides environmental education, but also opens up business opportunities based on local potential and strengthens collaboration between universities and communities in creating sustainable development.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an interaction dynamics-based mathematics learning video integrated with the Edpuzzle platform to support learning in higher education. The development model used is ADDIE which includes five stages: analyse, design, develop, implement, and evaluate. The product developed is an interactive video that allows the integration of questions in the video flow, and supports synchronous and asynchronous interaction between lecturers and students. The validity of the product was tested using the LORI instrument by two material experts and two media experts, while the practicality was tested through a UEQ questionnaire filled out by students. The validation results showed that the learning video was considered very feasible to use, both in terms of material content and media design. The practicality test shows that the product is very practical to use in lectures, with indicators of attractiveness, efficiency, clarity, and novelty in the excellent category. Thus, this learning video is not only effective in terms of content, but also supports the dynamics of interaction and the development of pedagogical skills of prospective mathematics teachers.

Abstract

Introduction: Hypertension remains one of the most prevalent non-communicable diseases worldwide, including in Indonesia. Due to its often asymptomatic nature, the condition is frequently neglected by patients, increasing the risk of complications and negatively impacting their quality of life. While pharmacological treatment is essential, hypertension management is closely tied to self-care practices, which remain a persistent challenge. One strategy to improve self-care behavior in hypertensive patients is through education. This study aims to systematically review the effectiveness of various educational interventions in enhancing self-care behavior among hypertensive patients.Methods: This study employed the PRISMA Flowchart for article selection across three databases—ScienceDirect, PubMed, and Google Scholar—with inclusion criteria limited to articles published between 2021 and 2025. Of 394 initially identified articles, 15 met the inclusion criteria after PRISMA-based screening.Results: The review analyzed 15 studies comprising diverse educational interventions, including group-based education sessions, video-assisted learning, digital and mobile health (mHealth) tools, individualized counseling, and community-based programs. These interventions significantly improved key aspects of self-care, such as medication adherence, dietary regulation, physical activity, stress management, and regular blood pressure monitoring.Conclusion: This systematic review demonstrates that a wide range of educational interventions effectively enhance self-care behaviors among hypertensive patients. Tailoring interventions to patient needs and utilizing technology may further improve outcomes. These findings underscore the importance of incorporating structured education into hypertension management strategies.

Abstract

Lovina is one of the leading tourist destinations in North Bali, which is the target of the CHSE (Cleanliness, Health, Safety, and Environmental Sustainability) program as an effort to realize safe and sustainable tourism. However, there has been no systematic evaluation regarding the implementation of CHSE in the community living in tourist area. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the antecedents (planning), transaction (process), and outcomes (output) of CHSE program. A descriptive approach was used with a Countenance Stake evaluation model including 3 main stages, namely context (planning), process (implementation), and outcomes (output). Furthermore, this study comprised 50 respondents, consisting of the community living around the Lovina tourist area selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, and documentation of the local CHSE program. The results showed that the implementation of CHSE program in Lovina has been excellent, although several aspects still need to be improved, including community understanding of standards, active participation in implementing health protocols, and support from the local government, both in the form of ongoing socialization and supervision. At the antecedents stage, 62% of respondents confirmed readiness and understanding of the appropriate category. Meanwhile, at the transaction stage, 60% of respondents routinely implemented hygiene practices according to CHSE guidelines. At the outcomes stage, most respondents (88%) had a perception in accordance with sustainability. In conclusion, this study provides an important contribution to the development of health-based tourism in Bali, specifically emphasizing the importance of collaboration between the government, tourism actors, and the local community. As a recommendation, the results can be used as basis for formulating effective policies in improving the quality of safe, healthy, and sustainable tourism services in the Lovina tourist destination and other areas in Bali.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low motivation and learning outcomes of students in the topic of Relations and Functions, as well as the limited use of technology-based teaching materials at SMP Negeri 2 Mengwi. The purpose of this study is to develop an interactive e-module with gamification and to test its validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The research employed the ADDIE development model, consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The product was validated by two experts, while trials included both limited and field testing. The validation results indicated that the e-module received a score of 1.00 in both material and media aspects, categorized as very high. Practicality was measured using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ), with most aspects rated as “excellent.” In terms of effectiveness, students’ learning motivation was in the very high category with an average score of 83, and the average learning outcomes increased from 68 to 84 after using the e-module. Therefore, the interactive e-module with gamification is considered valid, practical, and effective for use in mathematics learning on the topic of Relations and Functions.

