Abstract

Go organic in 2010 is a program launched by the government to produce organic agricultural products. The organic red chili plant is one of the products of the go organic program in 2010 which has high economic value, so it is necessary to increase the red chili plant the productivity. The use of local microorganisms can be used as an alternative in producing organic chili products. This study aims to determine the effect of type and dose of the best local microorganism on the growth and yield of chili. The study used a factorial randomized block design consisting of two factors. The first factor was local microorganisms (P) type consisting of 3 levels: P1(vegetables), P2(tomatoes), and P3(vegetables and tomatoes), the second factor was local microorganisms (D) dose consisting of 5 levels: D0: 0 cc/L of water, D1: 25 cc/L, D2: 50 cc/L, D3: 75 cc/L, D4: 100 cc/L. The results showed that P3D1 is the best treatment in increasing plant height, flowers number and accelerating 80% flowering age. Treatment of MOL P1 type and 25 cc/L dose is the best treatment in increasing the chili plants diameter. P3D4 is the best treatment in increasing the chilies wet weight per plant.

Abstract

Village tourism objects offer valuable assets that can be utilized by the village government in accelerating the welfare of the village community. The utilization of these assets cannot be separated from English communication competence. English competence has an effect on the quality of tourist services, particularly for foreign visitors. This service activity aims to improve communication skills in the English language of tourism and awareness of the essence of hospitality toward twenty-five persons in Meler village tourism. The service was carried out at the traditional house of Meler village and Meler tourist village cottage for four months (March - June 2021), once a week. The methods used to achieve this goal are lectures, question and answer, discussion, role-playing, demonstrations and personal presentation. The results show that the training participants understand the role of hospitality in tourism services and increase the fluency of communicating English in the tourism field.

Abstract

Pestisida dalam tanah dan lingkungan air yang terkontaminasi telah menjadi salah satu masalah yang paling sensasional karena efek merusak terhadap kesehatan masyarakat dan lingkungan. Kajian ini dilakukan untuk mencari isolat potensial mikroba pendegradasi pestisida dari beberapa penggunaan lahan dan menguji potensinya terhadap degradasi pestisida. Hasil yang diperoleh terdapat empat isolat pendegradasi herbisida dan dua isolat pendegradasi pestisida, empat isolat pendegradasi herbisida adalah H1RST1, HRT25,  H3RSH2 dan HRT100, sedangkan dua isolat pendegradasi pestisida adalah PRT50 dan P1RST1. Karakterisasi yang dilakukan adalah pewarnaan gram, uji patogenitas dan uji viabilitas. Uji gram menunjukan semua isolat merupakan gram negatif dengan bentuk sel kokus, basil panjang dan basil pendek. Uji patogenitas pada daun tembakau menunjukan semua isolat tidak bersifat pathogen pada tanaman dengan tidak adanya gejala nekrosis. Uji viabilitas meekrosis. Uji viabilitas menunjukan isolat HRT25 memiliki nilai OD tertinggi 4,0, sedangkan isolat P1RST1 dan H3RST2menunjukan nilai OD terendah yaitu 0 pada masa inkubasi 48 jam.

Abstract

Pelatihan penanganan pascapanen kopi di tingkat petani kopi merupakan suatu upaya strategis yang dilakukan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman serta keterampilan petani kopi dalam penanganan pascapanen kopi. Pada tahap awal kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM), ditemukan bahwa petani kopi di Kelurahan Nantal Golo Welu belum memiliki pengetahuan yang mendalam tentang penanganan pascapanen kopi serta kendala dalam sistem pemasaran. Berdasarkan hasil observasi tahap awal maka solusi yang dilakukan yaitu melaksanakan asesmen lapangan yang berhubungan dengan analisis situasi tingkat petani, mengorganisir petani dan memberi pelatihan penanganan pascapanen kopi. Metode kegiatan yang diberikan meliputi: (1) metode observasi langsung, (2) metode wawancara terstruktur, (3) metode ceramah, simulasi, (4) Metode diskusi terbuka dan juga memberikan modul penanganan pascapanen kopi serta melakukan evaluasi dan monitoring. Hasil kegiatan pelatihan pascapanen kopi secara nyata memberi dampak positif terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan petani kopi di Kelurahan Nantal Golo Welu yang dapat diketahui dari hasil pre-test 5,35% dan post-test 8,23%. Hasil evaluasi dan monitoring yang dilakukan setelah 1 bulan kegiatan pelatihan, diketahui bahwa petani kopi di Kelurahan Nantal Golo Welu sudah melaksanakan kegiatan pascapanen kopi khususnya pengolahan hilir biji kopi. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan pelatihan pascapanen kopi di Kelurahan Nantal GoloWelu yaitu terjai peningkatan pengetahuan daan keterampilan serta adanya komitmen petani kopi didalam kegiatan pascapanen kopi.

