Abstract

Background : Patient satisfaction is the primary indicator of the standards of a healthcare facility and a measure of service quality. When patient expectations are met by high-quality healthcare services, it results in a high level of service quality. There are several factors that affect oral health, including genetics, environment, behavior, and services. Riskesdas (2018) reported that 61.5% of the population in East Kalimantan faced oral health issues, with only 13.8% seeking treatment from dental professionals. In response, the Dentistry Study Program at Mulawarman University organized free dental care services during BKGN 2022, aiming to promote oral health awareness. This threeday event, held from December 5 to 7, 2022, included oral health counseling, tooth extraction, tooth filling, tartar cleaning (scaling), topical fluoride application, and fissure sealant procedures. Objective : The aim of this study was to explore an overview of patient satisfaction with dental and oral health services in Bulan Kesehatan Gigi Nasional (BKGN) 2022. Research Methods/ Implementation Methods : This study was a quantitative descriptive study with cross-sectional research design with a sample size of 300 individuals (total sampling). In this study, patients who have completed their treatment were asked to fill out a quetionnaire. Results : Descriptive analysis of the data revealed that tartar cleaning (scaling) was the most frequently performed procedure, accounting for 41% of cases. In terms of gender, women (66%) sought dental care more frequently than men (34%). Regarding age groups, the highest frequency of oral care was observed among individuals aged 17-25 years, corresponding to the late adolescence stage. Overall, the distribution of respondents who stated that they were satisfied with the oral health services at BKGN 2022 was (55.3%) and patients who stated that they were very satisfied were (36%). Conclusion/Lesson Learned : Overall, the distribution of respondents who stated that they were satisfied with the oral health services at BKGN 2022 was (55.3%). The predominant type of oral care provided during BKGN 2022 was scaling, whereas fissure sealants were the least commonly administered treatment.

Abstract

The determination of service rates in hospitals is often not based on unit cost calculations, but rather on fixed rates used by other hospitals for practicality and ease of implementation. This leads to the problem of differences between INA-CBGs rates and hospital rates in the era of the National Health Insurance (JKN). The study aimed to determine the unit cost of Hemodialysis services using the Activity-Based Costing method, and compare with hospital rates and INA CBGs, and calculate the recovery rate cost. This is a descriptive research study employing a case study approach. This research was conducted to describe the current condition of the hospital costing system, revealing the cost structure and calculation of service unit costs using the Activity-Based Costing method. The Hospital's financial transaction reports of 2023 were used as a data source. Data is grouped based on fixed costs, semi-variable costs, and variable costs, and then translated into direct costs and overhead costs to calculate the unit costs of hemodialysis. The results of the Hemodialysis unit cost calculation were compared with hospital rates and INA CBGs. The cost recovery rate was then calculated. The study results showed that the unit cost of Hemodialysis, calculated using the Activity-Based Costing method, was Rp1,364,257. The comparison result was that the unit cost was higher than the hospital rate (86%) and also than the INA CBGs rate (61%). The results of the cost recovery rate (CRR) calculation are still below 100%. Influencing factors include direct costs, overhead costs, and the number of actions.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) on Relationship Quality (RQ) in inpatient services at Abdul Wahab Sjahranie Regional Public Hospital, Samarinda. CRM in healthcare comprises four dimensions: Customer Knowledge, Customer Knowledge Management Capability, Customer Interaction, and Customization, which theoretically support patient trust, satisfaction, and commitment. Using a quantitative analytical survey design, data were collected from 390 purposively selected inpatients who had visited the hospital at least twice in the past six months. A closed-ended Likert scale questionnaire was used, and data were analyzed with the Chi-square test. Results show that Customer Knowledge, Customer Knowledge Management Capability, and Customization significantly affect RQ, while Customer Interaction has no significant effect. These findings highlight that understanding patients comprehensively, effectively managing patient knowledge, and tailoring services to patient needs are strategic in strengthening hospital–patient relationships. Practical implications suggest prioritizing CRM strategies focused on patient needs and experiences to foster long-term, mutually beneficial relationships.