Abstract

Sebagai salah satu destinasi wisata yang ramai dikunjungi wisatawan, pantai Lovina memiliki sejumlah potensi yang dapat dinikmati, mulai dari keindahan terumbu karangnya, wisata dolphin dan pesisir pantainya yang tidak kalah cantik. Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk memberikan penyuluhan kepada masyarakat sekitar destinasi wisata terkait dengan penerapan program Clean, Healthy, Safety and Environment Sustainability (CHSE) dengan jumlah sasaran 20 orang. Melalui metode penyuluhan dan diskusi ini diharapkan memberikan pengetahuan baru dan informasi yang bermanfaat bagi masyarakat daerah wisata terutama dalam memberikan layanan kepada wisatawan berkunjung dengan rasa aman dan nyaman. Dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif persentil dapat dilihat peningkatan pengetahuan dengan membandingkan hasil pre dan post tes. Pelayanan yang sudah bagus harus tetap di pertahankan. serta terus melakukan penerapan protokol kesehatan kepada wisatawan ketika berwisata, karena berkembangnya objek wisata sangat bergantung dari respon dan perilaku masyarakat daerah wisata sehingga adanya rasa kepuasan seperti adanya kesesuian harapan, minat berkunjung kembali serta juga kesediaan merekomendasikan kepada wisatawan lain.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk media powtoon berbasis pembelajaran discovery pada materi turunan fungsi aljabar yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Research and Development (R&D) dengan menggunakan model plomp. Subjek penelitian siswa kelas XI IPA dan XI IPS SMA PGRI 4 Denpasar berjumlah 46 siswa. Data dikumpulkan dengan angket dan tes. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dari validator untuk menguji kevalidan dari segi media sebesar 95%, segi materi sebesar 91,33%, segi bahasa sebesar 92% berkategori sangat valid. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dari angket untuk menguji kepraktisan, angket respon guru sebesar 85,71% berkategori sangat praktis dan angket respon siswa sebesar 75,47% berkategori praktis. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dari post test sebesar 86,95 berkategori efektif. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa media powtoon berbasis pembelajaran discovery materi turunan fungsi aljabar valid, praktis dan efektif sehingga dapat digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study explores parents' strategies to support their 5-6-year-old children's understanding of counting. The research adopts a qualitative descriptive design, allowing for an in-depth understanding of parents' experiences and practices through interviews and live observations. The informants are parents from a private kindergarten (TK) in Jakarta, Indonesia, who actively teach their children counting activities. The findings reveal that parents utilize three main strategies: mathematics discussions, integrating numeracy into daily activities, and using educational games such as 'Monopoly' or digital applications like 'ABC mouse'. These strategies help children develop their understanding of basic mathematical concepts naturally and enjoyably. The results have significant implications for early childhood education. The practices adopted by parents have proven effective in enhancing children's mathematical comprehension. Integrating numeracy into everyday activities allows children to connect mathematical concepts with real-life situations, while mathematical conversations enrich their learning experiences. The use of educational games also facilitates engaging and interactive math learning. Based on these findings, it is recommended that parents and educators continue to promote these strategies to support early childhood mathematical learning and develop resources to facilitate their implementation. With a holistic and integrated approach, this research can provide children with a solid mathematical foundation for future success in learning mathematics.
