Abstract

HLSW is a natural tourist attraction that presents the scenery and experience of natural tropical rainforest exploration. The existing space in the HLSW area is not well ordered, especially in the public zone as the zone visited by more diverse visitors. This can be seen from main routes and some attraction nodes that are not in good condition. Node is the concentration of the area, which is the intersection of HLSW main pathway, the tracking post and attraction area as the activity center. A node must show the indigenous character and accommodate the visitor’s activity. It is necessary to analyze the HLSW node to obtain the type of activity and the condition of physical elements. Observation of the node by mosaic technique, which is to combine several single photographs to get the picture in a wide scope and to understand the role of each node. Results of this research are (i) All three types of nodes are exist in natural condition with very minimal facilities, (2) The number of facilities such as signage and other supporting furniture are not good in quality and not many in quantity, (3) The whole elements does not show HLSW character yet. This causes the concentration of the area to be less attractive and does not show its identity.

Abstract

Balikpapan is one of the cities in East Kalimantan with unique characteristic of the region. The characteristics of the region and the height of the area from the sea surface of the city of Balikpapan is one of the factors, therefore need to be designed a tool to detect weather especially in Balikpapan city. The device design using Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) Wind Turbine. The measurement results are based on temperature, humidity and wind speed. From the measurement of temperature, humidity and wind speed obtained an average of 30.97oC; 73.49% and 2.91 m/s. According to method World Meteorological Organization, temperature, humidity and wind speed data is accepted.

Abstract

The Makmur Abadi Farmers Group (KTMA) is an organization in the field of oil palm plantations located in Kutai Kartanegara Regency. Problems in planning the availability of subsidized fertilizers interrupt the KTMA plantation activities, such as planning for subsidized fertilizers that have not been planned systematically and often subjective planning of subsidized fertilizers is carried out, so that KTMA has difficulty designing scientific fertilizer needs planning. Based on the calculations, the results of planning using EOQ resulted in ordering 25 sacks of urea fertilizer with 11 orders, reorder point of 254.4 kg, safety stock of 2,040 kg, and TIC of Rp. 2,224,117. Ordered SP-36 fertilizer with EOQ of 23 sacks with 11 orders, reorder point of 254.4 kg, safety stock of 420 kg, and TIC to Rp. 2,169,368. Ordered ZA fertilizer with EOQ of 15 sacks with 12 orders, reorder point of 181.8 kg, safety stock of 1,800 kg, and TIC to Rp. 1,508,527. Ordering NPK fertilizer with EOQ of 50 sacks with 11 orders, reorder point of 512.7 kg, safety stock that can be set at 1,515 kg, and TIC of Rp 4,507,127. Ordering organic fertilizer with EOQ of 30 sacks with 18 orders, reorder point of 512.7 kg, safety stock of 2,295 kg and TIC to Rp 4,019,187.

Abstract

PT. Media Kreasi Abadi merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang jasa IT (Information and Technology) yang resmi berdiri pada tahun 2017. Berdasarkan data perusahaan tahun 2022, jumlah karyawan dalam PT. Media Kreasi Abadi sebanyak 80 orang. Pada dua tahun terakhir telah mengalami peningkatan dalam produksi sebagai penyedia aplikasi dan game. Salah satu departemen yang berpengaruh besar dalam pembuatan aplikasi ialah Departemen Design UI/UX. Selaras dengan meningkatnya permintaan, kinerja karyawan dituntut untuk bekerja secara optimal dalam melayani kebutuhan customer. Namun, permasalahan yang ditemui pada departemen ini yaitu kerap terjadi keterlambatan dalam menyelesaikan suatu project sehingga sering kali mundur dari timeline yang telah ditetapkan. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, perlu adanya pengukuran dan pengendalian kualitas dengan tujuan memetakan dan menganalisis kegiatan yang menambah nilai dan tidak dalam mengerjakan project aplikasi di Departemen Design UI/UX. Adapun pada penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Value Stream Mapping terhadap proses kerja di Departemen Design UI/UX. Berdasarkan hasil rekomendasi pada FVSM nilai Process Cycle Efficiency (PCE) meningkat menjadi 89,89% dan waktu proses kerja berkurang sebanyak 18 hari dibandingkan dengan hasil pada CVSM. Sehingga lead time dari penyelesaiannya project aplikasi ialah 89 hari dan dengan waktu tersebut maka project dapat selesai sesuai standar waktu yang ditetapkan.