Abstract

ABSTRAKKegiatan usahatani jahe merah pada lahan sempit dengan memanfaatkan limbah kantong atau zak semen bekas merupakan satu upaya pemanfaatan peluang usahatani dengan meminimalisir dan menekan kerusakan lingkungan akibat limbah kantong atau zak. Pada kegiatan awal Pengapdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM), ditemukan bahwa petani di Desa Bangka Ajang belum memiliki pengetahuan serta ketrampilan dalam kegiatan usahatani jahe merah pada lahan sempit dengan memanfaatkan limbah kantong atau zak semen. Berangkat dari kondisi tersebut, solusi yang telah dilakukan adalah melakukan kegiatan analisis situasi tingkat petani, mengelompokan petani, memberi penyuluhan usahatani jahe merah, demplot, diskusi bersama, evaluasi, dan rencana monitoring. Petani yang belum memahami materi penyuluhan pertanian, akan didampingi secara intensif. Adapun metode kegiatan yang dilakukan, yaitu (1) metode observasi langsung, (2) metode wawancara terstruktur, (3) metode ceramah, demonstrasi, simulasi, (4) Metode diskusi terbuka. Kegiatan penyuluhan pertanian dengan sistem latihan dan kunjungan dikatakan efektif karena para petani mampu menjelaskan kembali materi penyuluhan yang disampaikan dan juga prosedur dalam kegiatan demplot sesuai yang disampaikan oleh narasumber. Dari hasil evaluasi dan monitoring yang dilakukan setelah 1 bulan kegiatan penyuluhan, diketahui bahwa Petani di Desa Bangka Ajang sudah berkomitmen dan melaksanakan kegiatan usahatani budidaya jahe merah pada lahan sempit dengan memanfaatkan limbah kantong atau zak semen.Kata kunci: lahan sempit; limbah kantong semen; usahtani jahe merah ABSTRACTRed ginger farming activity on narrow land by utilizing waste cement bags to exploit farming opportunities by minimizing and suppressing environmental damage due to bag waste. In the initial Community Service activity, it was found that farmers in Bangka Ajang Village did not yet have the knowledge and skills in red ginger farming activities on narrow land by utilizing cement bags. The solution that has been carried out is to conduct farmer-level situation analysis activities, group farmers, provide counseling on red ginger farming, demonstration plots, joint discussions, evaluation, and monitoring plans. Farmers who do not understand agricultural extension materials will be assisted intensively. The methods of activities carried out are (1) direct observation method, (2) structured interview method, (3) lecture method, demonstration, simulation, (4) open discussion method. Agricultural extension activities with a training and visit system are effective because the farmers can explain again the extension material presented and also the procedures in the demonstration plot activities according to what the informants say. From the results of evaluation and monitoring carried out after 1 month of extension activities, it is known that farmers in Bangka Ajang Village have committed and carried out red ginger farming activities on narrow land by utilizing cement bags.

Abstract

Natural charm, cultural attractions and agro-tourism are the main objects of Meler tourism village. These tourism objects not only provide a wonderful natural persona (rice field spider web terrace) but also a variety of traditional dances that contain historical, educational and humanistic values that are universally applicable. These advantages can be utilized to boost the economy of rural communities. However, tourism village administrators must be digitally literate in order to maximize the economic impact of these tourism assets. The outcome target of this community service is to improve the digital literacy skills of the seven Meler tourist village administrators. This community service was carried out at the Meler village office for two months (May – June 2021), twice a week. A number of methods have been applied to meet the intended outcome targets, namely lecturing, questions and answers, discussions, demonstrations and presentations. The results indicate that the training participants have understood and applied the concept of digital literacy in managing tourism villages.

