Abstract

Abstract Domestic violence (DV) is a crime that still frequently occurs in society, yet many victims are reluctant to report it due to legal misunderstandings or social pressure. Domestic violence is not only a moral issue but also a criminal offense. This article analyzes the dangers and sanctions of domestic violence for young Indonesian Army soldiers. The purpose of this study is to increase the understanding of New Soldiers regarding the criminal law aspects related to domestic violence based on Law No. 23 of 2004, as a phenomenon that occurs in society Methods: The activity method includes counseling and interactive discussions at each Srada Bhakti activity. These activities are expected to empower new, unmarried soldiers to contribute to the elimination of domestic violence. The findings of this program aim to provide in-depth insight into Law No. 23 of 2004 concerning the Elimination of Domestic Violence, combined with the principles of Dharma in Hindu teachings that emphasize ahimsa (anti-violence), obligations between husband and wife, and the important value of harmony in the family for young Hindu soldiers. The Dharma Grehasta Counseling Program and Family Mediation This program is directed at developing young soldiers in living a household life in accordance with the principles of Grihastha Ashrama (stages of family life in the Hindu tradition). Abstract

The munggah truna, truni lan mepandes ceremony is part of manusa yadnya in Hinduism that signifies the process of individual maturation. In modern society, this ritual functions not only as a religious practice but also as a medium for ethical and character development. This article aims to examine the implementation of Sad Guna teachings in the collective performance of the Munggah Truna, Truni lan Mepandes ceremony at the Institut Agama Hindu Negeri Gde Pudja Mataram. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach using observation and documentation techniques. Data were analyzed descriptively and analytically through the lens of behavior theory. The findings indicate that the collective ceremony serves as a means of habituating ethical behavior through ritual stimuli, participants’ responses, and social-religious reinforcement. Sad Guna values are internalized in the form of discipline, self-control, adherence to ritual procedures, and social responsibility. Furthermore, the ceremony demonstrates the role of a religious higher education institution in value education, community service, and the preservation of Hindu traditions and cultural identity.

Abstract

Abstract

Educational technology is the study and practice of using technology to facilitate and enhance learning performance. During the Covid-19 pandemic, digital learning and the use of information technology were one of the solutions to minimize the risk of Covid-19, according to the government's health protocol. As a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), the Dharma Laksana Orphanage receives computer set donations from their funders. Based on preliminary reviews, the use of these computer devices is not optimal, both for students and teachers. The inability to optimize the use of computer devices seems to have an impact on the effectiveness of learning approaches by utilizing information technology. This Community Service was performed using the Service Learning methodology and was designed to assist in the development of human resources related to learning methods and media used during the Covid-19 pandemic. During this activity, Edmodo, the leading social learning platform, was successfully introduced. Blended Learning with Google Apps is also covered. It increased both student and teacher awareness of digital learning, as well as teacher competence in creating interactive learning media, by introducing a variety of educational platforms.

Abstract

The Pawotonan ritual is an important tradition for celebrating birthdays according to the Wuku calendar. However, over time, the philosophical values and symbolic meanings of Otonan, particularly Otonan Alit, have changed. The emergence of Gen Z birthday traditions has become dominant, thus obscuring the Otonan tradition. Ironically, Hindu women have slowly followed modern trends and nearly forgotten the tradition. Women in Bali are expected to have a broad understanding and skill set related to religious rituals, offerings, customs, and culture. In this context, preserving and strengthening cultural values through traditional media, such as Otonan Alit, is important and relevant. This study employs a qualitative approach with community service activities, including training on the production of Otonan offerings. This training will take place in the village of Dharma Praja, Giri Menang, Lombok Barat, on July 13, 2025. The training uses an observational approach based on participants' social conditions and abilities. The discussion is conducted in a humanistic manner to discuss participants' abilities to perform the Otonan ritual with their respective traditions. The documentation method was used to supplement the data obtained during the activity. The study focuses on creating banten otonan according to Hindu religious texts. The subjects/participants are the WHDI, Dharmika, and Srathi of Lombok Barat. The results of the training showed that the Otonan Alit medium can be an effective educational and reflective tool for fostering self-confidence, pride in identity, and awareness of the role of women in maintaining family and community harmony.
