Abstract

Abstract. Character education, particularly discipline, is crucial for shaping students' personalities from an early age. Despite its importance, disciplinary issues such as tardiness, unexplained absences, and non-participation in ceremonies are still prevalent in elementary schools, negatively impacting character development and academic achievement. Flag ceremonies, routinely held in Indonesian schools like SD Negeri Dalangan 01, are considered an important medium for instilling national values and discipline. However, observations at SD Negeri Dalangan 01 revealed varying levels of participation and discipline among students. This study aimed to deeply examine the positive influence of student participation in flag ceremonies on the formation of their disciplinary character at SD Negeri Dalangan 01. A quantitative method with an associative design was employed, involving 35 students from grades IV, V, and VI selected via Simple Random Sampling. Data were collected using Likert-scale questionnaires for participation and discipline, which demonstrated high validity and reliability. Prerequisite tests confirmed normal distribution, linearity, and no heteroscedasticity. Simple linear regression analysis yielded a regression equation of Yi = 44.378 + 0.446Xi, indicating a positive relationship. The T-test (t-statistic = 4.448 > t-table = 2.035, Sig. = 0.000 < 0.05) confirmed a significant positive influence. The coefficient of determination (R-squared = 0.375) revealed that flag ceremony participation accounts for 37.5% of the variation in disciplinary character formation, with the remaining 62.5% influenced by other unexamined factors. The study concludes that student participation in flag ceremonies significantly influences disciplinary character, highlighting the crucial role of routine ceremonies through positive habituation in instilling disciplinary values.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the understanding of the concepts of the Pancasila precepts by using the talking stick learning model. This research was Classroom Action Research (CAR) consisting of two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings with four stages there are planning,action,observation,reflecting. Data collection techniques are tests, interview, observations, and documentation. Data validity uses triangulation of methods and data sources. Data analysis techniques using interactive analysis techniques. The results of the study prove that the use of the talking stick model can increase the understanding of the concepts of the Pancasila precepts.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to increase conceptual understanding of Indonesia independence struggle by applying Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) model. This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with two cycles. Subjects of the research are fifth grade students and teacher at SD N Kartasura 07, totalling 19 students. Data collection techniques that being used are interview, observe, test and documentation with data analysis of contents validity, source tringaluation and technique triangulation. Data analysis used is the interactive  analysis model by Miles-Huberman’s technique. The first cycle resulting in a percentage of 52,63% in classical and the result of second cycle with the percentage of 89,47% in classical. The conclusion is the result of understanding the conceptual of Indonesia independence struggle have increased through the Two Stay Two Stray model in fifth grade students of SD N Kartasura 07 in the academic year of 2018/2019.

Abstract

One of the 6 dimensions in the Pancasila learner profile that students must have is critical reasoning. The purpose of this study to improve the ability to reason critically in learning Pancasila Education through the application of the group investigation model in grade V elementary school students. The method in this research is a classroom action research method (PTK) carried out in two cycles. The research subjects were students of class VB SDN Nayu with a total of 27 students. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, documentation, and tests. Triangulation of techniques and sources is a method of testing validity. Initial conditions showed the percentage of 22%, cycle I meeting 1 increased to 30%, and at meeting 2 the percentage of completeness was 52%, the average in cycle I was 37%. In cycle II meeting 1 the percentage of completeness was 74% and at meeting 2 it increased to 93%, the average in cycle II was 89%. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the application of the group investigation learning model can improve the ability to reason critically in learning Pancasila Education in class VB students of SDN Nayu.

Abstract

This study aims to improve understanding of Indonesia's Rich Culture material by using the Problem Based Learning learning model for students SD Negeri 2 Kuwarisan Kebumen. This research approach is qualitative with the type of research, Classroom Action Research (PTK). The research that has been carried out has two cycles. Each cycle has two meetings. Each meeting has planning, action, and reflection. The subjects of this research are fourth grade students of SD Negeri 2 Kuwarisan. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation, documentation and tests. The validity test technique uses technical triangulation. Data analysis techniques use interactive data analysis models from Miles and Huberman. Data analysis begins with data collection, data reduction, data presentation and data conclusions taken during the research. The results showed an increase in understanding of Indonesia's Rich Culture material by using the Problem Based Learning learning model. This can be seen in the increase in the percentage of students who meet the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) at the pre-action stage, cycle I, cycle II. The pre-action activities of students who have met the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) in understanding the material of Indonesia Kaya are 35.71% or there are 5 students. While students who have not met the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) are 64.07% or there are 9 students. In cycle I, students who have met the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) are 42.855 or there are 12 students. While 57.14% or 16 learners have not reached the minimum completeness criteria (KKM). In cycle II as many as 17.85% or there are 5 students who have not met the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) while for students who have met the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) as many as 82.14% or there are 23 students. The conclusion of this study is that the use of the Problem Based Learning learning model can improve understanding of IPAS learning material Indonesia is rich in culture.

