Abstract

Pronunciation therapy for deaf students is a very important context within the sphere of the Quran learning. Previous investigations in this domain predominantly focused on media and visual approaches, neglecting the discussion of Arabic letter pronunciation therapy (phonetically). Therefore, this research aimed to elucidate various forms of pronunciation therapy designed for deaf students and the underlying factors motivating the use of the therapeutic techniques. This descriptive qualitative research relied on the primary data collected through an investigation conducted at Qotrunnada Islamic Special School (SLB) in Bantul, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The primary data comprised the diverse methods applied in Arabic letter pronunciation therapy and the determinant factors of articulation disorders. The research subjects were limited to pure deaf students, categorized by age and the length of therapy. Each student exhibited different results of assessment and response to pronunciation therapy. Moreover, data validation was performed through interaction with the school principal as the research team. The results showed that the forms of pronunciation therapy included articulation therapy (phonetically) exercises addressing sound production, as well as interventions targeting attention and behavior for deaf students in coping with Arabic letter difficulties. This contribution would serve as a basic guide in the development of instruments for Arabic letter pronunciation therapy designed for students with special needs.

Abstract

Proses kegiatan belajar mengajar (KBM), membutuhkan inovasi agar tidak terpaku pada model-model pembelajaran yang menjemukan. Inovasi pelaksanaan pembelajaran, salah satunya dapat dicapai dengan pembelajaran jigsaw. Model Pembelajaran Kolaboratif Jigsaw merupakan salah satu metode pembelajaran yang dapat membimbing pelaku pembelajaran ke lingkungan belajar yang lebih aktif dan menumbuhkan nilai tanggung jawab. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat partisipasi dan pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap materi penulisan skripsi ketika mengikuti mata kuliah Bahasa Indonesia melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Jigsaw. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen di kelas, dengan populasi sebanyak 36 mahasiswa. Sementara, jumlah sampel terdiri atas seluruh mahasiswa di kelas tersebut. 36 mahasiswa itu dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok dan setiap kelompoknya berisi antara 7-8 peserta. Para mahasiswa tersebut mendapatkan tugas untuk mengerjakan soal pretest dan posttest. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan, terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pada partisipasi dan hasil pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap materi penulisan skripsi menggunakan model Jigsaw. Selama proses pembelajaran, anggota kelompok dituntut untuk aktif karena setiap mahasiswa  mendapatkan satu materi yang harus dikuasai. Tingkat pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap materi yang diajarkan, diukur oleh peneliti menggunakan soal pretest dan postest yang harus dikerjakan mahasiswa sebagai perbandingan penelitian. Hasilnya, diperoleh nilai rata-rata dari soal pretest sebesar 48,88. Nilai tersebut berada pada rentang nilai 0-40. Sedangkan pasca melakukan model Jigsaw dan mengikuti posttest, nilai rata-rata yang didapatkan mahasiswa sebesar 72,77 dengan nilai terendah 40 dan rentang nilai tertinggi 80-100.

Abstract

This study aims to find the relationship between the meaning of signs and the optimal meaning of the story of Dzul-Qarnain in the Qur'an, Surah al-Kahfi. Through these semiotic signs, it is hoped will make it easier for readers to understand the story of the character Dzul-Qarnain completely, deeply and to know the symbolic message behind the story. To analyze the data, a semiotic method is needed. This study will use the semiotic theory of Charles Sanders Peirce, where a sign is something that represents something in some way or capacity for someone. Something that is used as a sign has a function, Peirce called it ground. The consequences of a sign (representamen) are always in a triadic relationship, namely a sign, object and interpretant. With the semiotic theory of Charles Sanders Peirce, a number of semiotic phenomena in the story of the character Dzul-Qarnain will be seen in more detail so that the reading is more accurate. Apart from that, two interpretations can be achieved, namely the semiotic interpretation of the linguistic signs in the story of Dzul-Qarnain and the semiotic interpretation of the preaching message which is the main goal of the Qur'an in this story.

