Abstract

This research aims to apply Internet of Things technology to increase the efficiency of finding car parking spaces in shopping center environments. The system developed is expected to provide real-time parking availability information, guide users to suitable parking spaces, and reduce search time significantly. This research method involves web-based system design and prototyping. Parking space vacancy data will be collected via an ultrasonic sensor type HCSR04. And it will be sent from the ESP8266 microcontroller to the parking website. The application of Internet of Things technology to efficiently find parking spaces in shopping center environments is expected to produce positive results. Users will be able to access real-time parking availability information and reduce search time. In addition, the application of this technology is expected to improve user experience and optimize the use of parking spaces in shopping center environments. By combining web-based technology and HCSR04 type ultrasonic sensors, this system can provide an effective solution to increase the efficiency of finding parking spaces in shopping center environments. It is hoped that the positive impact of this research can contribute to the progress and management of the urban environment.

Abstract

The development of the Internet of Things (IoT) has enabled better integration between electronic devices and internet networks, creating new opportunities for remote control of devices. One example is controlling lights using Telegram as a communication interface. This research aims to design an IoT lighting control system connected to Telegram, allowing users to access and control lights remotely via the Telegram application. The system consists of a sensor to detect light intensity, a microcontroller to process data, and a communication module to send instructions to the lamp via relay. Users can send commands via Telegram to turn lights on, off, or adjust the brightness of lights according to their preferences, as well as program light responses based on environmental conditions. By leveraging a broad IoT infrastructure and communications platforms, such as Telegram, the system provides easy access and flexible control, offering the potential for practical implementation in a variety of contexts, including smart homes, offices, or urban environments.

Abstract

Aquaponics is a cultivation system that combines aquaculture (fish farming) and hydroponics (soil-less plant cultivation) in an integrated environment. To enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of aquaponic systems, technology is needed that can automatically and in real-time monitor and control various environmental parameters. This research aims to design and build a smart aquaponic control and monitoring system using Firebase and Internet of Things (IoT) technology. The system utilizes sensors to measure crucial parameters such as water pH, temperature, and dissolved oxygen levels. Data from these sensors are sent to the Firebase platform via IoT connections, enabling remote monitoring and control through a web-based application. Test results show that the developed system is capable of providing real-time data and issuing automatic notifications if any parameters are outside optimal ranges. The implementation of this system is expected to improve the productivity and sustainability of aquaponics by facilitating efficient management and maintenance.

Abstract

An Arduino-based control system for nutrient solution management in hydroponic plants is developed to enhance efficiency and plant quality. The system utilizes sensors to monitor environmental conditions and automatically adjusts pH and nutrient levels in the solution, thereby achieving an optimal environment for plant growth. Consequently, the system can improve crop yields, reduce labor costs, and enhance the efficiency of hydroponic farming practices.

Abstract

The fisheries industry continues to evolve, requiring innovative approaches to enhance production efficiency. Fish feeding management is a key aspect of cultivation that requires careful supervision and control. In this context, the use of Internet of Things (IoT) technology promises intelligent solutions that can efficiently monitor and control fish feeding. This research aims to design and implement an IoT-based Fish Feeding System at the Vocational Fisheries Department. Using qualitative methods involving surveys and direct observations, we developed a system consisting of integrated architecture with main components and appropriate control algorithms. With the adoption of IoT technology, fish feeding management can become more automated and measurable, improving feed efficiency and reducing waste. The implementation of this system also makes a positive contribution to vocational education in fisheries, providing practical experience to students. The results of this research indicate that the IoT-based Fish Feeding System has great potential to enhance fisheries production efficiency and provide an innovative approach to fish feeding management that can be widely adopted by the fisheries industry.

Abstract

Background: One of the artifacts found on the CT scan is a metal artifact. Metal artifacts are caused by metal objects present in patients' bodies. The file of metal artifacts can cover the organ that will be evaluated, and it can be inferred with the pixel value (CT number) assessment of the tissue around the metal. Purpose: To determine the effect of the band pass median filter and find the optimal filter to reduce metal artifacts on the head CT scan. Method: A total of 43 samples of patients's files from head CT-scan without any contrast were reconstructed using four band pass median filters and obtained R1, R2, R5, and R10 filters. Two radiology specialists were assessed for the reduction of metal artifacts using the ImageJ application. Result: Four variations of the filter affected the reduction of metal artifacts because the band pass median filter maintained a point that was close to its neighboring points and points that were different from its neighboring points by replacing the value of the pixel with the median value of the grey level of neighboring pixels. The optimal filter recommendation is the R1 filter because it has the largest SNR value (16.9773) and the smallest RMSE value (8.57501) so that the result of the image is more informative and has a diagnostic value. Conclusion: The four filter variations were affected by reducing metal artifacts. Images with substantial SNR and fractional RMSE values produced an image that was more informative and still had diagnostic value.

