Abstract

This study analyzes investment strategies based on Modern Portfolio Theory (MPT) using a case study of two Malaysian construction companies, Bina Puri Holdings Bhd and Ahmad Zaki Resources Berhad (AZRB). The study evaluates the risk and return of both companies' stocks using variables such as average closing price, average return rate, variance, and standard deviation. The results show that Bina Puri Berhad has a higher average return (36.43%) compared to AZRB (11.23%), but it also comes with higher risk. The correlation between the two stocks was found to be weakly positive (0.1759), indicating potential diversification benefits within a portfolio. By applying MPT principles, the study identifies the optimal portfolio combination that minimizes risk while maximizing returns. The findings highlight the importance of diversification in portfolio management and the relevance of MPT in strategic investment decision-making.

Abstract

21st century education requires students to be able to develop various competenciew that not only include cognitive aspects, but also non-cognitive aspects such as attitudes, values and social skills. One inovative approach in developing assessment instruments is through the application of ecomath using Virtual Reality (VR) technology. Ecomath is packaged in market content presented in VR to stimulate students in learning mathematics. Problem based learning is used to boost students’ self-concept and problem solving abilities. This research is a qualitative descriptive study, which describes the results of implementing lesson study with the stages of plan, do, and see. The instruments used in this research were tests and observations. The research results showed an increase in self-concept and the ability to express between concepts by up to 21% in 2 cycles. Furthermore, VR can be used to stimulate students in learning economics with PjBL to increase insight and knowledge in meaningful learning.

Abstract

Setiap siswa memiliki cara belajar yang unik sesuai dengan karakter dan kemampuannya. Dalam menyusun pengetahuan, terdapat dua gaya kognitif yang berperan penting, yaitu gaya kognitif tergantung lapangan (field dependent) dan gaya kognitif mandiri lapangan (field independent). Gaya kognitif mandiri lapangan bersifat analitis dan kurang dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan sekitar.. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan proses konstruksi pengetahuan siswa dalam gaya kognitif mandiri lapangan dalam memahami materi logaritma pada mata pelajaran matematika di SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Gresik. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, dan 2 subjek yang diambil adalah 32 siswa dari kelas yang dipilih dengan teknik pengambilan sampel snowball sampling. Hasil uji menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan gaya kognitif mandiri lapangan memiliki konstruksi pengetahuan yang cenderung berpikir fokus, dapat mengidentifikasi apa yang mereka amati, mudah menganalisis informasi dalam bentuk teks atau video, memiliki konstruksi pengetahuan konseptual dan prosedural yang baik, serta memiliki pengetahuan metakognitif yang baik. Mereka cenderung memiliki keterampilan strategi, manajemen waktu, dan refleksi diri yang baik. Kata Kunci: gaya kongnitif, Field Independent, kontruksi pengetahuan

Abstract

The era of Society 5.0 is an era where the world will be directed or brought into concepts that apply technology. This article aims to determine: (1) the ability of students to recognize their talents and to know their aspirations, and (2) the urgency of student career counseling in facing the era of Society 5.0. The subjects of this study were 17 students at a public junior high school in Batang Regency, Central Java. Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded that students have feelings that are aware of themselves and who they are that are fragile so these students have an attitude that is more inclined to depend on others and cannot recognize themselves well. So there is an urgency to provide guidance and direction given by the teacher, especially in providing an overview of goals and careers that have a relevant relationship with the abilities, advantages, and talents possessed by students in facing the Society 5.0 era because in this era it is possible that in In the next few years, the role of humans in overcoming several problems in people's lives can be replaced by technology.