Abstract

This paper tries to analyze verbal clauses in the short story Al-Hilm Ar- -Ra’i by Najeeb Al-Kailani by paying attention to the types and functions within the text. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using library research and short story analysis methods. The syntactic approach is used in this study.  The focus of this research is the analysis of verbal clauses in the short story Al-Hilm Ar- Ra’i by Najeeb Al-Kailani as primary data. Secondary data were obtained from books and scientific articles using the syntactic analysis theory by Musthafa Al-Ghulayaini. The data collected consists of verbal clauses or jumlah fi’liyyah. The data collection technique used is the library research technique. Data analysis techniques include four parts: identifying the data, determining the data, and examining the data results. The results of the study show two types and positions of clauses. First, clauses that occupy a function in the sentence structure; within the short story, there were 9 verbal clauses (from all 27 data) that occupy a function in the sentences. Second, clauses that do not occupy a function in the sentence structure are indicated by 18 data. However, based on their positions, clauses can be divided into two categories: complete clauses and incomplete clauses. There were 9 complete clauses, and 7 incomplete clauses found. This research provides an in-depth understanding of verbal clauses and their various types and positions, as well as their relevance to theories in syntactic analysis. The implications of these findings can be used to help readers or other researchers expand their knowledge of Arabic language structure and possibly apply it in different contexts.

Abstract

Unit Pelaksana Teknis (UPT) Balai Latihan Kerja (BLK) Kabupaten Balangan, yang berada di bawah naungan Dinas Koperasi, Usaha Kecil Menengah, dan Tenaga Kerja (DKUKMTK) setiap tahunnya membuka program pelatihan berbasis kompetensi, permasalahannya kurangnya sarana dan prasarana yang ada pada setiap kejuruan, Kurangnya sumber daya manusia atau instruktur dan masih banyak peserta yang kurang serius dalam mengikuti pelatihan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui Efektivitas Program Pelatihan Kerja Pada UPT. Balai Latihan Kerja Kabupaten Balangan serta faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode deskriftif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Sumber data diambil melalui penarikan secara Snowball sampling berjumlah 12 orang. Setelah data terkumpul kemudian dianalisis dengan teknik meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi data atau penarikan kesimpulan. Uji kredibilitas data antara lain perpanjangan pengamatan, meningkatkan ketekunan, triangulasi, analisis kasus negatif, dan mengadakan membercheck. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Efektivitas Program Pelatihan Kerja Pada UPT. Balai Latihan Kerja Kabupaten Balangan kurang efektif, terlihat dari indikator kurang efektif yaitu: Pertama, instruktur pelatihan kerja tidak efektif, Kedua, adaptasi pelatihan kerja kurang efektif. Ketiga, pelatihan kerja belum efektif. Keempat, proses pembelajaran kurang efektif. Dan Kelima, keterampilan pelatihan kerja kurang efektif. Sedangkan indikator sudah efektif yaitu Pertama, jumlah pelatihan sudah efektif. Kedua, hasil dari pelatihan kerja sudah efektif. Ketiga, tujuan pelatihan kerja sudah efektif. Keempat, keberhasilan pelatihan kerja sudah efektif. Kelima, persaingan pelatihan kerja sudah efektif. Faktor penghambat yang mempengaruhi Efektivitas Program Pelatihan Kerja Pada UPT. Balai Latihan Kerja Kabupaten Balangan adalah kurangnya instruktur kejuruan, kurangnya keseriusan siswa pelatihan kerja dan kurangnya anggaran. Sedangkan faktor pendukung yang mendukung berjalannya program pelatihan kerja pada UPT. Balai Latihan Kerja (BLK) Balangan adalah terpenuhinya siswa pada setiap jurusan, pelatihan dapat mengembangkan keterampilan baru dan pelatihan kerja yang bertujuan meningkatkan individu. Untuk meningkatkan efektivitas program pelatihan kerja Disarankan Kepada Kepala UPT. Balai Latihan Kerja Kabupaten Balangan agar menambah instruktur kejuruan agar meningkatkan kualitas pelatihan dan memastikan bahwa peserta mendapatkan pendidikan yang relevan dengan kebutuhan serta menambahkan anggaran untuk kedepannya agar dalam sarana dan prasrana terpenuhi dan instruktur pelatihan kerja agar kualitas pelatihan dapat ditingkatkan secara signifikan. Instruktor yang ahli dalam bidangnya mampu memberikan penjelasan yang lebih mendalam, berbagi pengalaman praktis, serta memberikan keterampilan yang lebih spesifik dan relevan dengan kebutuhan industri

