Abstract

Adequacy of nutrition is needed by a person from the womb to adulthood. Pregnant women are one of the groups of people who are prone to malnutrition. One of the nutritional problems in pregnant women is iron anemia (Fe). Pregnant women are said to be anemic if their Hb level is <11 g / dl, anemia can also occur due to an increased need for a person's body, for example during menstruation, pregnancy and childbirth, while the iron that enters is only a little, it is highly recommended to consume food that comes from animal protein such as fish. , meat, eggs and milk. Objective: to examine the relationship between the adequacy of animal protein consumption on hemoglobin (Hb) levels of pregnant women in Johan Pahlawan District, West Aceh Regency. Methods: This study is a quantitative study with a cross sectional design. The population in this study were all pregnant women in the second and third trimesters who were recorded at Puskesmas Johan Pahlawan and Suak Ribee, West Aceh district in February 2020, totaling 165 people, the sampling technique used the purposive sampling method using the Slovin formula with a sample of 62 people. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between the consumption of animal protein intake and hemoglobin levels in pregnant women with a p value = 0.022. In conclusion, the HB level of pregnant women who consume enough animal protein is more normal than pregnant women who do not consume enough animal proteinAdequacy of nutrition is needed by a person from the womb to adulthood. Malaria is one of the main causes of death in many developing countries, which until now is still spread in the tropics and subtropics. This study aims to determine the relationship between environmental factors and nutritional status with the incidence of malaria in the Kuala Bhee Health Center Work Area, West Aceh Regency. This study uses a case control or retrospective study design. The case group was recorded as malaria patients based on registration data at the Kuala Bhee Health Center, Woyla District, Aceh Regency and resided in the working area of the Kuala Bhee Health Center, Woyla District, West Aceh Regency, while the controls were all people who were declared free of malaria. The results showed that the presence of livestock cages and the presence of standing water had a significant relationship with the incidence of malaria. It is recommended to the public to avoid activities outside the home at night by reducing the frequency of going out or not leaving the house during active hours of biting malaria vector mosquitoes, cleaning livestock cages and eliminating puddles around their homes.

Abstract

Mother's milk is the main source of nutrition for babies who are not yet able to consume solid food. Formation of breast milk is influenced by protein, vitamins, fat, water, carbohydrates, fiber and other nutrients. Problem in this study was that the mother did not give breast milk to her baby because the volume of breast milk was small, the mother did not know what foods could increase the volume of breast milk at a relatively low cost. Purpose of this study was to analyze the nutritional value of local foods such as banana blossom and papaya leaves to what extent they are able to increase the volume of breast milk in breastfeeding mothers.Research method uses pre-experimental tests (non-design) and socialization. in the Panton Reu sub-district, West Aceh Regency with a population of 44 breastfeeding mothers, a total sample of 44 respondents who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results after conducting research, where the high levels of nutrients contained in the heart of bananas and papaya leaves, these nutrients are related to the formation of breast milk volume. Conclusion of the results of the analysis of nutrients, the banana flower and papaya leaves can be consumed by breastfeeding mothers because of the high levels of nutrients contained therein. According to the analysis of nutrients, banana blossom and papaya leaves need to be used as a mainstay for the family, and further research needs to be done and this research can be used as a reference source. Abstract

Several studies in Indonesia have utilized learning media to educate students. Nevertheless, no research looks at the effect of education through learning media on high school students about balanced nutrition using Powtoon, which is website-based. The research design used was a quasi-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. The research was conducted at SMA Negeri 3 West Aceh Regency. Seventy-three respondents who met the inclusion criteria were selected. The results obtained a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). Respondent's knowledge of balanced nutrition before being given education through Powtoon website-based learning media has a median value of 9 (5-12), and after the intervention, the median value rises to 13 (8 - 15). There is a significant difference in knowledge of balanced nutrition before and after the intervention. Therefore, learning with engaging media provides new experiences for students to understand the material presented. Powtoon learning media can be developed or compared with other learning media to find out which one is superior so that it can be widely used.

Abstract

Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) is a condition when a person experiences chronic malnutrition that causes health problems in adolescent girls, with an Upper Arm Circumference (LILA) size of less than 23.5 cm. Based on the results of initial observations made by researchers by observing several high schools, after researchers observed that in MAN 1 West Aceh there were several young women with CED justification. This study aims to determine the relationship between macronutrient and micronutrient intake on the incidence of Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) in adolescent girls in MAN 1 West Aceh. The research method uses a cross-sectional approach carried out in MAN 1 West Aceh. Proportionnate Stratified Random Sampling sampling technique with a total of 261 people in MAN 1 West Aceh. The instrument used is the Semi Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire. Data analysis using Chi Square Test and Logistic Regression. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between carbohydrate, protein, fat intake and CED in adolescent girls with a p-value of 0.000 (p<0.05), there was no significant relationship between iron and CED in adolescent girls with a p-value of 0.083 (p>0.05), there was no significant relationship between calcium and CED in adolescent girls with a p-value of 0.735 (p>0.05), There was no significant association between zinc and CED in adolescent girls with a p-value of 0.374 (p>0.05). Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between macronutrient intake of CEDs in adolescent girls with p-value (<0.05), while micronutrient intake has no significant relationship with CED in adolescent girls with p-value (>0.05). Itis hoped that the school can carry out nutritional status assessment activities for students so that information and education can be provided related to the importance of paying attention to the nutritional status of female students who fall into the category of women of childbearing age (WUS) for health preparation and nutritional status in adulthood. It is better for teenagers to pay attention to a good diet according to their needs.

Abstract

Stunting is a medical condition characterized by height significantly below the standard -2 SD z-score, adversely affecting children's physical growth and cognitive development. This study aims to analyze the correlation between basic immunization records, infectious disease history, and stunting prevalence in Cot Seumeureung Puskesmas, Aceh Barat. A quantitative cross-sectional method was employed, utilizing Chi-Square analysis (p-value < 0.05 indicating significance). Findings revealed a significant association between lack of immunization and previous infections, such as diarrhea (p=0.004, RP=1.63), with the incidence of stunting. These results underscore the crucial role of immunization and regular health monitoring as preventive measures. Furthermore, the study highlights the need for strengthened public health strategies to reduce stunting rates, emphasizing comprehensive immunization coverage and early intervention for infectious diseases. Future research could explore additional factors, including maternal nutrition and environmental conditions, contributing to stunting.