Abstract

Budidaya ikan lele merupakan salah satu bentuk pemberdayaan masyarakat di Kelurahan Karang Joang Balikpapan. Budidaya ikan lele yang saat ini dilakukan masih belum optimal dikarenakan harga pakannya masih belum terjangkau dan alat pembuat pakannya yang tidak dapat digunakan lagi. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk mengolah maggot sebagai pakan ikan lele untuk menekan pengeluaran pakan ikan lele. Maggot beserta bahan lain akan diolah menjadi pakan ikan lele alternatif dengan cara membuat alat untuk menggiling sekaligus mencetak bahan-bahan tersebut ke dalam bentuk pakan ikan. Maggot dan bahan lain akan menjadi pakan ikan alternatif yang mengganti pakan ikan lele yang selama ini digunakan oleh masyarakat yaitu pelet ikan. Alat penggiling yang berhasil dibuat akan mencampur bahan-bahan seperti maggot, tepung ikan, tepung jagung dan dedak padi menjadi pakan ikan lele alternatif yang lebih ekonomis bagi masyarakat. Alat penggiling ini akan mencampur dan mencetak pakan ikan lele alternatif menggunakan bantuan alkon sehingga tenaga yang dihasilkan lebih besar. Selain itu pakan ikan alternatif yang dibuat juga dapat digunakan sebagai pakan ikan lele mulai ukuran kecil sampai besar serta nutrisi yang didapatkan dari pakan alternatif ini baik bagi ikan lele. Sosialisasi mengenai penggunaan alat giling dan pembuatan pakan ikan lele kepada masyarakat telah dilaksanakan diakhir kegiatan.

Abstract

Intisari— PT. ABC merupakan perusahaan jasa perbaikan alat berat yang berlokasi di Balikpapan, Kalimantan Timur. Proses perbaikan alat berat terdiri inspeksi awal, pembongkaran, pengelasan, pembubutan, perakitan kembali, pengecatan, dan finishing. Pada proses pengelasan dan pembubutan sering terjadi kerusakan pada mesin, yang mengakibatkan waktu downtime yang tinggi. Data downtime yang tinggi yaitu sebesar 288 jam, yang terjadi pada sparepart screw ball mesin rebuilder. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor penyebab kritis dan jadwal perawatan sparepart mesin yang efektif untuk mencegah terjadinya kerusakan mesin secara terus menerus. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Realibility Centered Maintenance (RCM) dan Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA). Tahapan dari penelitian ini terdiri dari mendefinisikan sistem kerja dengan functional block diagram, penentuan sparepart mesin kritis dengan Failure Mode Effect Analysis, penentuan jenis distribusi, waktu kerusakan, dan perbaikan dengan Index of Fit, menghitung waktu kerusakan dengan MTTR dan MTBF, menentukan realibility, serta memberikan analisa penjadwalan perawatan mesin yang tepat. Metode Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) menghasilkan nilai RPN untuk setiap sparepart mesin, sehingga didapatkan akar penyebab prioritas kegagalan yang harus segera diatasi. Komponen itu terdiri dari seal as, screen, screw ball, bushing, dan gear hub, alarm. Kemudian metode Realibilty Centered Maintenance digunakan untuk mendapatkan jadwal perawatan yang tepat untuk sparepart mesin prioritas tersebut. Hasil dari penelitian ini didapatkan interval jadwal perawatan sebagai berikut: setiap 11 hari untuk seal as, 9 hari untuk screw ball, setiap 17 hari untuk gear hub dan alarm, setiap 13 hari untuk screen, dan setiap 14 hari untuk bushing. Penjadwalan perawatan sparepart mesin ini, diharapkan mampu untuk mencegah kerusakan mesin yang menyebabkan downtime yang lama. Abstract— PT. ABC is a heavy equipment repair service company located in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan. The processing of heavy equipment consists of initial inspection, disassembly, welding, turning, reassembling, painting and finishing. In the process of welding and turning often occurs damage to the machine, which results in high downtime. The high downtime data was 288 hours, which occurred in the rebuilder engine screw ball spare parts. This study aims to determine the critical causal factors and maintenance schedules for machine spare parts that are more effectively preventing continuous engine damage. This study uses the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) methods. The stages of this research consist of defining work systems with functional block diagrams, determining critical machine spare parts with Failure Mode Effect Analysis, determining the type of distribution, damage time, and repairs with Index of Fit, calculating damage time with MTTR and MTBF, determining reliability, and providing proper engine maintenance scheduling analysis. The Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method generates an RPN value for each machine spare part, so that the priority root causes of failure are obtained which must be addressed immediately. The components consist of axle seals, screens, screw balls, bushings, and gear hubs, alarms. Then the Reliability Centered Maintenance method is used to get the right maintenance schedule for the priority machine spare parts. The results of this study obtained the following maintenance schedule intervals: each 11 days for axle seals, each 9 days for screw balls, each 17 days for gear hubs and alarms, each 13 days for screens, and each 14 days for bushings. Scheduling the maintenance machine spareparts are expected to be able to prevent machine damage which causes long downtime.