Abstract

This study aims to examine the phenomenon of code-switching and code-mixing in digital interactions through the analysis of Deddy Corbuzier's podcast episode with Agnez Monica entitled “VIDI: OM balding, AGNEZ MO LOE CELINGKUH1N⁉️DAH G11L444 YA LOE OM " which was uploaded on March 1, 2025 with a duration of 1 hour 35 minutes 41 seconds. The method used is descriptive qualitative with micro sociolinguistic approach through transcription and thematic analysis based on typology Chaer (situational, metaphorical, and identity tagging). The results found 16 code switching and 21 code mixing, with a predominance of external code switching (Indonesian–English) of 68%. Three main communication strategies were identified, namely: (1) situational switching to adjust the topic of conversation, (2) metaphorical switching as a means of humor and emotional suppression, and (3) identity marking through English vocabulary to strengthen the image of Agnez Monica as a global artist. Further analysis showed that 74% of code switching was done by Agnez Monica to affirm professional identity while bridging audiences across generations. These findings confirm that multilingual practice in podcasts serves not only   as a communication strategy, but also as a means of forming cultural identity in the digital space. This study contributes to the development of media sociolinguistic studies by adapting the Chaer model in the context of new media and offering recommendations on communication strategies for content creators in Indonesia.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the use of vocabulary in the comments column on the upload titled “This Woman celebrates her own birthday” on The Jakarta Keras Instagram account. The approach used is descriptive qualitative with data obtained through the collection of comments from internet users. The Data is then grouped according to the type of vocabulary, such as abbreviations, decapitations, contractions and acronyms. Analyses were conducted to explore lexical and semantic aspects in a digital context. The results showed that the vocabulary in the comments serves not only as a means of communication, but also hints at the views, feelings and stereotypes that develop in society. There is a tension between moral values, empathy, humor and the form of verbal violence reflected in the comments. The choice of words used by internet users reflects a collective identity as well as a particular social position, while showing the relationship between online community norms and freedom of expression. The study highlights the importance of vocabulary analysis in social media as a way to understand the communication patterns of digital society. It is hoped that these findings can deepen the study of social linguistics, pragmatics, and digital media, as well as provide a broader understanding of the use of language in online interactions. In addition, this research could serve as a basis for the development of digital literacy that is more sensitive to language ethics and the impact of communication in virtual public spaces.

Abstract

This article aims to explore the close relationship between language policy and national education in Indonesia as two fundamental components in shaping the direction of national development. The language policy discussed includes aspects of language planning, development, fostering, and protection, which include Indonesian as the national language, regional languages as cultural heritage, and foreign languages as a means of global communication. The implementation of the language policy covers various domains, such as mass media, formal and non-formal education systems, the judicial system and public administration, and international relations. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach strengthened by an in-depth literature study method. This study examines various policy documents, previous research results, government regulations, and the thoughts of language and education experts. The results of the study show that language and education policies are dynamically interrelated in forming the nation's collective identity, strengthening nationalism, and equipping students with language and character competencies that are relevant to the demands of the times. Language policies that are integrated into the education system can improve students' literacy skills, enrich national insight, and foster an attitude of tolerance towards cultural diversity and local languages.