Abstract

Abstract Fitrah Savings at BMT Al-Rifa'ie is a fund collection product that uses a mudharabah contract with the type of unrestricted mudharabah, which is a contractual agreement between two parties where the shahibul maal (fund owner) provides capital. This study aims to analyze the profit-sharing mudharabah product at BMT Al-Rifa'ie. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method conducted on-site at BMT Al-Rifa'ie, located in Gondanglegi, Malang Regency, East Java, Indonesia. The subjects of this research are the manager of BMT Al-Rifa'ie and the board members of BMT Al-Rifa'ie, while the object is the Fitrah savings account that uses a mudharabah contract. The research findings show that the number of customers for the Fitrah Savings product increases significantly each year. The profit-sharing obtained varies monthly as it depends on the revenue earned and the economic condition of BMT Al-Rifa'ie. The profit-sharing calculation for the Fitrah Savings product at BMT Al-Rifa'ie uses a revenue-sharing system. Therefore, it can be concluded that the profit-sharing calculation for the mudharabah on Fitrah savings at BMT Al-Rifa'ie is in accordance with sharia provisions. The results of this study indicate that the practice of the mudharabah contract in the Fitrah savings product at BMT Al-Rifa'ie complies with the conditions and requirements of the mudharabah contract. Keywords: Mudharabah, Revenue Sharing, Savings, BMT Al-Rifa’ie Abstrak Simpanan Fitrah pada BMT Al-Rifa’ie merupakan produk penghimpunan dana yang menggunakan akad mudharabah dengan jenis mudharabah muthlaqah yakni akad perjanjian antara dua pihak yang mana shahibul maal (pemilik dana). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis produk bagi hasil mudharabah di BMT Al-Rifa’ie. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif yang dilakukan di tempat dan berlokasi di BMT Al-Rifa’ie Gondanglegi Kabupaten Malang Jawa Timur Indonesia. Subjek penelitian ini adalah manager BMT Al-Rifa’ie serta jajaran pengurus BMT Al-Rifa’ie dan objeknya adalah tabungan simpanan Fitrah yang menggunakan akad mudharabah. Hasil penelitian yang ditemukan adalah jumlah nasabah produk Simpanan Fitrah pada setiap tahunnya mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan. Bagi hasil yang didapatkan tidak sama setiap bulannya karena menyesuaikan dengan pendapatan yang diperoleh dan keadaan ekonomi BMT Al-Rifa’ie. Perhitungan bagi hasil produk simpanan fitrah di BMT Al-Rifa’ie meggunakan sistem bagi hasil revenue sharing. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa Perhitungan bagi hasil mudharabah pada simpanan Fitrah di BMT Al-Rifa’ie telah sesuai dengan ketentuan syariah. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa praktik akad mudharabah pada produk simpanan Fitrah di BMT Al-Rifa’ie telah sesuai dengan ketentuan dan syarat akad mudharabah. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini mendeskripsikan learning trajectory pada pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan strategi pembelajaran berdiferensiasi berdasarkan kemampuan dengan penguatan jumping task. Penelitian dilakukan di SMAN 1 Gresik yang melibatkan 28 subjek kelas XI-7 dengan menggunakan design research dari Gravemeijer dan Cobb melalui 3 tahapan dengan level pemodelan situasional, referential, dan formal. Tiga tahapan tersebut yaitu (1) preparing for the experiment yang mencakup penyusunan Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT) dengan menggunakan kemampuan awal. Siswa dibagi dalam dua kelompok yaitu berkemampuan cakap belum bisa menyelesaikan materi prasyarat dan berkemampuan mahir mampu menguasai materi prasyarat; (2) design experiment yang mencakup pelaksanaan pembelajaran berdasarkan HLT yang telah dirancang. Siswa dengan kemampuan cakap sudah mampu memahami materi prasyarat dan konsep fungsi komposisi sedangkan kemampuan mahir sudah memahami materi prasyarat, konsep fungsi komposisi, dan soal jumping task komposisi fungsi; dan (3) retrospective analysis, yaitu membandingkan HLT dengan pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa Actual Learning Trajectory (ALT) siswa memiliki empat level pemodelan, yaitu: level situational, level referential, dan level formal. Penelitian ini tidak ada level general. Pada level situasional diberikan permasalahan kontekstual yang menjadi pijakan awal untuk berkolaborasi dan berkomunikasi pada konsep matematis. Level referential menggiring siswa melakukan representasi masalah nyata ke konsep matematika yang sebenarnya. Level formal menggiring siswa menyelesaikan model matematika yang sudah dibuat.

Abstract

This research focuses on the impact of credit and market risk, capital, and liquidity factors on the efficiency of Islamic banks operating under Government-Linked Companies (GLCs) in Malaysia. Based on Bank Islam Berhad, CIMB Islamic Berhad, and Maybank Islamic Berhad, the study examines how these variables influence profitability, measured by Return on Assets (ROA). Upon dealing with the quantitative approach, the findings contrast the literature in that risk constituents while varied in their significance have an equal significance on overall profitability. This study contributes to the literature on Islamic finance by providing practical recommendations for enhancing risk management and ensuring financial sustainability in the Islamic banking sector.

Abstract

This research aims to describe students' numeracy problem-solving abilities based on the Polya stages in terms of learning styles. The subjects of this research were 3 female students, namely 1 student with a high-ability visual learning style, 1 student with a high-ability auditory learning style, and 1 student with a high-ability kinesthetic learning style. Data collection techniques include conducting tests and semi-structured interviews. Data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The research results obtained were that subjects with an auditory learning style had better abilities compared to subjects with a visual learning style and a kinesthetic learning style. Subjects with an auditory learning style have good problem-solving abilities at all stages of Polya. Meanwhile, subjects with a visual learning style have good problem-solving abilities in understanding problems and making plans even though they are incomplete in writing down information. Then subjects with a kinesthetic learning style have good problem-solving abilities at all stages of Polya even though the subjects are incomplete in writing down information at the stage of understanding the problem and making plans.

Abstract

The rapid development of science and technology significantly improved the quality and efficiency of education. This paper aimed to study mathematics, the most important subject in high school education, and explored how teachers' technological literacy, curriculum design, attitudes towards technology, and professional development for technology integration affected the student learning outcomes in the form of a questionnaire about 214 teachers who participated. The objective consistency index (IOC) was used to evaluate the content validity of the project during the research phase. The results showed that, except for one item, all other items exhibited good consistency. From most to least significant, the factors influencing student learning outcomes are teachers' technical literacy > curriculum design > attitude toward technology > development of mathematics education for teachers, with correlation coefficients of 0.608, 0.447, 0.436, and 0.289, respectively. Teacher technological literacy, curriculum design, and attitude toward technology were significantly positively correlated with student learning outcomes and could promote learning effectiveness. Technology was developing rapidly. Teachers' technical literacy, curriculum design, and attitude towards technology were all actively changed with the times, effectively stimulating students' interest in learning from multiple dimensions and thus improving students' confidence in learning.

Abstract

Since the 18th National Congress, China has prioritized rural development, emphasizing vocational education as crucial for cultivating skilled professionals and addressing rural challenges. Rural areas face persistent talent shortages, creating strong synergies between vocational education and revitalization efforts. National policies explicitly position vocational education as instrumental in training new professional farmers and supporting rural development strategies. This research focuses on Baoshan Vocational College as a case study, employing lifelong education theory, human capital theory, and Foster's rural education framework. The study examines domestic and international models of vocational education supporting rural development through comparative case analysis, surveys, and field investigations. The research explicitly assesses training needs among local farmers and identifies gaps in current vocational education programs. Building on these findings, the study proposes practical strategies for optimizing the college's resources to serve rural revitalization better. The outcomes aim to enhance institutional development, support regional revitalization, and contribute to broader theoretical and practical knowledge. Ultimately, this research provides valuable insights for policymakers developing vocational education strategies and implementing comprehensive rural revitalization initiatives.