Abstract

Pondasi pasangan batu gunung biasanya digunakan untuk rumah sederhana 1 lantai. Pada pondasi tersebut sering dijumpai rongga-rongga antar batu gunung. Karena bentuk batu gunung yang tidak seragam membuat susunan batu gunung terlihat terdapat rongga. Hal ini diperlukan bahan altenatif lain untuk menggantikan batu gunung dalam pemasangan pondasi menerus rumah sederhana. Untuk itu penelitian ini merencanakan dimensi Blok Batu yang terbuat dari beton untuk mengurangi rongga pondasi menerus tersebut serta memiliki Kuat Tekan Beton yang disesuaikan dengan mutu beton. Dimensi Blok Batu 0,40x0,2x0,15 m dengan dua lubang berdiameter 5 cm. Blok Batu beton menggunakan material pasir Mahakam, batu split Palu ½ dan semen Tonasa (PCC) dengan mutu K-125. Perhitungan anggaran biaya untuk pemanfataan pondasi menerus material batu gunung dan pondasi menerus blok batu menggunakan harga satuan Kota Samarinda tahun 2021 dan analisa harga satuan pekerjaan dari Peraturan Menteri Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat No. 28/PRT/M/2016. Maka diperoleh besarnya biaya pemasangan pondasi menerus untuk rumah type 45 dengan Blok Batu beton sebesar Rp 18.012.760,98, dibandingkan dengan menggunakan pondasi batu gunung untuk rumah tipe yang sama memerlukan biaya sebesar Rp 28.976.363,55.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penulisan tugas akhir ini adalah untuk menghitung elemen struktur meliputi pelat, balok, dan kolom gedung SD Muhammadiyah 1 Samarinda. Perhitungan struktur beton dimulai dengan menghitung pembebanan lalu dimasukkan ke dalam SAP 2000 v14 dan didapatkan gaya-gaya dalam berupa momen (M), gaya lintang (D) dan gaya normal (N). Kemudian dihitung menggunakan metode SNI 03-2847-2002 dan mengacu pada PPIUG 1983. Dari perhitungan tersebut didapatkan hasil momen kolom terbesar yaitu 49403,24 kg.cm dengan jumlah tulangan 6 Ø12, momen balok sebesar 1506087,32 kg.cm dengan jumlah tulangan lapangan 5 Ø12 dan tumpuan 8 Ø12 dengan jarak tulangan geser pada tumpuan Ø10 - 150 mm dan tulangan geser lapangan lapangan Ø12 - 300 mm. Pada pelat lantai didapat jarak tulangan arah x Ø12 - 150 mm, tulangan arah y Ø12 – 200 mm.

Abstract

Campuran Stone Matrix Asphalt (SMA) masih belum banyak digunakan untuk perkerasan jalan di Indonesia.Stone Matrix Asphalt adalah jenis campuran aspal bergradasi senjang yang dibuat untuk mampu menahan kerusakan pada lapis aus dengan kadar aspal dan bahan pengisi yang tinggi sehingga mampu mengisi antar celah kosong akibat dari gradasi senjang. Selain itu agar tidak terjadi bleeding yang disebabkan kadar aspal tinggi maka campuran SMA memerlukan bahan tambah berupa serat selulosa. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membuktikan bahwa dengan penambahan ekstrak selulosa dari tanaman eceng gondok dapat digunakan sebagai pengganti serat selulosa sintesis dalam campuran aspal bergradasi senjang.Campuran serat yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 0%, 0.1%, 0.2%, 0.3% dan 0.4%. Hasil penelitian ini, penggunaan ekstrak selulosa eceng gondok memiliki pengaruh dalam parameter Marshall seperti stabilitas, flow dan VMA. Untuk nilai stabilitas dan flow pada penelitian ini nilainya berbanding lurus. Selain itu nilai VMA pada penelitian ini memenuhi spesifikasi yang ditentukan.Namun untuk nilai VIM pada pengujian ini tidak memenuhi spesifikasi. Hasil keseluruhan dari penelitian ini ekstrak selulosa tersebut dapat digunakan sebagai penganti selulosa buatan yang bertujuan sebagai bahan penstabil campuran kadar aspal tinggi dengan catatan untuk penelitian selanjutnya disarankan komposisi pada material agregat halus campuran dalam proses job mix desain harus ditambah.

Abstract

Kondisi geometrik Jalan Long Pahangai – Tiong Ohang terdapat banyak tikungan dan tanjakan di sepanjang STA. 0+000 hingga STA. 5+339. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan kondisi jalan di lapangan sesuai dengan teori. Setelah dianalisis dan dihitung mengenai geometrik jalan yang tepat, maka data-data tersebut dipergunakan untuk menganalisa tebal lapis perkerasan kaku pada jalan tersebut. Hasil analisa menyatakan bahwa beberapa tikungan dan tanjakan pada Jalan Long Pahangai – Tiong Ohang dari STA. 0+000 hingga STA. 5+339 ada yang tidak sesuai dengan ketentuan yang berlaku. Tebal perkerasan yang ada pada jalan tersebut memiliki tebal 20 cm yang merupakan batas terendah dari tebal perkerasan kaku.