Abstract

Abstrak: Digital marketing adalah kegiatan mempromosikan dan memasarkan produk secara online melalui platform media sosial. Kegiatan PkM ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan kepada para siswa SMK Restorasi Timung Wae Ri’i terkait dengan market digital supaya dapat memberikan bekal di dunia pekerjaan atau di jenjang perguruan tinggi. Metode yang digunakan yaitu penyuluhan dan pelatihan dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 32 orang. Pelaksana kegiatan pengabdian diawali dengan prakegiatan, kegiatan, evaluasi dan monitoring. Materi yang disampaikan adalah digital marketing dengan memanfaatkan sosial media facebook, instagram, whatsapp, tik tok dan youtube sebagai media pemasarannya. Hasil pelaksanaan menunjukan bahwa para siswa sangat partisipasi untuk mengikuti kegiatan PkM ini karena market digital merupakan salah satu tekologi yang belum banyak dipahami oleh siswa SMK di era teknologi saat ini. Pada saat melakukan demonstrasi siswa SMK Restorasi begitu antusias untuk mendengarkan penjelasan. Berdasarkan hasil presentase kemampuan siswa rata-rata untuk pretest 61 % dan posttest 95 % di ketahui bahwa metode yang digunakan sangat efektif sehingga sesuai dengan tingkat kepuasan siswa SMK sangat baik.Abstract: Digital marketing is the activity of promoting and marketing products online through social media platforms This PkM activity aims to provide training to students of SMK Restorasi Timung Wae Ri'I related to the digital market so that they can provide provisions in the world of work or at the university level. The method used is counseling and training with a total of 32 students. The implementation of service activities begins with pre-activities, activities, evaluation and monitoring. The material presented is digital marketing by utilizing social media Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Tik Tok and YouTube as marketing media. The results of the implementation showed that the students were very participating in this PkM activity because the digital market is one of the technologies that is not widely understood by SMK students in the current technological era. During the demonstration, the students of SMK Restorasi were so enthusiastic to listen to the explanation. Based on the results of the average student ability percentage for pretest 61% and posttest 95%, it is known that the method used is very effective so that it suits the level of satisfaction of SMK students very well.

Abstract

Sorghum has a high adaptability in its growth in dry and marginal lands. Coastal sandy land is characterized by sandy texture and rapid water drainage. Developing sorghum in coastal sandy lands can be a utilization of land resources to produce local food materials in East Nusa Tenggara. This research aims to determine the growth respons and yield of various sorghum varieties in coastal sandy lands. The research was conducted in Dampek Village, East Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara. The research used a Complete Randomized Block Design (CRBD) method with one factor, which is sorghum varieties. The sorghum varieties used were Bioguma-1, Suri-3, and Super-2. The observed research parameters included plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, and panicle weight. The research results were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) at a significant level of 5%. Based on the study results, it is known that all three sorghum varieties can provide a good growth response for each parameter. The three sorghum varieties, Suri-3, Bioguma-2, and Super-2, can adapt well to coastal sandy lands in Dampek Village, East Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara.

Abstract

The excessive and continuous use of inorganic fertilizers can indirectly reduce soil quality and fertility. This can result in high production costs, yet unsatisfactory yields and product quality. One effort to address this issue is by using organic liquid fertilizer derived from coffee pulp waste. This study aims to determine the effects and the appropriate dosage of liquid organic fertilizer made from coffee pulp waste on the growth of Arabica coffee seedlings. The research was conducted at the Wulang Pari Coffee Processing Unit in Laci Carep Village, Langke Rembong Subdistrict, Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, from July 2024 to August 2024. The study utilized a Randomized Block Design with one factor, which was the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer from coffee pulp waste consisting of 5 treatment levels and repeated 4 times. Each treatment consisted of 5 plants, resulting in a total of 100 plants. From each experimental unit, 3 sample plants were taken, resulting in 75 sample plants. The treatment levels used were K0 = Control (0 ml/application), K1 = 20 ml/application, K2 = 40 ml/application, K3 = 60 ml/application, and K4 = 80 ml/application. The results of the study concluded that the application of various concentrations of liquid organic fertilizer from coffee pulp waste did not significantly differ in their effects, and the concentration P4 (80 ml/application) provided the optimal dosage for research parameters such as plant height, number of leaves, and number of shoots.

Abstract

Shallots are a horticultural commodity with high economic value because shallots are always used in almost every dish. The importance of knowledge about shallot cultivation technology according to the agroecosystem has yet to be fully distributed at the Bantang Cama Farmers Group in Manggarai Regency. The targets to be achieved from this PKM program are increasing the skills of farmer groups in Waso Village regarding the cultivation of Bima Brebes shallots, as well as the results of adaptation of Bima Brebes shallots through the implementation of cultivation carried out in the highlands. Service activities were carried out in the "Bantang Cama" farmer group in Waso Village, Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara, with 36 participants. They went through the stages of field observation, literature study, outreach, demonstration, and evaluation. The evaluation was carried out using a pretest and posttest to measure the improvement in the skills of the farmer group and see the results of the Bima Brebes shallots that had been cultivated. The results of the service showed that the skills of the farmer group after participating in the socialization increased from 38.50% to 87.60%. Bima Brebes shallots produced low plant height, number of leaves, and tillers. This shows a mechanism of low adaptability to the agroecosystem, the highlands in Waso Village.