Abstract

The Somber Small Industry Center's Regional Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) is one of Balikpapan's tofu and tempeh industrial sectors. Based on observations performed throughout the implementation of tofu production at Mr. Rahim's production house, it is known that the production capacity of tofu varies every month due to the shortage of a tofu production plan, resulting in Mr. Rahim's production house losing 816 kg worth Rp. 20.400.000 in 2022. The purpose of this study was to plan and offer recommendations for tofu manufacturing capacity and time that are suitable for Mr. Rahim's production house. Forecasting moving averages, weight moving averages, exponential smoothing, and linear trend line models are applied in the tofu production planning approach. The research results in capacity planning and production time of tofu using the forecasting method of moving average over 3 periods and 6 periods, respectively, 6081 kg/month and 6025 kg/month; weight moving average over 3 periods and 2 periods, respectively, 5792 kg/month and 5504 kg/month; exponential smoothing method with alpha 0.80, 0.90, and 0.95, respectively, 5258 kg/month, 5080 kg/month, and 4990 kg/month; and the linear trend line model method of 6317 kg/month. The conclusion of this study using the best feasible forecasting method is the weight moving average with two weighting periods, with a total required capacity of tofu production time of 1671.0144 hours/year and a total capacity of available tofu production time of 1874.6112 hours/year due to the difference in actual demand with a forecast of 732 kg, which does not exceed the value of lost sales in 2022.

Abstract

PT Industri Kereta Api (INKA) Madiun is a railroad manufacturing company that produces trains and provides train maintenance guarantee services, one of which is to PT LRT Jakarta. The problem is that PT LRT Jakarta does not yet have a warehouse to store components for train operational and maintenance needs, so it takes time for delivery from PT. INKA Madiun to PT LRT Jakarta. This research aims to create a design and proposal for the layout of warehouse facilities in accordance with the train maintenance components at PT INKA which produces Jabodebek LRT trains. The method used is class-based storage to determine the class arrangement of each component, the rectilinear distance method to determine the distance of component movement, average speed to determine component movement time, and material handling costs to determine the total material handling cost. The results obtained show that class A is for tools components, class B is for electrical and mechanical components, and class C is for chemical, nonchemical and change unit components. The operator movement distance is 198.71 m, the forklift movement distance is 23.35 m, the operator movement time is 28,196.9 seconds, and the forklift movement time is 2,019.9 seconds for layout 1, while for layout 2 it is known that the operator movement distance is 197.60 meters, the forklift moving distance is 16.12 meters, the operator moving time is 27,889.9 seconds, and the forklift moving time is 963 seconds. The material handling costs obtained from the two layouts are Rp. 668,821,576. The layout also considers shelf dimensions, pallet dimensions, forklift dimensions, operator dimensions, door dimensions and the space of each component. The conclusion of this research is that the facility layout design is appropriate based on the class of each train maintenance component and the proposed layout chosen is layout 2 because the component movement distance and component movement time are smaller than layout 1.

Abstract

This study was conducted to assess the performance of a printing machine using Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) calculations. The printing machine already meets the World Class standards with availability, performance, and quality metrics set at 85%. Achieving this standard is considered indicative of good machine performance according to these benchmarks. Recommendations for improvement include implementing machine maintenance management supported by routine maintenance by machine operators to minimize issues during production. The results from the OEE calculations show that the availability, performance, quality, and overall effectiveness of the machine have not reached or exceeded the World Class OEE standards. This has caused production delays due to the machine's low performance. The low performance is attributed to the fact that the printing machine operators at CV Delimas do not fully understand the machine's maintenance procedures. The performance metric for the printing machine at CV Delimas using OEE averages only 33%. This indicates that the machine's performance is significantly below the 95% standard.

Abstract

Panti asuhan Yaumiddin merupakan lembaga sosial yang mendidik dan memelihara yatim piatu dan anak yang kurang beruntung di Kota Balikpapan. Keberlangsungan kegiatan di panti asuhan erat hubungannya dengan ketersediaan air bersih. Saat ini ketersediaan air bersih di panti asuhan masih kurang baik dikarenakan secara visual air yang digunakan terlihat keruh. Dengan fokus pada ketersediaan air bersih yang berkualitas, pengabdian ini mengidentifikasi, melakukan pemasangan, dan pemeliharaan infrastruktur pipa serta sistem filtrasi air yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan panti asuhan. Perbaikan dan infrastruktur aliran air yang dilakukan mampu meningkatkan debit air yang mengalir menjadi 0,3 liter/detik. Hasil pembuatan filtrasi air berhasil meningkatkan kualitas air yang tersedia dengan adanya perbaikan nilai pH yang mendekati netral (7), penurunan nilai pada uji kekeruhan dari 0,994 menjadi 0,126 NTU serta penurunan padatan yang terlarut (uji TSS) dari 178 menjadi 29 ppm.  Kegiatan terakhir adalah melakukan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat mengenai prosedur pemeliharaan sistem filtrasi air. Implementasi infrastruktur pipa dan sistem filtrasi air secara efektif meningkatkan akses terhadap air bersih, meningkatkan kesehatan dan kesejahteraan penghuni panti asuhan, serta mengurangi risiko terpapar penyakit akibat konsumsi air yang tercemar.