Abstract

This research was conducted to examine the obstacles to implementing P5 with the topic Bhinneka Tunggal Ika at SDN Bumi 1 No. 67 Surakarta starting from the planning stage, implementation, to assessment and efforts made to overcome it. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method approach. The obstacles encountered in the implementation of P5 are due to internal factors and external factors. The obstacles caused by internal factors are the absence of training regarding P5 for teachers, P5 is not well documented due to lack of teacher understanding, and differences in perception between teachers and school principals. Meanwhile, obstacles are caused by external factors such as limited learning media, the lack of role of teachers and school principals in establishing collaboration, and the lack of involvement of committees and supervisors. The solution to overcome these obstacles are to encourage the strengthening of teacher capacity through training to be able to implement P5 in accordance with the guidelines, to equalize perceptions and build communication between teachers and the school principals, to work with the parents of pupils in providing adequate learning media and to optimize the role of the head, teacher, committee, and supervisor to support a collaborative school ecosystem.

Abstract

Abstract : This research was done to improve the speaking skills of fifth-grader state primary school Gumpang 3 of Sukoharjo in Academic Year 2017/2018  through the application of flash cards media.The research is an action classroom research by administering it in two cycles with 2 meetings per cycles. The stage of each cycle is planning, implementation . observation, and reflection. The subject in this research is fifth graders amount 34 students and their class teacher of State Primary School Gumpang 3 Sukoharjo. The technical of collecting data were used interview techniques, observation, documentation, and test. The data validation were used data source triangulation, data collection technique, and content validity. Technique for analyzing data were used the interactive model of analysis claimed by Miles and Huberman consisting of four phase, specifically: data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion of research.Based on the result of the research, reviewed on the minimal learning completeness criteria of  65 acumulation from 4 speaking aspect, in the pre-treatment the class average score was 43,75 with the classical learning completeness of 8,32%. Following the treatments at cycle I an increase has been made on the class average score became 67,1 with the classical learning completeness of 70,59%, then on the cycle II the class average score became 76,38 with the classical learning completeness of 85,29%. Thus can be drawn to the conclusion that the application of flash cards media could improve the speaking skill of the fifth-graders students of State Primary school Gumpang 3.Keywords: Flash Cards media, Speaking skill, Factual problem

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the cursive writing skills of second grade students. This research applies qualitative method of research and a case analysis methodological approach. The subjects of this research is a teacher and 14 students. The cursive writing skills of second grade students at SDN Tunggulsari 1 Surakarta are the topic of this research. In this research, cursive writing skills were evaluated using eight indicators: form, letter size, distance, slope, alignment, neatness, completion of letters, use of capital letters, and use of punctuation marks. The primary data of this research obtained through interviews with homeroom teacher, second grade students and obtained by observation. The secondary data used by researcher was the study of documents and documentation. The techniques in collecting data were observation, interviews, and the study of documents. The researcher applied source triangulation to validate the data. The Miles and Huberman model analytic procedures were used in this research. The results revealed that the cursive writing skills of second grade students remained deficient. The results of the research of cursive writing abilities based on eight indicators revealed that only five students are classified as sufficient, while the remaining nine students are classified as deficient.Kata kunci: second grade students, elementary school, cursive, cursive writing skill.

Abstract

The aim of the study was to describe the social skills in peer relations contained in the textbooks of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) for fourth grade students in the Merdeka Curriculum. This research is included in the type of content analysis research. This research is a descriptive qualitative research, this is because this research describes the reality of social skills in peer relations. Data collection techniques used were document inspection and interviews. Data validity testing techniques use techniques to increase persistence and use content validity of logical validity types. This study uses the interactive data analysis technique of the Miles and Huberman model. The results of the study concluded that social skills in peer relations which consisted of indicators of positive interaction with peers and having empathy with peers were included in the learning activities in the Natural and Social Sciences textbooks for fourth grade students of Merdeka Curriculum Elementary School. However, the level of domination of the development of each indicator of social skills in peer relations varies. Overall, the development of social skills in peer relations in the Natural and Social Sciences Textbook for Grade IV students at Merdeka Curriculum Elementary School has an unequal and uneven distribution pattern.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the impact of implementing the Team Games Tournament (TGT) learning model with the assistance of PhET Simulation media on the fundamental understanding of fractions among fourth-grade students at SDN Se-Laweyan District during the academic year 2023/2024. The research design employed is Quasi-Experimental with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The study sample consists of 47 fourth-grade students from SDN in Laweyan Subdistrict. Test assessments were utilized as the data collection method.The preliminary data analysis included normality and homogeneity tests. The results from the independent sample t-test indicated a significance level of Sig.<0.05 (0.000<0.05), leading to the rejection of H0 and acceptance of H1. In conclusion, this research demonstrates a noteworthy influence of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) learning model, supported by PhET Simulation media, on enhancing the understanding of basic fraction concepts among fourth-grade students at SDN Se-Laweyan District in the 2023/2024 academic year.
