Abstract

Poverty remains one of the major factors hindering the equal distribution of education quality in Indonesia. Economic limitations directly affect the availability of school facilities, ranging from infrastructure, laboratories, and libraries to access to digital technology. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method and literature review to analyze the impact of poverty on educational facilities. The findings reveal that schools in impoverished areas often lack adequate classrooms, functional laboratories, sufficient book collections, and digital resources to support learning. Such conditions not only lower the quality of education but also widen the gap between wealthy and underprivileged regions. Addressing this issue requires collaborative efforts from the government, private sector, and society through initiatives such as operational assistance programs, school revitalization, and CSR support. These efforts are expected to foster a more inclusive, equitable, and high-quality education system for all students across Indonesia

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK) mendorong transformasi layanan publik menuju sistem yang lebih efisien, transparan, dan akuntabel. Salah satunya adalah penerapan sistem informasi absensi berbasis aplikasi, seperti SiAbon yang digunakan di Dinas PUPR Provinsi Jambi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji fungsionalitas aplikasi SiAbon menggunakan metode Black Box Testing guna memastikan apakah fitur-fitur yang tersedia telah berjalan sesuai kebutuhan pengguna. Metode penelitian dilakukan melalui tahapan identifikasi masalah, pengumpulan data, analisis, perancangan, hingga pengujian sistem. Hasil pengujian difokuskan pada empat bagian utama, yaitu halaman login, halaman utama, halaman absen, dan halaman absen hari ini. Secara keseluruhan, pengujian menunjukkan bahwa fungsi utama aplikasi berjalan sesuai spesifikasi dan dinyatakan valid, meskipun terdapat kekurangan pada fitur bantuan yang belum berfungsi optimal. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa aplikasi SiAbon layak digunakan dalam mendukung administrasi absensi pegawai secara daring, namun tetap memerlukan perbaikan dan pemeliharaan berkala untuk meningkatkan kualitas serta reliabilitas sistem di masa mendatang.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how students of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at Universitas Tanjungpura utilize social media as a means of political education, and to identify supporting factors and challenges. This phenomenon is significant because social media now serves as a new public space influencing the mindset, critical attitudes, and political awareness of the younger generation. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected through in-depth interviews, direct observations, and relevant document analysis involving 16 active social media users. The findings indicate that social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and WhatsApp play an important role in enhancing students’ understanding of civic rights and duties, broadening access to political information, and encouraging participation in public discourse. However, challenges identified include the spread of hoaxes, political fatigue, and limited digital literacy. Theoretically, this study contributes to the understanding of digital political socialization by highlighting social media's dual function as an educational platform and a space vulnerable to misinformation. Practically, it underscores the need for sustained digital literacy enhancement and academic support to effectively leverage social media for nonformal political education. This study emphasizes the importance of synergy between educational institutions and digital spaces in fostering a critical and democratic political culture among students.

Abstract

In 2023, the Community Service Program (KKN) system at Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau State Islamic University (UIN Suska Riau) found several significant obstacles based on user feedback. These include prolonged server downtime, difficulty accessing KKN locations, as well as errors and login issues that affect the efficiency of using the system during registration. To address these issues, research was conducted using two methods: HEART Metrics and Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA). HEART Metrics measures user experience through the variables of Happiness, Engagement, Adoption, Retention, and Task Success. IPA identifies improvement priorities by mapping item performance against their importance to users. The results showed that the level of usability based on the HEART variables (Happiness, Engagement, Retention, and Task Success) was classified as "Medium", while Adoption was in the "High" category. Further analysis showed that 9 out of 20 items require improvement, including user satisfaction, attractive design, convenience, accessibility, feature optimization, system quality, site selection, error reduction, and efficiency. These results indicate that the user experience of UIN Suska Riau's KKN system needs to be improved by addressing the items mentioned.

Abstract

Layanan bimbingan dan konseling di perguruan tinggi merupakan instrumen vital dalam mendukung keberhasilan mahasiswa secara holistik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi layanan bimbingan konseling pada empat bidang utama: pribadi, sosial, belajar, dan karier. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui studi literatur dan wawancara terhadap mahasiswa di Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa layanan pribadi membantu stabilitas emosi, layanan sosial meningkatkan kemampuan adaptasi, layanan belajar mengoptimalkan prestasi akademik, dan layanan karier memberikan arah kesiapan kerja. Kesimpulannya, integrasi keempat layanan ini secara berkelanjutan mampu meminimalisir hambatan perkembangan mahasiswa di era pendidikan modern.

Abstract

Community empowerment in the digital age requires an approach that is not only oriented towards economic capacity building, but also the strengthening of social and religious values within the community. This article aims to analyse the implementation of community empowerment programmes in Sukajadi Timur Sub-District through the integration of digital literacy and religious social activities as a community-based development model. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a participatory design involving MSME actors, youth, community leaders, and local residents as research subjects. Data were collected through participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, activity documentation, and reflective discussions, then analysed using thematic analysis techniques. The results of the study indicate that digital literacy training improves the online marketing capabilities of MSMEs, broadens teenagers' understanding of digital ethics, and increases the community's confidence in utilising technology. On the other hand, religious social activities strengthen social cohesion, community participation, and value stability in the face of digital change. The integration of these two aspects produces a multidimensional empowerment model, covering simultaneous economic, social, and moral capacity building, and has the potential to become a sustainable empowerment strategy at the village level.
